PUTIN SAYS Russia has just sent ADVANCED S-300 air defence missile components to syria
Source: Associated Press In a wide-ranging interview with The Associated Press and Russia's state Channel 1 television, Putin said Moscow has provided some components of the S-300 air defense missile system to Syria but has frozen further shipments. He suggested that Russia may sell the potent missile systems elsewhere if Western nations attack Syria without U.N. Security Council backing. Syria (Listeni/ˈsɪriə/ sirr-ee-ə ; Arabic: سوريا / ALA-LC: Sūriyā, or سورية / Sūrīyah; Syriac: ܣܘܪܝܐ; Kurdish: سوریه, Sûrî), officially the Syrian Arab Republic, is a country in Western Asia, bordering Lebanon and the Mediterranean Sea to the West, Turkey to the north, Iraq to the east, Jordan to the south and Israel to the southwest. A country of fertile plains, high mountains and deserts, it is home to diverse ethnic and religious groups, including Kurds, Armenians, Assyrians, Turks, Christians, Druze, Alawite Shias and Arab Sunnis. The latter make up the majority of the population. Bashar Hafez al-Assad (Arabic: بشار حافظ الأسد Baššār Ḥāfiẓ al-ʾAsad, Levantine pronunciation: [baʃˈʃaːr ˈħaːfezˤ elˈʔasad]; born 11 September 1965) is the President of Syria and Regional Secretary of the Syrian-led branch of the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party. He has served as President since 2000, when he succeeded his father, Hafez al-Assad, who led Syria for 30 years prior to his death. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is the 25th and current Prime Minister of Turkey, in office since 2003. He is also the chairman of the ruling Justice and Development Party, which holds a majority of the seats in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. The Al-Nusra Front or Jabhat al-Nusra (Arabic: جبهة النصرة لأهل الشام Jabhat an-Nuṣrah li-Ahl ash-Shām, "The Support Front for the People of Greater Syria") is an Al Qaeda associate operating in Syria.[8] The group announced its creation on 23 January 2012 during the Syrian civil war.[9] It is described as "the most aggressive and successful arm of the rebel force".[10] The group was designated by the United Nations,[11] the United States in December 2012,[12] Australia in June 2013[13] and the United Kingdom in July 2013[14] as a terrorist organisation. In April 2013, the leader of the Islamic State of Iraq released an audio statement announcing that Jabhat al-Nusra is its branch in Syria.[5] The leader of Al Nusra, Abu Mohammad al-Golani, denied the merger but affirmed their allegiance to Al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri.[15] By May 2013, a faction of Jabhat loyal to the Islamic State of Iraq leadership began acting under the name of the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" [16][17][18] Hezbollah (pronounced /ˌhɛzbəˈlɑː/;[4][5] Arabic: حزب الله Ḥizbu 'llāh, literally "Party of Allah" or "Party of God")—also transliterated Hizbullah, Hizballah, etc.[6]—is a Shi'a Islamic militant group and political party based in Lebanon.[7][8][9] Its paramilitary wing is regarded as a resistance movement throughout much of the Arab and Muslim worlds,[7] and is considered more powerful than the Lebanese Army.[10][11] It has taken the side of the government in the Syrian civil war and in May--June 2013 successfully assisted in the recapture of the strategic town of Qusayr.[12] The governments of the U.S.,[13] Netherlands,[14][15][16][17] France,[18] Gulf Cooperation Council,[19] U.K., Australia, Canada, the European Union[20] and Israel classify Hezbollah as a terrorist organization, in whole or in part.[21][22] In English, the name "Syria" was formerly synonymous with the Levant (known in Arabic as al-Sham) while the modern state encompasses the sites of several ancient kingdoms and empires, including the Eblan civilization of the third millennium BC. In the Islamic era, its capital city, Damascus, among the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world,[6] was the seat of the Umayyad Caliphate, and a provincial capital of the Mamluk Sultanate of Egypt. Bible prophecy or biblical prophecy is typically the prediction of future events based on the action, function, or faculty of a prophet.[1] Such passages are widely distributed throughout the Bible, but those most often cited are from Ezekiel, Daniel, Matthew 24, Matthew 25, and Revelation. Believers in biblical prophecy engage in exegesis and hermeneutics of scriptures which they believe contain descriptions of global politics, natural disasters, the future of the nation of Israel, the coming of a Messiah and a Messianic Kingdom, and the ultimate destiny of humankind. Al-Qaeda (/ælˈkaɪdə/ al-ky-də; Arabic: القاعدة al-qāʿidah, Arabic: [ælqɑːʕɪdɐ], translation: "The Base" and alternatively spelled al-Qaida and sometimes al-Qa'ida) is a global militant- published: 04 Sep 2013

Does NATO Remedy Looming Fractionalization of Europe?
While the European Union strives to speak with one voice and to develop its military ability, consensus is often out of reach on security affairs. In this situation, NATO can be a uniting factor. Yet the dialogue between NATO and the EU remains weak except on the staff-to-staff level. Do we agree that NATO remains the best platform for collective security in the foreseeable future? Canadas Minister of Defence Paul Hellyer States Aliens are working with US government
"My name is Paul Hellyer I'm a former minister of national defense of Canada I've served in three governments during a total of 23 and a half years as a member of Parliament. I had sighting reports of UFOs. This was not high on my agenda. There are huge issues here, and the American people have a right to know what's going on. UFOs are as real as the air planes flying overhead. An investigation was launched, and a document was prepared which concluded, That at least four species had been visiting earth for thousands of years. I named five different spices here, I am aware of more now. AS a matter of fact I saw a document just a few days ago that mentioned twenty. I thank you Mr.. Chairmen we're interested in some of the places they come from. I have here the Zeta Reticuli, Pleiades, Orean, Romeda, and the ulterior star systems. I don't think we can refer to them as they. They are different species, and consequently have different agendas. I was glad to have Linda this mourning finally say there are live ETs on earth at this present time, at least two of them working with the United States government. The other species that I learned about not too long ago, called the Tall Whites. Through her good offices I have the chance to talk for about three hours and listen to this absolutely fascinating story of how he was working with them, and have a good working relationship with the Tall Whites at the at the gunnery range at Indian springs, Nevada; and these Tall Whites were living on United States Air Force property, and cooperating with them and sharing technology with them. My interest is in full disclosure, I think 95-98% full disclosure. I know of one or two things that should not be in the public domain, at least not yet. I think that tax paying citizens are quite capable of accepting the new and broader reality that we live in a cosmos teaming with life of various sorts. The fact of some civilization are more advanced than us is humbling. That could be a necessary step for our survival. The United States Congress I regret to say is partly responsible. Finally they need the technology for clean energy, and it exists, and it is being kept secret the the same vested interests who control our destiny. Who are these vested interests, and what are they up to. I have broadened and deepened the definition to Cabal, and the Cabal comprises the members of the three sisters. The counsel on foreign relations, the bilderbergers, the trilateral commission, the international banking cartel, the oil cartel, members of various intelligence organizations, and select members of the military; who together have become a shadow government, of not only the United States, but of much of the Western world. The counsel on foreign relations, is the oldest of the three sisters, and as early as Oct 1940, the counsels economical and financial group drafted a memorandum outlining a comprehensive policy to set forth the political military territorial and economic requirements of the United States and its political potential leadership of the non German world, including the United Kingdom itself, as well as the western hemisphere and the far east. The counsel made no effort to disguise the fact that the purpose of the grand area was to support an expanding US economy to provide it with raw materials, and markets for its products. This was labeled the national interests. It was clear that the national interest of the ruling elite. Whos members comprised the counsel. Mr. David Rockefeller, was a member of all three of the sisters, was quoted saying this at a meeting of the Bilderbergers in Europe "We are grateful to the Washington post, the New York Times, Times Magazine, and other publications whos directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost 40 years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we were subjected to the lights of publicity during those years, but the world is more sophisticated and prepared to march toward a world government. The super national sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto determination practiced in past centuries." The aim of the game is a world government comprised of the members of the Cabal who are elected by no one and accountable to no one. Does this help to understand to why our civil rights are being taken away from us? I say us because Canada too is in the grand plan.- published: 05 Dec 2013

Eight Fake NYSC Members Sent To Prison
Eight fake members of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC have been arrested, charged to court and remanded in prison. The accused are Agatha Azuma, Amarachukwu Okoro, Nicholas Eze, Blessing Samuel, Wisdom Nwoke, Paulyn Worgu, Cordelia Ugwuata and Blessing Duru. Chief Magistrate Ramatu Gulma of the Wuse Zone 2 Magistrates' Court on Thursday also directed the Defence Counsel, Mrs Ijeoma Utchay, to apply formally for the bail of the accused, and adjourned the case till 25 November for hearing. Ramatu Gulma also ordered for a one-week hearing on the case, starting from 25 November, to ease the transportation of the accused as they do not reside within the FCT. The Prosecutor, Mr Moses Idakwo, of the State Security Service (SSS), objected to the bail application and stated that the first accused, Azuma, had, on 21 January, presented herself to Patrick Orem, a mobilisation officer at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Maitama, for mobilisation. Idakwo said Azuma claimed to be a graduate of Manonmamian Sundaranar University, India, while the second accused, Okoro, had super-imposed an Indian visa bearing her name on an old Nigerian international passport, which had a United Kingdom visa belonging to Dada Ajoke. Idakwo said Okoro also had, as part of her credentials, a fake degree certificate and transcript from the said university and a fake National Examination Council (NECO) result. The prosecutor said the officer raised doubts on the credentials and reported to the SSS for investigations and during the investigation it was discovered Azuma paid N70,000, which was part payment of an agreed N150,000 to the third accused, Eze, for the said credentials. Idakwo said that Eze and Ikechukwu Izuchukwu, who is currently at large, conspired to prepare the documents. Investigations revealed that Eze had provided about 30 persons, most of them now at large, with same credentials for NYSC mobilisation, where the suspects paid between N50,000 and N120,000 to the accused for the said papers. Idakwo said the remaining accused were arrested with similar fake documents. He said that Eze, who served in Kaduna State in 2007, also presented fake certificate of the said university. The prosecutor said the offence contravened sections 97, 364, 368, 322, 132,133 and 325 of the Penal Code.- published: 28 Sep 2013

BAE Announces 1,775 Shipyard Job Losses
More Than 1,700 Shipyard Jobs Cut Defence giant BAE Systems has announced that 1,775 jobs are to go across its three shipyards. In addition, the firm will end an 800-year-old tradition of shipbuilding at Portsmouth with 940 jobs to go there by the second half of 2014, reducing the 1,200 workforce to just 260. A further 835 are going to go at Scotstoun and Govan shipyards in Glasgow, Rosyth, and Filton, near Bristol. The cuts are part of a maritime defence review, which BAE systems launched 18 months ago. Portsmouth historic dockyard Portsmouth dockyard has a rich historical heritage of shipbuilding A statement from BAE said: "(The) company proposes to consolidate its shipbuilding operations in Glasgow with investments in facilities to create a world-class capability, positioning it to deliver an affordable Type 26 programme for the Royal Navy. "Under these proposals, shipbuilding operations at Portsmouth will cease in the second half of 2014." Confirming the announcement in a statement to the House of Commons the Defence Secretary, Philip Hammond, said that the losses were "regrettable but inevitable". He said that the shipyards would have been unable to sustain such a large workforce once the £6.2bn project to build the Royal Navy's largest ever aircraft carriers came to an end. Falkands War Troops Return Home To United Kingdom Falklands troops return home to Portsmouth The decision has taken on significant political prominence with the Scottish referendum looming in 2014 and warnings any closure of one of the Scottish yards rather than Portsmouth would have handed First Minister Alex Salmond "a victory on a plate". It has led to claims that Portsmouth jobs have been sacrificed to save the BAE shipyards at Govan and Scotstoun. Mike Hancock, independent MP for Portsmouth South, said: "I think personally it is a real tragedy for them as individuals and for us as a community in Portsmouth. "To lose close to 1,000 jobs in this way is a bitter blow. There has to be some element of cynicism being brought into play here to suggest this is simply being done to suit the financial situation at BAE and the Scottish referendum must have played some part, albeit maybe a small part. A worker watches as the forward section of the aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth is moved onto a barge at HM Naval Base in Portsmouth The front section of the aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth at Portsmouth "I think people would be foolish not to think that that was something in the background." Ending shipbuilding at Portsmouth would mean the UK would lose the ability to build its own warships if Scotland is granted independence in 2014. Gerald Vernon-Jackson, leader of Portsmouth Council, said: "I condemn the decision to shut down the last remaining shipyard in England with the capability to build advanced surface warships. "This decision is bad for Portsmouth, with the loss of many highly skilled jobs, but it's also bad for the defence of the UK and for the Royal Navy. Type 26 Global Combat Ship Type 26 warships will be built in Glasgow "The remaining yards with the capability to build advanced warships are in Scotland, and the referendum on Scottish independence is less than one year away. Ministers have put the defence of the UK and the future of the navy at real risk." Asked about the decision, the Prime Minister's official spokesman said: "This is a Government that always takes decisions based on the national interest. Philip Hammond Mr Hammond has announced BAE will build three Offshore Patrol Vehicles "This decision was taken with a view of how we have the best-equipped, best-maintained Royal Navy. That is the basis on which it was taken." Mr Hammond also announced that the Ministry of Defence would be giving BAE the contract to build three Offshore Patrol Vehicles to bridge the gap between the aircraft carrier project ending and the beginning of work on the new Type 26 warship in 2016. This, he said, was to avoid having shipyards being paid to lay idle, with workers losing valuable skills. He said that Portsmouth dockyard would continue to do repair and maintenance work. Unite national officer for shipbuilding Ian Waddell said: "This is a very worrying time for the workforces and their families as the work on the two carriers comes to a conclusion. "Unite will be working very hard to retain the maximum number of jobs at both Portsmouth and in Scotland. "It is a huge blow to Britain's manufacturing and industrial base, with many highly skilled workers faced with losing their jobs."- published: 06 Nov 2013
