Just when people started believing that the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) and the Sena were coming together, MNS chief Raj Thackeray has slammed the Sena. He said he is left with no option but to criticise the Shiv Sena as the latter targets his party time and again. He also has taken a dig at the party for joining hands with the NCP in Pune after fighting the elections with the BJP.

Raj, in an interview with a national English news channel, also asserted that he has not yet decided which party to form an alliance with for the 2014 elections, the Sena or BJP.

“Relationships and politics are two different things. My emotional and all types of relationships with my uncle will remain intact, but on the other hand I have formed my own party, which cannot be merged at any cost. I am sure that if whatever I do is in the interest of Maharashtra, it will make Balasaheb happy,” he said.

He has also said that he will lend outside support to any political party that backs his agenda and works in the interest of the state. He also has clarified that his party will withdraw from the government the moment it realises that it is not working for the people.

Raj criticised TV channels, callingthem biased, and saying that they target him whenever he takes up the issue of Maharashtrian pride. “People in Assam, Karnataka and Punjab talk about the rights of the sons of soil, but the channels targets only the MNS when we take up the same issue,” he said.
