Christopher Andrew "Christy" Moore (born 7 May 1945) is an Irish folk singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He is well known as one of the founding members of Planxty and Moving Hearts. His first album, Paddy on the Road (a minor release of 500, although made available again on CD through his website and at gigs in 2010) was recorded with Dominic Behan (brother of Brendan) in 1969. In 2007, he was named as Ireland's greatest living musician in RTÉ's People of the Year Awards.^[1]

Early life[link]

Moore was born in Newbridge, County Kildare, Ireland. He was originally a bank employee who wanted to express himself using traditional music. A bank strike in 1966, which lasted six months (and effectively paralysed Irish commercial life for the duration), resulted in Moore spending considerable time practising music. When the strike ended, Moore had already decided where his passion in life arose, and left the bank for good.^[2]

Musical career[link]

1972 brought his first major release, Prosperous (named after the village of Prosperous, County Kildare, where the album was recorded), which brought together the four musicians who shortly thereafter formed Planxty: Liam O'Flynn, Andy Irvine, and Dónal Lunny. For a time they called themselves "CLAD", an acronym of their names, but soon decided on Planxty.^[2]

After leaving Planxty in 1975, Moore continued on his solo career, reforming his old band on occasion (which he has been doing ever since). He also formed the band Moving Hearts with Lunny and five other musicians in 1980. In 2000 he published his autobiography, One Voice.^[2]

Moore's earlier years of heavy drinking, sleeping dysfunctional hours, continual travelling, and often eating takeaway foods resulted in a decline in health, and several operations. Moore's battle with alcohol, and subsequent heart operations have taken their toll. At the end of the 1990s, Moore was requested to reduce his workload for medical reasons.^[2]

Some of Moore's songs are heavily influenced by drink and the effects of drink. His song "Delirium Tremens" being a good example. Listening to Johnny Mulhern's song "Hard Cases" causes Moore, in his website chat, to recall the Galway drinking scene with local musicians  Mickey Finn, Pete Galligan, Corky and Terry Smith.

On 17 April 2009, Moore released his first new studio album in four years, titled 'Listen' and it was promoted through a series of live gigs.^[3]

In December 2011, Moore released his latest album Folk Tale and made it available on Irish music website IrishCountry.ie

Political and social commentary[link]

Moore is best known for his political and social commentary, which reflects a leftwing Irish Republican perspective, this despite the fact that his mother was a Fine Gael county councillor and parliamentary candidate in Kildare.^[4] He supported the republican H-Block protestors in the 1970s and 1980s with the album H-Block in 1978, the launch of which was raided by the police, and The Spirit of Freedom.^[5] He has also recorded songs by the hunger striker Bobby Sands. However, in 1987 he ceased supporting the military activities of the IRA as a result of the Enniskillen bombing.^[6]

Individual political songs he has performed throughout his career include Mick Hanly's 'On the Blanket' about the protests of republican prisoners, his own 'Viva la Quinta Brigada' about Irish volunteers in the Spanish Civil War and his own 'Minds Locked Shut' about Bloody Sunday in Derry.

Moore has endorsed a long list of left wing support causes, ranging from El Salvador to Mary Robinson in the 1990 Presidential Election.^[2] At Glastonbury Festival in 2005 he sang about the Palestinian solidarity activist Rachel Corrie.

With typical Moore social consciousness, he opened the festival marking Ballymun's inception as Dublin's first Fairtrade Town on 23 November 2006. Ballymun, once synonymous with social deprivation and drug problems, is currently the largest urban regeneration project in northern Europe.

• The former Bishop of Galway, Eamon Casey, is the subject of Martin Egan's song 'Casey' often performed by Moore.
• In 2005, his popular release "Don't Forget Your Shovel" (written by Christie Hennessey) was referenced in a number 1 UK single "The JCB Song" by Nizlopi: "And the engine rattles my bum like berserk. While we're singin, 'Don't forget your shovel if you want to go to work!'" It was further referenced in the video for the same song; as the line is sung, the characters in the JCB pass a shop called "Christie's Shovels".

An Góilín Surprise[link]

On 6 October 2006 Moore paid a surprise visit to the An Góilín traditional singers' club in Dublin. There, before fifty or so people, Moore took out his guitar (instruments are rarely used in An Góilín, it being a singers' refuge) and sang songs reflective of the Irish language and socially radical culture of the club such as Na Conghailigh, about the deaths of Tomás and Seán Ó Conghaile off Conamara, and Viva la Quinta Brigada, about the role of the Irish fighting with the socialists in the Spanish Civil War.

In June 2007, Moore was guest on Desert Island Discs, a BBC programme that is often considered an accolade. He selected mainly Irish folk music that had inspired him and spoke of personal and political issues that had shaped his life.

Detention incident, 2004[link]

In October 2004, a story in several news agencies revealed how Moore had been stopped and detained by customs officers at the Welsh port of Holyhead.^[9][10] The article claimed the singer was stopped in his van with his driver, taken into an office and questioned over the lyrics of his songs. The following day in response to The Irish Times article, Moore released a statement saying: "My driver and I were stopped and held for two hours at Holyhead last Monday, under the Prevention of Terrorism Act 2002. My driver and I were held separately in two interrogation rooms. I found the whole experience threatening. I was questioned about the contents of my briefcase." Despite initial reports to the contrary, the singer's van, which was full of musical equipment, was not searched. "I was questioned about lyrics of songs and I was asked a lot of personal questions about members of my family and my children and about my home. At no time was I given any explanation as to why I was being held and interrogated in this manner", he added. He said the fact that Irish people are still being treated this way on their way to Britain is very "saddening". "I had hoped to deal with this matter out of the public domain. But seeing as it has become a news item, I feel the need to offer my side of the story. I found the whole affair quite frightening."^{[citation needed]}

June Christy (November 20, 1925 – June 21, 1990), born Shirley Luster, was an American singer, known for her work in the cool jazz genre and for her silky smooth vocals. Her success as a singer began with The Stan Kenton Orchestra. She pursued a solo career from 1954 and is best known for her debut album Something Cool. After her death, she was hailed as "one of the finest and most neglected singers of her time."^[1]

Early life[link]

Shirley Luster was born in Springfield, Illinois and moved with her family to Decatur, Illinois when she was three years old. She began to sing with the Decatur-based Bill Oetzel Orchestra at thirteen. While attending Decatur High School she appeared with Oetzel and his society band, the Ben Bradley Band, and Bill Madden's Band. After high school she moved to Chicago, changed her name to Sharon Leslie, and sang with a group led by Boyd Raeburn. Later she joined Benny Strong's band. In 1944, Strong's band moved to New York at the same time Christy was quarantined in Chicago with scarlet fever.

Work with Stan Kenton's Orchestra[link]

In 1945, after hearing that Anita O'Day had left Stan Kenton's Orchestra, she auditioned and was chosen for the role as a vocalist. During this time, she changed her name once again, becoming June Christy.

Her voice produced successful hits such as "Shoo Fly Pie and Apple Pan Dowdy," the million-selling "Tampico" in 1945, and "How High the Moon". "Tampico" was Kenton's biggest-selling record. When the Kenton Band temporarily disbanded in 1948, she sang in nightclubs for a short time, and reunited with the band two years later in 1950.^[2][3]

Solo career[link]

From 1947, she started to work on her own records, primarily with arranger and bandleader Pete Rugolo. In 1954, she released a 10" LP entitled Something Cool, recorded with Rugolo and his orchestra, a gathering of notable Los Angeles jazz musicians that included her husband, multi-instrumentalist Bob Cooper and alto saxophonist Bud Shank. Something Cool was re-released as a 12" LP in 1955 with additional selections, and then entirely rerecorded in stereo in 1960 with a somewhat different personnel. Christy would later say that the album was "the only thing I've recorded that I'm not unhappy with."^[4] Something Cool was also important in launching the vocal cool movement of the 1950s, and it hit the Top 20 Charts, as did her third album, The Misty Miss Christy.

In the 1950s and 1960s, Christy appeared on a number of television programs, including the short-lived CBS show Adventures in Jazz (1949), Eddie Condon's Floor Show (1949), The Alan Young Show (1950), The Jack Carter Show (1950), Penthouse Party (1951), The Jackie Gleason Show (1953), The Tonight Show (1955), The Nat King Cole Show (1957), Stars of Jazz (1958), The Steve Allen Show (1959), Playboy's Penthouse (1961), The Lively Ones (1963),^[5] The Mike Douglas Show (1965), Not Only But Also (1965) and The Joey Bishop Show (1967). She also appeared on the first sponsored jazz concert on television, The Timex All-Star Jazz Show I (December 30, 1957),^[6] which also featured Louis Armstrong, Carmen McRae, Duke Ellington and Gene Krupa.

Christy embarked on dozens of concert tours, playing in Europe, South Africa, Australia and Japan. She toured to such an extent that eventually it began taking a toll on her marriage. She began to pull back from touring in the early 1960s.^[7]

R.M. Cook and Brian Morton, writers of The Penguin Guide to Jazz Recordings, appreciated the singer's body of work: "Christy's wholesome but particularly sensuous voice is less an improviser's vehicle than an instrument for long, controlled lines and the shading of a fine vibrato. Her greatest moments—the heartbreaking 'Something Cool' itself, 'Midnight Sun,' 'I Should Care'—are as close to creating definitive interpretations as any singer can come."^[7]

Personal life[link]

Christy was married to Bob Cooper. In 1954, she gave birth to a daughter, Shay Cooper.^[8] Christy's nephew claims that although she was agnostic, she was very well versed in religion and philosophy, identifying at least partially with Buddhism.^[9]

Later years and death[link]

Christy mostly retired from the music business in 1969,^[10] in part due to her battle with alcoholism.^[11][12]

In 1972, she sang at the Newport Jazz Festival in New York City, where she was reunited with the Kenton Orchestra. She also performed at a handful of jazz festivals during the late 1970s and 1980s, playing with a band of all-star west coast jazz musicians led by Shorty Rogers.^[8] Her final performance came in 1988 sharing the stage with Chet Baker. Christy returned to the recording studio in 1977 to record her final LP, Impromptu.

Christy died at her home in Sherman Oaks, California of kidney failure on June 21, 1990, at the age of 64.^[10][13] Her remains were cremated and scattered off the coast of Marina Del Rey.^[14]

Lauren Christy is an English singer-songwriter and music producer. She is apart of the writing trio The Matrix.

Christy was born in London, England. She studied at the Bush Davies Ballet School as a child, before she decided to become a musician.^[1]

Christy was a member of several bands. Her first band, Pink Ash, consisted of six male members and herself. Her stage name was Susie Reptile. After frantically writing and looking for inspiration from her keyboards, Christy achieved both a publishing deal with EMI and a major label record contract with Polygram Records.

She released her self-titled debut album on February 19, 1993, including the singles "You Read Me Wrong" and "Steep," which targeted the adult contemporary market. Her second, Breed, was released on July 22, 1997 and featured a substantially different style than Lauren Christy, being more of a pop rock album.

In 1994, Christy had a minor AC hit with "The Color of the Night", the theme song to the Bruce Willis film Color of Night. After the song gained airplay, her eponymous debut album was re-released with "The Color of the Night" included as a bonus track.

Three years later, she contributed the song "Breed" to the Batman and Robin soundtrack, which was also released as the first single for the Breed album. Though the song's video received heavy rotation on MTV, the single and album failed to chart. The second single, "Magazine" also failed to make an impression.

Though Breed is Christy's most recent full length album as of 2007^[update] (reportedly plans for a third album were shelved with the demise of Mercury Records^{[citation needed]}), she has continued to contribute to film and television soundtracks, particularly the song "Walk This Earth Alone" on the Great Expectations soundtrack. The track "Anywhere the Wind Blows" appears in the film Seven Girlfriends (as does Christy herself, in a bit part) and "Satellite" can be found on the closing credits to William Shatner's Free Enterprise, though neither song has seen a commercial release outside of the movie appearances. "I Want What I Want" from the Breed album made it into the movie Wild Things, but failed to make it onto the movie's soundtrack.

Since the late 1990s, Christy has primarily worked with her husband; songwriter and music producer Graham Edwards and musician, composer and remixer Scott Spock in pop music writing and production team called The Matrix. Christina Lee "Christy" Hemme (born October 28, 1980)^[2] is an American professional wrestling valet, retired professional wrestler, and former model and singer currently signed to Total Nonstop Action Wrestling performing as ring announcer and interviewer.

Early life[link]

Hemme was born in Poway, California,^[2] but she grew up in Temecula, California.^[6][7][8] She enjoyed racing street bikes and dirt bikes.^[2][7] She was a "self-described" tomboy.^[7] She grew up watching wrestling and favored The Undertaker.^[6][9]

She was a cheerleader for two years at Temecula Valley High.^[9][10] She graduated in 1998 at age seventeen.^[9] Hemme attended Mt. San Jacinto College, where she majored in dance.^[8]

Modeling career[link]

After graduating, she relocated to Los Angeles, California to pursue a career in modeling.^[8][9] Hemme initially joined a burlesque dance team known as "The Purrfect Angelz".^[2][7][9] She performed at Easyrider tours and Harley motorcycle rallies.^[11] She went on to appear in magazines such as Maxim,^[8] Playboy, Rolling Stone, and Stuff.^[7][11] In addition, she appeared in the music video of the Trace Adkins songs "Chrome", and "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk" and in videos for bands Blink-182 and Sonic. She also had parts in commercials for AT&T and TrimSpa,^[7] and she was a spokesmodel for Hawaiian Tropic.^[8] Other early jobs included a waitressing job at Hooters.^[10]

In past years, her image has also been found on Bench Warmer trading cards as Christy "Sunni" Hemme.^[7] As Sunni, she was Bullz-eye.com's featured model in September 2002.^[7][12] Her modeling career led to her joining the cast of Comedy Central's The Man Show as a member of the "Juggy Dance Squad" in 2003.^{[2][6][9][13]} Hemme remained with the series for a year, during which she appeared on The Commies, a Comedy Central produced award show, on December 7, 2003.^[7]

In the mid-2004, Hemme participated in the Diva Search, a competition held by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in order to recruit new Divas.^[11] In the course of the competition, Hemme and the five other finalists faced seven existing Divas in a game of dodgeball at SummerSlam on August 15, eliminating all eight Divas with the loss of just one finalist, Joy Giovanni. Hemme was announced as the winner of the competition on September 20, with a prize of a one year contract with WWE with remuneration of $250,000.^[2][9][11] Hemme began her WWE career as a member of the Raw roster. She quickly began a feud with Carmella DeCesare, the runner-up of the Diva Search. The feud culminated in a "lingerie pillow fight" at Taboo Tuesday on October 19, with Hemme defeating her opponent by pinfall.^[4]

Following her feud with DeCesare, Hemme began a rivalry with WWE Women's Champion Trish Stratus. Stratus along with Molly Holly and Gail Kim threw Hemme an initiation party but, it soon turned into a 3-on-1 Bra and Panties Handicap match, Hemme was easily beaten. Stratus was ostensibly scornful of Hemme's appearance in the April 2005 issue of Playboy. Stratus interrupted Hemme's Playboy unveiling and spray painted all over the cover, Hemme responded by slapping her, this resulted in Stratus delivering a Chick Kick to her and spraying the word Slut on her back.^[14] Hemme eventually challenged Stratus to a match at WrestleMania 21,^[3][5][6] with Stratus's nemesis Lita training her in the weeks preceding the event.^[10] At WrestleMania 21 on April 3, Stratus defeated Hemme to retain her title. ^[4] In the months after WrestleMania, Hemme began another feud with Victoria, who claimed to be jealous of the opportunities afforded to Hemme.^[4] The feud culminated in a bout at Vengeance on June 26, which Victoria won after countering Hemme's sunset flip move by using the ropes to pin Hemme.^[13] With her feud with Victoria over, Hemme briefly aligned herself with Eugene before she and Stacy Keibler were traded to SmackDown! in exchange for Candice Michelle and Torrie Wilson on August 25.^[4] Hemme then feuded with Melina, the valet of MNM, in the process joining forces with the Legion of Doom.^[4] At No Mercy on October 9, Hemme and the Legion of Doom defeated MNM in a six-person intergender tag team match.^[4] Her feud with Melina continued into November, with Melina defeating Hemme in two televised singles bouts.^[4]

Ohio Valley Wrestling and departure (2005)[link]

On November 30, Hemme debuted in Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), a WWE developmental territory, aligning herself with Matt Cappotelli in opposition to Aaron Stevens, Beth Phoenix, and Shelly Martinez.^[4] On December 5, 2005 she was released from her WWE contract.^[5] The release happened shortly after WWE asked her to relocate to Louisville, Kentucky to train at OVW.^[15] The company cited budget cuts and the creative team having nothing for her as the reason for her dismissal.^[15]

Years later in November 2008 in her column for TNAwrestling.com Hemme stated her departure from WWE was on her own terms because: "I stuck to my guns on my morals and values as a human being. I knew in my gut that it would be the end, but I also knew that carrying guilt for knowingly doing something against what I believed wasn't worth getting ahead. Leaving broke my heart... but doing the right thing is something I will always be proud of."^[16]

Hemme signed with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) in April 2006,^[5] and she debuted on April 23 at Lockdown. At Hardcore War, Hemme refereed a match between Traci and Gail Kim.^[4] In July 2006, she was featured on the Women of Action special. She also began traveling to Windsor, Ontario to train under TNA agent Scott D'Amore in between TNA TV tapings. She was also Knockout of the Year for 2006.^[4]

On January 14, 2007 at Final Resolution, Christy came out and interrupted the Voodoo Kin Mafia (VKM) and cut a promo about the involvement of women in wrestling.^[4] She said that she wanted to wrestle too—and the mostly male crowd in the TNA arena jeered her. Kip James called her a slut, which garnered him a slap from Hemme, while B.G. James attempted to play peacemaker.^[4] In the following weeks, Kip and Hemme got into a few arguments over his lack of respect for her and women as a whole. Hemme made her TNA in-ring debut at Against All Odds where she wrestled and defeated "The Big Fat Oily Guy" in a Tuxedo match, but after his match Kip James stripped her.^[4] On the March 8 version of Impact, Hemme asked Jim Cornette for a match pitting VKM against her new, previously undisclosed, team, at Destination X. Cornette consented and booked the match. On the pay-per-view, Hemme introduced The Heartbreakers. Despite Hemme's attempts to give Kip a low blow, VKM defeated her team, who she later browbeat at ringside.^[4] Hemme later announced that she had found another team to face the VKM. At the preshow prior to the Lockdown pay-per-view, the mystery team was revealed to be Serotonin (Havok and Kaz), but VKM defeated them as well.^[4] She then brought in Basham and Damaja as her new permanent tag team in her battle with VKM.^[4] They beat Kip in a handicap match at Sacrifice as B.G. had been attacked by them earlier in the night.^[4] At Slammiversary, VKM beat Basham and Damaja, but VKM's associate Lance Hoyt turned on them and kissed Hemme.^[4]

Basham and Damaja were then released from the company, and Hoyt formed a partnership with Jimmy Rave, named The Rock 'n Rave Infection, with Hemme as their manager.^[4] In the winter of 2007, Hemme, Rave, and Hoyt entered into a feud with The Latin American Xchange (LAX) faction after being attacked several times by a mysterious assailant.^[4] The assailant was revealed to be Salinas (Shelly Martinez) at Final Resolution following LAX's victory over the Infection.^[4] Shortly after Final Resolution, The Rock 'n Rave Infection began a new gimmick, acting as though they were a rock band with Hemme portraying the lead singer. On the March 13 episode of Impact, Hemme, Rave and Hoyt won a six-person tag team match against LAX after Hemme hit Salinas with a guitar.^[4] At No Surrender, Hemme, Hoyt, and Rave lost in an intergender six person tag team match against the Prince Justice Brotherhood (Shark Boy, Curry Man, and Super Eric).^[4]

Singles competition (2008–2009)[link]

Hemme turned into a fan favorite on the October 16, 2008 episode of Impact when she was attacked by The Beautiful People (Angelina Love and Velvet Sky) backstage.^[4] She feuded with them, which resulted in two consecutive tag team matches with ODB and Sojourner Bolt respectively.^[4] After showcasing improved wrestling skills, Hemme was then placed into a more active in-ring role, being pushed to challenge Awesome Kong at Final Resolution after defeating Raisha Saeed on the November 27 edition of TNA Impact!.^[4] Hemme then teamed with A.J. Styles in a mixed tag team match against Awesome Kong and Scott Steiner, where Hemme pinned Kong.^[4] At Final Resolution, it appeared Hemme was about to win the title, but was attacked by Saeed and Rhaka Khan, thus winning on a disqualification.^[4] Hemme was then granted a re-match at Genesis.^[4] A week later Hemme teamed with ODB against Khan and Saeed in a winning effort.^[4] On January 2009, Hemme sustained a neck injury while training in the ring with Styles for her match and would be unable to compete at Genesis against Awesome Kong.^[4] Her injury required surgery and she was out of action for about seven months.

Hemme returned to TNA programming on the August 13, 2009 episode of Impact! defeating Sojournor Bolt via pinfall.^[4] The next week on Impact she formed an alliance with Tara, when they helped save Madison Rayne from the Beautiful People.^[4] Later that night Hemme competed in a four-way match against Sarita, Awesome Kong and Traci Brooks. Brooks won the match after she pinned Hemme.^[4] On the September 3 edition of Impact, Hemme competed in the first round of the tournament for the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship alongside her tag partner Tara against Sojourner Bolt and Hamada, which Hemme and Tara won.^[4] On September 17 they however lost in the semi finals to the Beautiful People due to interference from Madison Rayne.^[4] On October 1 on Impact! she faced Traci Brooks in a battle of the playboy playmates which she won, but was attacked by Traci after the match.^[4] On the October 29 edition of Impact!, Hemme teamed with Hamada and ODB in a six knockout tag team match, where they were defeated by Madison Rayne, Velvet Sky and Lacey Von Erich, after Von Erich pinned Hemme.^[4] This would turn out to be her final TNA match.^[4]

Backstage interviewer and ring announcer (2009–present)[link]

On the December 10 edition of Impact! Hemme debuted in her new role as a backstage interviewer.^[17] On December 16, 2009, Hemme announced her retirement from in-ring competition after her last match in a gauntlet.^[18] On April 7, 2010, Dixie Carter announced on her Twitter account that Hemme had signed a new multi-year deal with the company.^[19] On the December 2 edition on Impact! Hemme was involved in a small backstage catfight with Cookie during a brawl with Cookie's cohort X Division Champion Robbie E and Jay Lethal.^[20] On the December 16 edition of Impact! Hemme came out during an X Division Championship match between Robbie E and Lethal and handcuffed herself to Cookie, thus preventing her from interfering in the match and subsequently costing Robbie the X Division Championship. After the match Hemme and Lethal celebrated, which led to a kiss between the two.^[21] Since the April 28 edition of Impact!, Hemme served in her new role as a ring announcer.^[22]

Independent circuit (2006-2007)[link]

In November 2006, Hemme participated in the Queens of Chaos shows in Paris, France.^[5][23] She wrestled two matches with April Hunter; Hemme won the first match, but lost the second. She then defeated British wrestler Minx to earn the right to referee the championship match, which was eventually won by Hunter. On July 21, 2007, Hemme defeated Ann Brookstone at a Heavy on Wrestling event in Superior, Wisconsin with Nora Greenwald acting as Special Guest Referee. She has also competed in Women Superstars Uncensored under the ring name Kristy Hemme.

Music and acting[link]

In September 2006, Hemme recorded a song entitled "Society Box", which was featured on TNA's November 21, 2006 music release, 3rd Degree Burns. Hemme is also the founder and lead singer in HEMME. The band released five songs on their MySpace: "In This Moment", "Visit Me Mom", "Shine", "Dear You", and "Dirty"; the songs have since been removed following the departure of original members Randy "Slick" Ramirez, Steve "Slide" Goodwin, Roland "Rollin" Maniago, and Rocky "Rock" Ramirez, all from the band POLARIS. Christy has now released another song, Don't Give Up on her official Myspace [1], and a HEMME EP Named "Where are You" which is available on iTunes also featuring Randy "Slick" Ramirez on 3 songs and co-written by. Hemme is Christy Hemme on vocals, Eric "Erock" Friedman on guitar, Tim Miller on bass, and Garrett Whitlock on drums.

In December 2006, Hemme recorded a scene for Bloodstained Memoirs, a wrestling documentary. Her scene can be seen in the special extras of the DVD.^[24] Hemme made her acting debut in the film Fallen Angels, portraying the deadly sin "Lust". She also filmed a role in another horror film tentatively titled Bubba's Chili Parlor, playing a zombie.

In November 2010 she was a contestant on an all TNA week of Family Feud, teaming with Angelina Love, Lacey Von Erich, Tara and Velvet Sky against Jay Lethal, Matt Morgan, Mick Foley, Mr. Anderson and Rob Van Dam.^[25]

Personal life[link]

Hemme has a brother, David, and a sister, Deena Hemme,^[6][9] who is also a model. Her father, Robert, owns an insurance agency in her hometown of Temecula.^{[citation needed]} Her mother Susan died in 2002. Christy stated in the DVD Viva Las Divas that the week she won the WWE Raw Diva Search was on the anniversary of her mom's death.^{[citation needed]}

Hemme is an avid motorcyclist.^[7] She owns a Harley-Davidson Dyna Low Rider.^[10]
