Hebron Israeli border police officer kicks a Palestinian child 29 06 2012 - [@01:20]
www.btselem.org A B'Tselem video volunteer documented an Israeli Border Police officer kicking a Palestinian child while another officer held the boy. The incident took place on the 29th of June 2012 near the Tomb of the Patriarchs, in Hebron's H2 area. The child, Abd a-Rahman Burqan, who is nine years old, lives with his family near the parking lot used by Israeli vehicles outside of the Tomb. The video shows a Border Police officer ambushing a child from around the corner. As the child walks past, the officer grabs him by the arm and says: "why are you making trouble?" The officer then drags the child, who is screaming, on the ground for a few seconds. A second Border Police officer then appears and kicks the boy. The officer then lets the child go. He runs away, and the two Border Police officers leave the scene as well. The incident was filmed by a volunteer in B'Tselem's camera distribution project, from inside his home. The volunteer told B'Tselem that he began to film when he noticed the officer hiding behind the wall. B'Tselem will refer the case to the Justice Ministry's Department for the Investigation of Police.

B'Tselem & ACRI on the illegal suppression of protests in Nabi Saleh 27-9-2011.wmv
Following their 12-9-2011 report documenting how Occupation Forces denied residents of Nabi Saleh their right to protest and the excessive force used to suppress the protests that did occur, today, B'Tselem; the Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories detailed their findings in the report at a press conference in Nabi Saleh to members of the media. The Association for Civil Rights in Israel (ACRI) addressed the Kafkaesque rules governing the permitting and policing of protests in the West Bank and prior to the presentations, two Nabi Saleh villagers; Abu Hossam Tamimi and Bashir Tamimi discussed popular resistance to the occupation in Nabi Saleh and throughout the West Bank. www.btselem.org

It Is No Dream (2002 - 53min.)
It Is No Dream
"If you will it, it is no dream," wrote the founder of political Zionism Theodor Herzl in 1902, prophesizing the creation of a utopian Jewish state.
One hundred years later, some of the harshest critics of Israel's occupation policies are Israelis themselves – a small minority of intellectuals, political activists and artists whose voices are rarely heard outside Israel.
Shortly after the outbreak of the second Intifada in 2001, filmmakers Benny Brunner and Joseph Rochlitz travelled through the country and spoke to a number of them:
Meir Shalev – one of Israel's best-known writers
Gideon Levy – columnist for Haaretz newspaper
Jessica Montell – Director of B'Tselem (Israeli Human Rights Center)
Yehudit Katzir – writer
Yizhar Be'er – Director of the Israeli Center for the Protection of Democracy
Adi Ophir – Professor of Philosophy at Tel Aviv University
Noa Levy – leader of the High School students "refusal-to-serve" movement
Yitzhak La'or – writer and poet
The filmmakers also attended a major peace rally in Tel Aviv, and recorded the fiery words of Yishai Rosen-Tzvi, one of the first to sign the Letter of Refusal to serve in the Occupied Territories: "Fighting against terrorism? What a joke! Government and army policies create a hothouse for terrorism (...) It is forbidden to treat men, women and children like dirt. The more people understand it, the sooner there will be an end to this cursed occupation."
The film is enhanced by the powerful work of artist David Reeb, who frequently uses images of the occupation in his drawings and paintings.

Israeli soldiers attack Palestinians
A relative who went to aid the screaming man was also arrested! Although he was bleeding, in agony and in need of urgent medical attention, soldiers decided to arrest Mr. Shtawi after the dog finally released his arm. When Morad Shtawi, a member of the village's popular committee, tried to reason with the commanding officer and convince him to release the wounded man, he was thrown to the ground, handcuffed and pepper sprayed A Palestinian protester is seen on the ground after being pounced upon and bitten by a military dog. The dog locked its jaws on the protester's arm and would not release him, for several minutes. The military dog handlers are seen unsuccessfully attempting to release the dog's hold on the protester. The protester and a relative who attempted to free him were both arrested. Kufer Qaddum, 16.3.2012 Israeli human rights NGO B'Tselem has called several time for the Israeli army to stop using attack dogs on unarmed Palestinians. In February 2012 a 19 year-old Palestinian was attacked by an IDF dog; B'Tselem reported another five such incidents in 2011. Video credit: Odai Qaddomi/B'Tselem Stop it Israel. STOP IT!
