My Biome Song
Terrestrial Biomes of the World song. Here is a video I created for my 6th grade science students to help them study.I hope you enjoy. I'm coming home To my Biome Tell the world there's six main Biomes Some are dry and others rain, some have trees and others plain I know my kingdom awaits with plants and animals and lakes I'm coming home, to my Biome Tell the World that I'm coming I'm back where I belong Yeah, in my own Biome I fell like this climate is just right And if you with me put your hands high If you ever lost your way before. This one's for you I hear the call of the Macaw I love their song The Rainforest is hot and sticky on the floor It's gonna rain again at dawn Another Boa, Capybara, Jaguar, and Gibbon With the Canopy, Understory, and Forest Floor It's got a lot of stuff, and it's near the equator What if they keep knockin' down all the palms How do I respond? What if we move around to a much different zone? The deserts can be icy, sandy, or from stone Hey, nothing seems to be growing But at night it gets cold to the bone Another day another dawn Just tell Africa and Asia no rain in the morn' Another hot and dry day gone I need to get back to the place I belong I'm coming home To my Biome Tell the world there's six main Biomes Some are dry and others rain, some have trees and others plain I know my kingdom awaits with plants and animals and lakes I'm coming home, to my Biome Tell the World that I'm coming... home Hey yo, check this out The Taiga's a Biome ...

Learn Biology: Biomes and Communities Definition
Check out Bas Rutten's Liver Shot on MMA Surge: bit.ly Mahalo biology expert Mary Poffenroth explains the difference between a biome and a community. The areas of the earth may be divided up into large areas with similar attributes (biomes) and smaller areas (communities). A community may be named for the most prominent vegetation in the area, or derive its name from the biome in which it is set. Biomes are categorized by climate, as well as plant and animal life. There are two types of biomes: terrestrial, or dry land areas, and aquatic, or water-covered areas.www.youtube.com Terrestrial Biomes --------------------------------------------------------------------- Terrestrial biomes of dry land range from the very hot desert to the extremely cold tundra, not to mention tropical rainforests, savannahs, deciduous forests, coniferous forests and grassland among other areas. These biomes are classified by determining their location, the amount of sunlight they receive, climate, temperature, soil and its nutrients, and water availability.www.youtube.com Aquatic Biomes --------------------------------------------------------------------- Aquatic biomes are affected by how much sunlight they receive. For example, very little sunlight or none at all can reach the bottom of the ocean. This allows for further division of the water environments. They may be photic (sunlit) or aphotic (little to no sunlight reaches the area).www.youtube.com will affect the vegetation and the ...

Purchase DVD here www.greatpacificmedia.com Segment from the program: Terrestrial Biomes: Deserts, Grasslands, and Forests. DVD Description Our Terrestrial Biomes DVD starts by introducing the four requirements of life - nutrients, energy, liquid water and temperatures appropriate for carrying out life processes and then goes on to explain the factors such as latitude, proximity to oceans, and elevation, that affect climate. Climates relationship to the type of vegetation found in a biome is then explained before introducing students to the major terrestrial biomes including tropical rainforests, temperate rainforests, deciduous forests, savannas, grasslands, chaparrals, taiga, tundra and deserts. Minecraft Biome Test
It might be hard to tell, but there's about 10 different biomes in this video. The most obvious ones are the arctic ones (with and without trees) and the desert ones. I will spend time on giving the other ones unique looking features like new trees and so. Grass, leaf and sky color varies depending on the temperature and humidity in the area you are. The music is by C418.

Aquatic Biomes Wetlands | Biology | Ecology
Purchase this DVD here www.greatpacificmedia.com Segment from the program: Aquatic Biomes: Oceans, Lakes, Rivers, and Wetlands. DVD Description Our Aquatic Biomes DVD begins by looking at the characteristics common to all aquatic environments. The program then examines the littoral, limnetic and profundal zones of freshwater lakes, the seasonal cycling of O2 and nutrients, and the difference between oligotrophic and eutrophic lakes before observing how life changes along the course of rivers and explaining the ecological importance of wetlands. The photic, aphotic, and benthic ocean zones are then described and marine habitats such as tide pools, kelp forests, coral reefs, and vent communities explored.

I do not own the song or the clips. I had to do a presentation on the Marine Biome and I decied to do a music video even though I have never done one before. This was my first time using Windows Movie Maker (Or any other maker for that matter) and I think I did good for the first time! There is a lot of flashes, I am sorry to those who hate flashes (I liketh them) I DO NOT OWN THE FOOTAGE NOR THE TRACK this is purely fan made and I am making NO MONEY what so EVER on it. Biome Song!
A song about biomes, written for science class... ENJOY! We realize the music and lyrics are not amazing and groundbreaking... We're gonna sing you a song about science today Specifically biomes, I hope you don't mind we play.... The biosphere contains all life on earth But that really gives us quite a wide berth Inside this layer are large geographical regions With their own temperatures, precipitation, and 4 seasons These areas are known as biomes Along with the animals that call them home 6 major biomes the earth does demand Tundra, Taiga, Deciduous Forest and grassland Then there is the rainforest, tropical and temperate And finally there is the desert with a hot and dry climate Tundra, the desert that is cold Gets 20+ centimetres of snow, or so I'm told The temperature ranges from -15 to 5 degrees With this climate, some plants and animals agree Including lichens, mosses, sedges, and woody shrubs, In the summer there are migratory birds and wolf cubs Arctic fox, snowshoe hare, and some lemmings Caribou, reindeer, and ptarmigan fledglings Finally the musk ox and the polar bear With this chilly climate none can compare Just south of the tundra in a large broad belt Lies a climate in which 4-14 degree temperatures would be felt Known as the Taiga, much of its precipitation falls as snow It is dominated by evergreens, lichens, and mosses, don't you know The birds that live here include woodpeckers, chickadees and eagles Grosbeaks and hawks, but no seagulls Rodents ...

What Is a Biome?
In this video, we travel the streets of Boston in an attempt to find out the answer to our questions: What is a Biome? And Why does a river bend? We ask several people these questions. While many seem to be clueless to our questions, some seem to be on the right track A biome is an ecological niche in which various plants and animals live. There are many different biomes, seperated into two different categories: Aquatic and Terrestrial. They are influenced by abiotic factors such as climate, precipitation, drainage patterns and several other factors. Aquatic Biomes are split into two different categories, both freshwater and saltwater. Here in Boston, we are located near freshwater biomes such as the Charles, as well as the saltwater biome of the Atlantic Ocean. Lastly, a river bends due to the downward flow of the river causing it to eat away and erode the inner bank of the river. The sediments then get deposited toward the opposite bank of the river, thus changing the overall shape of the river over time. Produced by: Pat Gent, John MacKinnon, Drew Popper
