Republican Party may refer to:
The Georgia Republican Party is one of the two major political parties in the U.S. state of Georgia. It is affiliated with the United States Republican Party (GOP).
Governor Nathan Deal is the titular head of the Georgia Republican Party. John Padgett is the current State Chairman. Adam Pipkin is the executive director. Randy Evans serves as Republican National Committeeman representing Georgia. Linda Herren serves as the National Committeewoman. Republicans hold every elected position in the state for the first time since Reconstruction.
The Republican National Committee (RNC) handles the national party day-to-day operations. Campaigns, events, and other party related activities are handled by the RNC. Reince Priebus is the current Chairman of RNC, having won the last election after controversial Chairman Michael Steele withdrew his rebid nomination. The chairman of the RNC is chosen by the President when the Republicans have the White House or otherwise by the party's state committees. Interestingly, there has never been a chairman from Georgia. The RNC, under the direction of the party's presidential candidate, supervises the Republican National Convention, raises funds, and coordinates campaign strategy. On the local level there are similar state committees in every state and most large cities, counties and legislative districts, but they have far less money and influence than the national body.
Karen C. Handel (born April 18, 1962) is an American business consultant and former elected official.
She served as Secretary of State of Georgia from 2007 until January 2010, when she resigned to run, unsuccessfully, for the Republican Party nomination for Governor of Georgia. In 2011, Handel was appointed senior vice president of public policy at Susan G. Komen for the Cure, a leading charity in the cause of fighting breast cancer, and resigned on February 7, 2012, following the foundation's controversial decisions to end, and then restore, funding for Planned Parenthood. Karen Handel was a candidate for the Republican nomination for Governor in 2010, winning the primary but losing the primary runoff to Nathan Deal. Handel was also a candidate for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate in 2014 but lost in the May 20, 2014 Republican primary, coming in third.
Handel was born in Washington, D.C. and grew up in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. After graduating in May 1980 from Frederick Douglass High School in Upper Marlboro, Handel attended both Prince George's Community College and The University of Maryland, but did not complete any degree. She then went to work for Hallmark Cards. Later, she served as deputy chief of staff to Vice-President Dan Quayle's wife, Marilyn, where she worked to promote breast cancer awareness and research.

Republican Karen Handel has won Georgia's high-stakes special election the most expensive US House race on record. A little after 9:45 p.m. ET, Handel led Democrat Jon Ossoff by 5.7 percentage points, with 136 out of 208 precincts counted and 190,000 votes reported. At a Hyatt Regency in northern Atlanta, more than 100 Handel supporters packed into the hotel's ballroom. The crowd was buzzing after Handel's 8 p.m. appearance onstage to pump up her supporters about early vote numbers she was ahead of the GOP's forecast.
Karen Handel, the Republican candidate for Georgia’s 6th Congressional District House seat, apparently forgot how to hide the truth during a debate with her opponent Jon Ossoff this week when she freely admitted that she doesn’t support a livable wage for workers. Georgia’s minimum wage is currently more than $2 below the federal minimum wage, making it one of the lowest in the country. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins discusses this. ****New President Donald Trump Rally in IOWA: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xyo1hL7B1g **** Democrats and Republicans have spent two months hunting for voters who cast ballots in 2016 but didn’t participate in the April primary. These maps show precincts in which the April margin between the losing party and the winning one was less than the number of votes the party is chasing from last November. Both parties’ best chance is to get the voters who cast ballots for president to the polls in June. The darker the precinct, the more votes are outstanding. ►Website: GoldenStateTimes.com ►Dog Lover?
