JR Smith injured in CBA debut_MW1022-07
Denver Nuggets' free agent JR Smith got injured in his debut in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league here on Sunday night. Further medical examination was needed, Zhejiang Chouzhou head coach Ding Wei said. JR Smith, now playing for Zhejiang Chouzhou, used to be a shooting guard and three-pointer elite of Denver Nuggets. He turned to the CBA league as a result of the NBA lock-out. In the first round of the CBA new season tonight, defending champions Guangdong Hongyuan led by Washington Wizards' free agent Yi Jianlian of China crushed Zhejiang Chouzhou 111-78. Smith faltered after a quick attack in the fourth quarter and could hardly stand on his feet afterwards. He received simple treatment beside the court. "Smith's injury hurts very much. He needs to go to the hospital for further examination," Ding Wei said in the post-match press conference. About 40 minutes after the game, Smith left the stadium in tears, being helped by others. Smith got 20 points, five rebounds and four assists in his CBA debut.

The site is similar to eBay, and sellers have to buy annual membership to sell their goods. But according to protestors, the latest annual fee has jumped by 10 times. Hundreds of sellers from China's largest online shopping website, Taobao, protest outside the firm's Hangzhou offices on Wednesday. They're calling for the abolition of the website's feedback system and a large hike in annual fees. Many protesters wear facemasks to conceal their identity, while others put stickers that said "endurance" on their clothes. One man says he can't afford the website's new annual membership fee for merchants. [no titlebar, unidentified protestor]: "They are too tyrannical. They say whatever they like and never care about how we feel. They increase the fee whenever they like. Last year the fee was $2500 US dollars before they raised the price, and we could still support them. But now they suddenly raised it by ten times to $25000 US dollars. Even if we sell blood, we won't be able to afford it." Taobao said in an online post the demand to abolish the feedback system will lead to the "destruction" of China's e-commerce industry. They say the feedback system allows buyers to provide feedback on products and services purchased online.

Silent Tears; A Journey of Hope In a Chinese Orphanage is a tribute to the Chinese children I knew and loved for over four years. My heart and soul have been changed forever because of my time with them. If you have ever wondered what day-to-day life is like in a Chinese orphanage, this will tell it. If you have ever wondered what it is like to love a child so deeply, even though they aren't yours, this will tell it. If you have ever wondered what it would be like to move to a third-world country, this will tell it. This is my story; written as I felt it, saw it and experienced it. It is written from my heart. China's "Morning Post" reported that a teacher in Zhejiang' kindergarten asked children to talk about their "biggest wish." Xiaoling, a 6-year-old boy stunned the teacher. Xiaoling said his biggest wish is, "to have a gun and kill my mum by one shot." Mrs. Zhu, Xiaoling's mum said, she would often smack Xiaoling, beause he is too naughty. Security Policy Reveals Intensified Monitoring of Chinese Dissidents
Dissidents in China are facing increased surveillance by authorities, according to a document circulated by netizens online. Chunxiao Township in eastern Zhejiang Province published a security policy on its website, ordering officials to closely monitor blacklisted dissidents and maintain so called "social stability" for the Shanghai Expo. This stability protection policy issued by Chunxiao Township in China's eastern Zhejiang Province asks local officials to comply with a "security moat" set up for the Shanghai Expo. Authorities there are trying to minimize public incidents that may cause embarrassment for the Chinese regime. To achieve this, Chunxiao authorities have singled out a list of individuals and classified them into three threat levels. Those classified as level A—or critical targets—will be under 24 hour surveillance by security officials. Level B individuals will be monitored by informants in their home town. Those under level C will be asked to sign guarantees that they will not cause trouble, have to register with authorities if they leave town and will be monitored. According to Radio Free Asia, a Chunxiao township official denied the existence of such a plan on the phone. He then hung up on the reporter. Thirty minutes after the call, the document disappeared from the township's website. Its contents have since been circulated online by netizens. A Zhejiang-based blogger told Radio Free Asia that when he swiped his national identity card at a railway ...

Allen Iverson Highlight vs Stephon Marbury Beijing Shougang *US Legend China Tour Wuxi Game
Former NBA stars Allen Iverson and Dennis Rodman were in Cixi, Zhejiang earlier this week to scrimmage against the Beijing Ducks, which still has (the newly minted) Stephon Marbury, as part of an eight-game, multi-team tour. One Beijing player said it was a dream to play against AI. Ducks coach Min Lulei, however, had no use for such sentiment. He chided his team in the post-game press conference for not taking the opening game seriously enough, which strikes me as just silly — the Ducks are a month removed from winning the CBA championship, and they haven't practiced together since. The American team won Game 1 121-104 on Saturday (Iverson scored 11 points), and won Game 2 128-125 on Monday (Iverson did a little better, with 13 points to Marbury's 22). AI will have to do a little better than that if he wants to raise his stock among Chinese teams. As you've no doubt heard by now, he says he's interested in the CBA, replying "why not?" to the question of playing here. Putting up a combined 24 points against star-crossed opponents should make CBA team officials ask: Why?

Follow us on TWITTER: twitter.com Like us on FACEBOOK: www.facebook.com In March 2010, Google withdrew from China arousing great speculation in the world. Two years later, the Epoch Times newspaper exclusively reported that the Google incident was created by Zhou Yongkang and Bo Xilai in conspiracy to take Hu Jintao and Wen Jiabao down, and seizing the power. This report said their purpose was to control free expression on internet, spread rumors about Hu-Wen and Xi Jinping, meanwhile grasp huge economic interests. The report said that in 2009, Bo secretly met with Robin Li, Chairman of search engine Baidu. They agreed that Bo would help Baidu to compete with its rival and get rid of Google. However, Baidu had to do what Bo said, unblocking scandals about Xi Jinping and Hu-Wen from overseas media who were pro-Jiang Zemin's faction. After a few months preparation, they framed Google on "Jurisprudence". Zhou Yongkang met with head of Google in China through an arrangement of National Security, ceased some Google's overseas searching function. In mid December 2009, under Zhou direct orders, Google's Gmail was attacked from within China, and their Intellectual property was stolen, resulting in Google abandoning China. Long-awaited Wenzhou Bullet Train Crash Report Leaves Netizens Outraged
For more news and videos visit ☛ english.ntdtv.com Follow us on Twitter ☛ http Add us on Facebook ☛ on.fb.me It's been more than five months since a high-speed train crash near Wenzhou left dozens dead and hundreds injured. On Wednesday, the Chinese regime finally publicly released a report on the cause of the crash. It blamed the crash on a combination of equipment failure and mismanagement. Chinese internet users flocked to microblogs like Sina Weibo with reactions to the report. On Wednesday, the Chinese State Council issued a report on the fatal bullet train crash that happened on July 23rd in Zhejiang Province, near Wenzhou. The bullet train lost power after being struck by lightning and came to a halt over a viaduct. Shortly after, it was rear-ended by another train, derailing seven carriages. At least 40 people died in the crash. The long-awaited report criticizes the Railways Ministry for its sloppy management and poor handling of the rescue efforts. A total of 54 officials were blamed, including the former railway minister, Liu Zhijun, who was dismissed over corruption charges earlier this year. The report sparked a nationwide uproar among Chinese netizens. One Sina Weibo post says, "So many people died in the accident, five months of 'difficult birth' to this 36-thousand word report only gives us dismissal, demotion, and punishment. In China, more and more second-generations of wealthy and privileged take advantage of normal people and treat other's lives like ants. Their behaviors spark public anger in China. Sep. 15, an "Audi Man" refused to pay the parking fee and crushed a female toll collector in Shanghai. Just few days later, similar things happened in Wenzhou, China. URINE Soaked EGGS Insures Healthy Life Treats in China
It's the end of a school day in the eastern Chinese city of Dongyang, and eager parents collect their children after a hectic day of primary school. But that's just the start of busy times for dozens of egg vendors across the city, deep in coastal Zhejiang province, who ready themselves to cook up a unique springtime snack favoured by local residents. Basins and buckets of boys' urine are collected from primary school toilets. It is the key ingredient in "virgin boy eggs", a local tradition of soaking and cooking eggs in the urine of young boys, preferably below the age of 10. There is no good explanation for why it has to be boys' urine, just that it has been so for centuries. The scent of these eggs being cooked in pots of urine is unmistakable as people pass the many street vendors in Dongyang who sell it, claiming it has remarkable health properties. "If you eat this, you will not get heat stroke. These eggs cooked in urine are fragrant," said Ge Yaohua, 51, who owns one of the more popular "virgin boy eggs" stalls "They are good for your health as is health insurance. Our family has them for every meal. In Dongyang, every family likes eating them." It takes nearly an entire day to make these unique eggs, starting off by soaking and then boiling raw eggs in a pot of urine. After that, the shells of the hard-boiled eggs are cracked and they continue to simmer in urine for hours. Vendors have to keep pouring urine into the pot and controlling the fire to keep the eggs ...

Hangzhou Greentown 2 Man Utd 8 Hightlights
Hangzhou 2 Man Utd 8 United saved their best performance until the last leg of the Asia Tour, winning a fabulously entertaining game 8-2 against Hangzhou Greentown. Ryan Giggs grabbed a second-half hat-trick and was joined on the scoresheet by Michael Owen (2), Nani, Zoran Tosic and arguably the man of the match, the masterfully creative Dimitar Berbatov. In truth, it probably wasnt the most useful pre-season test but Sir Alex Ferguson will still take plenty of positives into the more arduous Audi Cup competition. Apart from the obvious glut of goals, he might reflect warmly on the creative play of Berbatov and Nani who tore the Chinese opposition apart before and just after the break. The latter set up two chances in quick succession when United went for the jugular at the midway point in the first half - the first missed when Paul Scholes volleyed wide his teasing ball from the right, the second converted when Owen, after hovering in line with Greentowns last man, slid into the six-yard box to prod home a low centre. Berbatov had sprayed the ball out to Nani on the flank. The same architect was at it again for Uniteds second goal on the half-hour mark, following an initial surging run from right-back by Fabio. Although the Brazilians first attempt at a cross was poor, so too was Greentowns attempt to clear it; when Nani regained the ball, he dinked it cleverly over the keeper and two defenders to slightly beyond the far post where Berbatov was lurking, ready to volley ...
