This fully furnished apartment is found on the 2nd floor of a mid-rise brick building. Upon entering, you will find yourself in the living room.
The living room comes furnished with a couch and a table, and has a large window.
Also in the living room, you will find the open kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, an oven, a refrigerator, a sink, and marble countertops where you can have meal. Being a furnished apartment, all utensils are provided for cooking.
The bathroom has tiled walls and is equipped with a sink, a mirror, and a shower with a bathtub.
The bedroom comes with a queen-size bed, a dresser, a lamp, plenty of closet space, and two windows overlooking the backyard.
As we mentioned it above, this furnished apartment is located in Washington Heights, which is largely a residential area in Uptown Manhattan, rich in shopping, restaurants and grocery stores, and has a fitness center a few blocks away from our apartment.
Fort Tyron Park is one of the most famous spots in Washington Heights. Built in 1935, it was designed by the architect Frederick Law Olmsted Jr., son of the designer of Central Park.
Sherman Creek is another interesting spot, and a great place to have a relaxing picnic with family and friends.

Travel writer Rob McFarland (aka McTraveller) attempts to cycle the circumference of Manhattan in a day.
Over the past few years New York has developed a network of dedicated riverside bike trails that, in theory, should allow you to ride the whole way around the island, a distance of 52 kilometres.
Highlights along the way include the Little Red Lighthouse, the USS Intrepid and the futuristic-looking Gehry-designed IAC building.

Washington Heights is a neighborhood in the northern portion of the New York City borough of Manhattan. The area, with over 150,000 inhabitants as of 2010, is named for Fort Washington, a fortification constructed at the highest point on Manhattan island by Continental Army troops during the American Revolutionary War, to defend the area from the British forces. Washington Heights is bordered by Harlem to the south, along 155th Street, Inwood to the north along Hillside Avenue, the Hudson River to the west, and the Harlem River and Coogan's Bluff to the east.
History
Early history
In the 18th century, only the southern portion of the island was settled by Europeans, leaving the rest of Manhattan largely untouched. Among the many unspoiled tracts of land was the highest spot on the island, which provided unsurpassed views of what would become the New York metropolitan area.
When the Revolutionary War came to New York, the British had the upper hand. General George Washington and troops from his Continental Army camped on the high ground, calling it Fort Washington, to monitor the advancing Redcoats. The Continental Army retreated from its location after their defeat on November 16, 1776, in the Battle of Fort Washington. The British took the position and renamed it Fort Knyphausen in honor of the leader of the Hessians, who had taken a major part in the British victory. Their location was in the spot now called Bennett Park. Fort Washington had been established as an offensive position to prevent British vessels from sailing north on the Hudson River. Fort Lee, across the river, was its twin, built to assist in the defense of the Hudson Valley. The progress of the battle is marked by a series of bronze plaques along Broadway.

Powered by http://www.tanmarket.com - The George Washington Bridge (known informally as the GW Bridge, the GWB, the GW, or the George) is a double-decked suspension bridge spanning the Hudson River, connecting the Washington Heights neighborhood in the borough of Manhattan in New York City to Fort Lee, Bergen County, New Jersey, in the United States. Interstate 95 (I-95) and U.S. Route 1/9 (US 1/9) cross the river via the bridge. The New Jersey Turnpike (part of I-95) and US 46, which lie entirely within New Jersey, end halfway across the bridge at the state border with New York. At its eastern terminus in New York City, the bridge connects with the Trans-Manhattan Expressway.
The bridge, an integral conduit within the New York Metropolitan Area, has an upper level carrying four lanes in each direction and a lower level with three lanes in each direction, for a total of 14 lanes of travel. The speed limit on the bridge is 45 mph (72 km/h), though congestion often slows traffic, especially during the morning and evening rush hours. The bridge's upper level carries pedestrian and bicycle traffic. Today we are among the deepest stations of the New York City Subway in the area of Washington Heights, Manhattan.
Washington Heights is quite far uptown. Here, Manhattan is much more hilly than one might expect. The neighbourhood is served by the IRT Seventh Avenue–Broadway line as well as the IND Eighth Avenue line.
We begin at 191th Street station, which is served by the (1) train. Interestingly, at 55 m below street level, this is the deepest station on the New York City Subway. However, only one station further, at Dyckman Street, the subway leaves the tunnel and continues via an elevated structure. The station has an exit toward Broadway and 190th Street via a long tunnel, which is beautifully decorated. From here it is only a few meters to 190th Street station on the IND Eighth Avenue Line, served by the (A) train.
