Clay Marzo - The New Yorker
"Brah, Gino's Pizza, its gotta be good it's the same name as my dad". - Clay Clay went to NY to compete in the Quikie Pro trials . Clay isn't that fond of big city's, and avoided driving into the city to be filmed walking around little Italy like his sponsors were trying to force him to do. The food and waves in Long Beach were all Clay needed to feel right at home. The water was even trunkable, well for Clay at least due as Aspergers gives him a larger tolerance to pain and extreme temperatures. Clay and I met some really great people on this trip. A big shout out to Mother Mary and Ohana, (Ballsacks mum) for taking care of us as if we were her own. Also a big thank you to Anthony Salerno for the sharing his local knowledge and helping us find uncrowded perfect surf and the best damn underground Deli's and returaunts in Long Beach. Anthony was living in his hurricane flooded house and taking care of his family while still finding time to take us in like family. Much Mahalos Presented by Westside Pride Media Surfing by Clay Marzo Shot by Adam Klevin (additional footage: Jamie Tierney) Edit by Shaun Swink Music: Looney Bin - "Supa Nova Over", "Chapter 2 Life" www.facebook.com Sage Maestro - "The Void" www.soundcloud.com www.reverbnation.com

Description:
I had a chance to go visit one of the greatest cities this summer. Right when I got of the plane and arrived downtown New York, I took my camera and strolled out through the busy streets of New York City. I wanted to capture the great culture and street aesthetic of New York and I think it turned out really well. The video includes recordings from both Manhattan and Brooklyn, where I spend hours capturing the culture and everyday life of native New Yorkers.

A new film combing animation with live action conceived and directed by Joshua Frankel, about the architecture of New York City blasting off into outer space and resettling on Mars. The film’s visuals are an animated collage combining live action footage, animated elements, illustrations and treated photographs, including photos taken by the Mars rovers Spirit and Opportunity made available to the public domain by the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
Plan of the City was created in collaboration with composer Judd Greenstein and NOW Ensemble, an acclaimed "indie classical" chamber ensemble; the ensemble, including Greenstein, feature prominently in the film as live actors set inside the animated framework.
The audio of the film consists solely of Greenstein's Change, performed by NOW Ensemble; Change and Plan of the City were created in parallel, each expressing its own artistic intention while simultaneously serving its "sibling".
The film was presented with the music performed live, timed to the film, at Le Poisson Rouge in New York City in May, 2011. It also exists as its own stand-alone entity, utilizing NOW Ensemble's recent studio recording of Change(out on New Amsterdam Records).
