Tao te Ching (pt.1)
thegic.org 1 The tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao The name that can be named is not the eternal Name. The unnamable is the eternally real. Naming is the origin of all particular things. Free from desire, you realize the mystery. Caught in desire, you see only the manifestations. Yet mystery and manifestations arise from the same source. This source is called darkness. Darkness within darkness. The gateway to all understanding. 2 When people see some things as beautiful, other things become ugly. When people see some things as good, other things become bad. Being and non-being create each other. Difficult and easy support each other. Long and short define each other. High and low depend on each other. Before and after follow each other. Therefore the Master acts without doing anything and teaches without saying anything. Things arise and she lets them come; things disappear and she lets them go. She has but doesn't possess, acts but doesn't expect. When her work is done, she forgets it. That is why it lasts forever. 3 If you overesteem great men, people become powerless. If you overvalue possessions, people begin to steal. The Master leads by emptying people's minds and filling their cores, by weakening their ambition and toughening their resolve. He helps people lose everything they know, everything they desire, and creates confusion in those who think that they know. Practice not-doing, and everything will fall into place. 4 The Tao is like a well used but ...

Tao Te Ching
This is an introduction to the Tao te Ching. Throughout the journey of my own introspection no one piece of wisdom has been at my side more than the Tao te Ching, and it is an honor to present the Way in this light. The Tao te Ching speaks to everybody on many different levels of understanding. The Tao is a book that is felt rather than intellectualized, and it can be read in its entirity in one afternoon yet contemplated for a lifetime. Tao Te Ching Complete verses 1 to 81 inclusive
How can I write a description for the Tao when by it's very nature it defies description? I will therefore offer an apology to my subscribers for this not being a sleep hypnosis video. I have listened to this elegant little Chinese poem for years to help myself relax and fall asleep. So, if you don't mind ancient Chinese wisdom, this has a very calming effect. Many of the descriptions of stillness, quiet mind, and empty allowing I use in my sleep hypnosis videos are lifted from these eighty one simple verses. I make no attempt to push any religion, belief system, or philosophy. I simply leave this here for it has brought me much peace and serenity, especially in times of trouble or strife. It is my sincerest wish that this unadorned wisdom can do likewise for some other weary traveller.

The Tao Te Ching
Spiritual philosophy of Taoism, by Lao Tzu "The Old Sage". Legend has it that Lao Tzu lived approximately 2500 years ago. He was the keeper of the archives of the imperial court of China at that time. Saddened and disillusioned at life and humanity, and that people were unable to follow the path of goodness, he left his position in the court. It was in that renunciation that he wrote down his spiritual teachings and thus the Tao Te Ching - "The Way and It's Power" was created. "At the center of your being you have the answer, You know who you are and you know what you want!" Lao Tzu

Tao Te Ching - Verse One
Spiritual philosophy of Taoism, by Lao Tzu "The Old Sage". Legend has it that Lao Tzu lived approximately 2500 years ago. He was the keeper of the archives of the imperial court of China at that time. Saddened and disillusioned at life and humanity, and that people were unable to follow the path of goodness, he left his position in the court. It was in that renunciation that he wrote down his spiritual teachings and thus the Tao Te Ching - "The Way and It's Power" was created. The music is from Greendjohn and the song is called Contact. A way that can be walked is not the Way A name that can be named is not the Name Tao is both named and nameless As Nameless, it is the origin of all things As Name, it is the mother of all things A mind free of thought, merged within itself, beholds the essence of Tao. A mind filled with thought, identified with it's own perceptions, beholds the mere forms of the world Tao and this world would seem different but in truth they are one and the same, the only difference is in what we call them How deep and mysterious is this unity How profound, how great! It is the truth beyond the truth The hidden within the hidden It is the path to all wonder The gate to the essence of everything!

The Tao te Ching (pt. 2)
ekbtv.blogspot.com 11 We join spokes together in a wheel, but it is the center hole that makes the wagon move. We shape clay into a pot, but it is the emptiness inside that holds whatever we want. We hammer wood for a house, but it is the inner space that makes it livable. We work with being, but non-being is what we use. 12 Colors blind the eye. Sounds deafen the ear. Flavors numb the taste. Thoughts weaken the mind. Desires wither the heart. The Master observes the world but trusts his inner vision. He allows things to come and go. His heart is open as the sky. 13 Success is as dangerous as failure. Hope is as hollow as fear. What does it mean that success is a dangerous as failure? Whether you go up the ladder or down it, you position is shaky. When you stand with your two feet on the ground, you will always keep your balance. What does it mean that hope is as hollow as fear? Hope and fear are both phantoms that arise from thinking of the self. When we don't see the self as self, what do we have to fear? See the world as your self. Have faith in the way things are. Love the world as your self; then you can care for all things. 14 Look, and it can't be seen. Listen, and it can't be heard. Reach, and it can't be grasped. Above, it isn't bright. Below, it isn't dark. Seamless, unnamable, it returns to the realm of nothing. Form that includes all forms, image without an image, subtle, beyond all conception. Approach it and there is no beginning; follow it and there is no ...

LAO TZU'S TAO TE CHING (complete) Part 1
Here's nutrition for the mind and spirit as per the Lin Yutung recipe dating back to 1955. This seems to me the most complete-in-itself translation. This is Part 1 -- Chapters 1-14. Please search on-line for "Lin Yutang" and "Tao te Ching" to read along with the complete text of this section. There's not enough room offered in the description section to provide it here. Here's one link to the translation: home.pages.at

Tao Te Ching - Verse 14 - Meditation Video
www.meditationdna.com A beautiful message from the Tao Te Ching ..... Eyes look but cannot see it Ears listen but cannot hear it Hands grasp but cannot touch it Beyond the senses lies the great Unity invisible, inaudible, intangible What rises up appears bright What settles down appears dark Yet there is neither darkness nor light just an unbroken dance of shadows From nothingness to fullness and back again to nothingness This formless form This imageless image cannot be grasped by mind or might Try to face it In what place will you stand? Try to follow it To what place will you go?
