ABOUT THE WEBINAR ======================== At the September 2013 TSN meeting, the Surety Account Subcommittee and the eBond Subcommittee held a joint meeting to discuss various issues related to sureties in the ACE environment and the status of eBond. Additionally, there were presentations from invited guests Monica Crockett, Director, Entry Summary Accounts and Revenue, John Everett, ACE Business office, Office of International Trade on the topic of eBond, and Kara Welty, Chief, Debt Management Branch, Revenue Division on the topic of the Single Transaction Bond Centralization project. At the end of the meeting, representatives from the NCBFAA asked if the Surety and eBond Subcommittee trade co-chairs would be willing to participate in a webinar on the status of eBond for the NCBFAA members who were unable to attend the TSN meeting. The Subcommittee co-chairs agreed to the request with the caveat that due to CBP's lack of progress on eBond for at least two (2) years (for whatever reasons) the information would have to be limited to the status of eBond as of September 2011. However, due to CBP's serendipitous scheduling of a December 2nd eBond update, we will be able to provide you with the most up-to-date information on where CBP intends to take eBond, how they intend to get there, and how it will affect the customs broker community. FedEx Trade Networks is one of North America's largest-volume customs entry filers and a leading provider of global cargo distribution, trade advisory services, and value-added logistics solutions. Colleen Clarke Vice President at Roanoke Insurance Group Inc. and TSN Surety Subcommittee Co-Chair Colleen Clarke has been involved in the international trade segment of the insurance field since 1988, and has led various initiatives to improve policies and partnerships between CBP, the surety industry and the trade. Since 2008, Colleen has served as Vice President, Surety Trade Relations for Roanoke Insurance Group Inc. and she also directs surety business development strategies for its Roanoke Underwriting division. Michael Davenport President of the International Trade Surety Association and TSN eBond Subcommittee Co-Chair Mr. Davenport was an original member of the Trade Support Network and continues to serve as a TSN/Trade Leadership Council Trade Ambassador and co-chair of the TSN eBond Subcommittee. Additionally, he is past and current president of the International Trade Insurance Company (ITSA) whose members underwrite approximately 70% of the bonds annually filed with CBP. Bruce Ingalls CBP Office of Administration -- Revenue Division Director He has worked for the US Customs Service and US Customs and Border Protection for 26 years. Over his career he has held a number of positions that include Import Specialist, Instructor, Assistant Port Director, Trade and Chief of the Entry and Drawback Management Branch. He currently is the Director of the Revenue Division in the Office of Administration.
