Ethiopia's ruthless dictator Meles Zenawi has unleashed a "scorched Earth" policy towards the Ogaden region of Ethiopia, resulting in the world's largest ongoing genocide. A media and humanitarian aid blockade has been imposed on the Ogaden region, while his troops continue to commit crimes against humanity towards the civilian population. Estimations by experts put the death toll of 110000 Ogaden civilians since the start of the genocide in 2007, when Zenawi unleashed 50000 troops into the region to crack down on anti-Meles Zenawi forces. Please help us stop the Ogaden Genocide. Mail and phone the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Mrs. Fatou Bensouda, to issue an arrest warrant for Meles Zenawi. Please send an email to the ICC about Zenawi's genocide: otp.informationdesk@icc-cpi.int To contact the ICC by phone: Tel. + 31 (0)70 515 8515 Related article

+ 31 (0)70 515 8515

Protests Over Anti-Islam Film Spread Across Arab World As Libya Makes Arrests Over Attack On US Embassy Violent protests against against an American-made film about the prophet Muhammad continued to rage across the Middle East and North Africa in the wake of the deadly attack on the US embassy in Libya. Libya said arrests had been made after three embassy staff and US ambassador Chris Stevens were killed after guns, mortars and grenades were fired at the consulate. Libyan prime minister Mustafa Abu Shagur told the AFP news agency: "We have some names and some photographs. Arrests have been made and more are under way as we speak." During a demonstration in front of the US embassy in Cairo, Egypt, protesters hold up a flag that says "No God but Allah, and Mohammed is his prophet," and chant anti US slogans The announcement that Libya had made a "big advance" in finding those responsible came as a senior Libyan security official raised questions over whether the protests were a cover for a militant jihadist operation. Wanis el-Sharef, eastern Libya's deputy interior minister told the Associated Press that it was an organised attack on the US organised to co-incide with the 9/11 attacks. American warships are being sent to Libya as a "precautionary measure" reported the BBC. A black Islamic flag is flying over the US embassy in Tunisia after it was stormed by a mob of protesters today - as anger at an American-made anti-Islam film resulted in chaos across the world. Symbols of America and US embassies have been targeted around the globe in a fourth day of protest after Tuesday's deadly raid on the American consulate in Libya. In Tunisian capital Tunis, a mob overran the US embassy compound, scaling the walls and setting fire to cars before tearing down the Stars and Stripes and replacing it with the symbol of Islam. It is not thought any US staff were in the embassy in Tunis, where an American school has also been set on fire. A large cloud of black smoke rose around the US embassy as stone-throwing protesters and police waged a pitched battle. Thousands of demonstrators massed outside the embassy and several were seen climbing the outer wall of the embassy grounds and raising a flag on which was written the Muslim profession of faith. The protesters chanted 'Obama, Obama, we are all Osamas'. Police responded by firing tear gas, live rounds killing two protesters and wounding 28. A group of several dozen protesters briefly managed to enter the embassy compound and set fire to cars in an embassy parking lot. They were pushed back outside by police and special forces who continued to arrive on the scene. It was the worst incident in clashes around the world - with angry protesters ransacking a KFC and Hardee's restaurant in Lebanon, police ...

President Barack Obama on Wednesday condemned attacks on a US consulate in eastern Libya that killed the US ambassador and three American members of his staff. He ordered increased security at US diplomatic posts around the world. In a White House statement, Obama said he had ordered "all necessary resources to support the security of our personnel in Libya, and to increase security at our diplomatic posts around the globe." The US ambassador to Libya and three other embassy staff were killed in a rocket attack on their car, a Libyan official said, as they were rushed from a consular building stormed by militants denouncing a US-made film insulting the Prophet Mohammad. Gunmen had attacked and burned the US consulate in the eastern city of Benghazi, a center of last year's uprising against Muammar Gaddafi, late on Tuesday evening, killing one US consular official. The building was evacuated. The Libyan official said the ambassador, Christopher Stevens, was being driven from the consulate building to a safer location when gunmen opened fire. "The American ambassador and three staff members were killed when gunmen fired rockets at them," the official in Benghazi told Reuters. There was no immediate comment from the State Department in Washington. US ambassadors in such volatile countries are accompanied by tight security, usually travelling in well-protected convoys. Security officials will be considering whether the two attacks were coordinated. Libyan deputy prime ...

The movie, "Innocence of Muslims," that mocks and insults the Prophet Muhammad caused demonstrators to attack a US consulate in Libya, killing one American, and breached the walls of the US Embassy in Cairo. Angry protests over the film by a US producer, directed and produced by an Egyptian-born Coptic Christian who characterized it as a political effort to call attention to the hypocrisies of Islam. It has been promoted by Terry Jones, the Florida pastor whose burning of Qurans previously sparked deadly riots around the world. In Benghazi, Libya, several dozen gunmen from an Islamist group, Ansar al Sharia, attacked the consulate with rocket-propelled grenades to protest the film, a deputy interior minister for the Benghazi region told the Al-Jazeera network. A government brigade evacuated the consulate, after which militants set it on fire, said the minister, Wanees Sharef. One State Department officer was killed in the attack in Benghazi, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Tuesday night. Mrs. Clinton said the State Department was working with Libyans to secure the compound and protect Americans in Libya. To the east, in Cairo, a crowd of some 2000 people gathered at the Embassy to protest the video. Some of them climbed the embassy walls late Tuesday, pulling down and burning an American flag. Hours after nightfall, dozens of young men remained standing on top of the embassy walls, shouting into megaphones. One of the youths climbed up the flagpole to hoist a ...
