Joel has been quoted as saying he recorded the album to throw a rock at his 'pop-crooner' image. Some reviewers, like Stephen Thomas Erlewine, believe that the album was Joel's response to New Wave and punk rock (Joel does reference both New Wave and punk rock in the lyrics of the song "It's Still Rock & Roll To Me"). Erlewine concludes, "[The album] may not be punk -- then again, it may be his concept of punk -- but ''Glass Houses'' is the closest Joel ever got to a pure rock album."
This album was the third collaboration between Joel and producer Phil Ramone, following ''The Stranger'' and ''52nd Street''.

The group split in early 2004, but they still went on to ''I Dream'' for 19 Entertainment. Unlike the ''S Club 7'' shows which focused upon the band's fictional exploits, ''I Dream'' saw S Club 8 as members of a larger ensemble cast. ''I Dream'' revolved around the summer school Avalon Heights, run by Professor Toone (played by Christopher Lloyd), where the characters tried to improve on their talents in the performing arts. The show prominently featured songs and dances, with normally two songs per episode.
In October 2009, the band released a second studio album, ''Wordshaker'', which charted at number nine in United Kingdom and was given a silver certification by the BBI. The first single, "Forever Is Over", charted at number two in the UK. The Saturdays appeared in advertisements for several products including a brand of deodorant, tampons, mobile phones, an operating system, and hair removal products. But in early 2010, the band released a second and final single from their second debut album, "Ego", which charted at number nine. Although the song became the second lowest single to chart by the band, it became one of their highest selling singles, after getting a certification of silver by the BBI.

It was later confirmed, by the band's official website that Flo Rida had recorded vocals for "Higher".
In late 2008 Sandford was confirmed to appear in late-night teen soap, ''Hollyoaks Later'' where she was credited as herself. Sandford's band, The Saturdays were giving their own reality TV series, ''The Saturdays: 24/7'' where it followed herself and her band to their day-to-day life styles on promoting their new album [at the time] ''Headlines!''. They were accompanied by host of the show Yvette Fielding, where she took to visit three equally terrifying locations, nestled within the Welsh mountains, the clock tower, the manor and the kitchen block. In each of these areas there have been countless reports of strange sightings, the sounds of chatter coming from empty rooms, cooking smells coming from an empty kitchen, and reported ghostly sightings. During the time in the first location, Frankie Sandford said she could smell a smell of someone cooking, although no-one was cooking. She also experienced a ghost throwing marbles at her, when there was no one there. When the she was about to leave the haunted location the spirit of the little girl apparently threw marbles at them.
She appeared in ''The Door.'' The overview of the show was that you had to pass through a series of doors and take on a number of tough challenges. The last star standing claims a cash prize for their chosen charity. Sandford was the first celebrity to be eliminated from the show after she could not put her hand in with loads of spiders to get the key to the door to pass through to the next level. The show was hosted by Amanda Holden and Chris Tarrant. The show was eventually won by Keith Duffy. Sandford was due to take over Cheryl Cole's place on the judging panel of ''The X Factor'' where she will sit alongside Gary Barlow, Dannii Minogue and Louis Walsh. But it was announced that Sandford was taken out of the running because she did not have a high profile.

In the photoshoot to promote Veet's new collection, the band models in a range of micro mini-skirts and body con dresses to show off their fuzz-free legs. Raise Hell is a thrash metal band from Stockholm, Sweden. The group changed names several times in their early history; their first demo, 1997's ''Nailed'', was released under the name In Cold Blood, a name they abandoned for Raise Hell after signing with Nuclear Blast--which they did while still in their teens. After the album's release the group toured Europe with Dismember, Children of Bodom, and others. Their second album, ''Not Dead Yet'', was released in 1999 and produced by Anders Friden (of In Flames), and was followed by a tour with Destruction. After further touring and appearances at the Wacken Open Air Festival, the group returned to the studio in 2002 for ''Wicked Is My Game''. Guitarist Jonas Nilsson did the vocals for the first three albums. In 2002 Jimmy Fjällendahl joined the band as vocalist, so Jonas could focus on playing guitar. The group signed with Black Lodge Records in 2004; ''City of the Damned'' followed in 2006, and another tour of Europe with Necrophobic and Origin Blood followed later that year.
