I wanted to take the prim and proper concert piano and pianists straight off the stage and throw them into the dusty, scary, grimy mess of the factory where these majestic black creatures are born.
I have always wanted to make a video with a piano in it and finally got the chance to make this quick little video! I have always been mesmerized by pianos, even just the look of them. They have always had an ominous quality to them. Their shiny, black skin, and volcanic vibrations inside. I wanted to show the piano the way I saw them...as passionate, living beings that suck the creative life out of anyone who touches them and feeds it into the ears of the listener.
Steinway let my cinematographer (Nathan Miller) and I into their factory to run around and shoot with some of their brand new crazy expensive pianos. It was a dream come true! They don't let filmmakers or photographers in very often, so I am very grateful that they let us do the things I did inside there!! Haha! And to work with the pianists, having fun experimenting on this was one of the best times I've had this year. I almost got heat stroke, I sprained my ankle, and almost died from the fumes in the factory, but I (we) survived it! And thank you, Clay, for enduring the craziness!

Mani Nasry an exceptionally talented filmmaker, actor and artist with a sophisticated breadth of education, skills, experience, and professional accomplishments. He trained as an actor and director in New York with Salem Ludwig and with Donna DeMatteo for playwriting. For Mani, the decision to work in the film industry guided his academic decisions from an early age. He attended a Toronto high school renowned for excellence in the arts, and was accepted into one of the highly competitive film program at Ryerson university. It is notable that he went to Ryerson with an already well-established career in theatre, film, television and commercial work, and a range of multi-faceted achievements including producing, cinematography, casting, writing, directing, acting, and editing. On his own he added stints in New York and Los Angeles with leading acting teachers, as well as learning the grace and style of many forms of dance and athletics. With courses perceptively, he has also recognized the importance of acquiring an understanding of the business side of the industry, and the varied aspects of technology and production. There are some people clearly born to follow the path they have chosen from the start. Mani Nasry has the passion to succeed, the curiosity and ingenuity required to lead and collaborate in an industry known for its impact and appeal, and the strength of character and work ethic to immerse himself in finding and telling an unforgettable story.

Lost his arms from an accident at age 10, Liu Wei from Beijing never gives up living strong. He managed to do everything with his feet and started to learn to play piano at age 19. His dream is to become a musician. He just turned 23 and he won the China's Got Talent Show on Oct. 10, 2010. In the final, he played piano and sang the song "You Are Beautiful", perhaps his vocal is not the best render of this song, but the power and inspiration of his zest for life won him the final. Bravo! Liu Wei's motto is,"I have two options - I can die as fast as possible, or I can live a brilliant life. And I chose the latter." Congrats to Liu Wei! Liu Wei's quotes: "To me, there are 3 things can not be missed in life - air, water and music."
