Russian SFSR
There was not an official anthem of Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic, so I decided to use "The decembrists" song as its theme. Russian power was born after the Mongol invasions of Kiev, bring the political centre to cities like Novgorod and the new village of Moscow(see the video about Ukraine for more info). Having repelished Mongols and Turks from their territories, Russia became a great empire which later origined the Soviet Union, after October Revolution. The sequence shows: - A woman and warrior - Military heroes: A. Nevsky, Dmitri Pozharskiy and Kuzma Minin, A. Suvorov and M. Kutuzov - Greatest writes: The Afro-Russian writer A. Pushkin, F. Dostoyevsky, L. Tolstoy and M. Gorki - Great musicians: P. Tchaikovsky, A. Aleksandrov, Blanter and Red Army Choir - The Decembrist liberal uprsing and bolshevik Russian Revolution - V. Ulyanov(Lenin) and V. Chapaev, Russian revolutionaries - Russia and legendary monuments - Military heroes of USSR and Russia: I. Stalin, G. Zhukov, V. Koniev, P. Chuikov, V. Zaytsev, R. Shanina, M. Kalashnikov, L. Litvyak and Y. Gagarin - An overview of Soviet military power - Slavic Russian costumization - Coat of arms and flag of Soviet Russia

The last days of the Soviet Empire. August , 1991 (4)
Mikhail Gorbachev flew to Moscow. So did the GKChP delegation. When Vladimir Kryuchkov, Dmitriy Yazov, and Alexander Tizyakov arrived in Moscow in the early hours of August 22 they were arrested at the airport. In the morning of August 22 Gennady Yanayev was arrested in his office. Boris Pugo together with his wife committed suicide on August 23. On the same day Valentin Pavlov and Vasily Starodubtsev were arrested. Oleg Baklanov, Valeriy Boldin, Oleg Shenin were arrested on August 24. Since a number of heads of the regional executive committees supported GKChP, on August 21 Supreme Soviet of the Russian SFSR by its Decision No.1626-1 authorized Russian President Boris Yeltsin to appoint heads of regional administrations, though the Russian constitution effective at that moment did not provide such a right to the President. On August 22 the Supreme Soviet of the Russian SFSR by its Decision No.1627/1-1 declared the historical Russian white-blue-red national flag the official national flag of Russia, instead of the Soviet red flag. In the night of August 23 -- August 24 the monument to Feliks Dzerzhinskiy, the head of Vecheka, in front of the KGB building at Dzerzhinskiy Square (Lubianka) was dismantled. On August 24 thousands of Moscow citizens took part in the funeral of Dmitriy Komar, Vladimir Usov and Ilya Krichevskiy. Mikhail Gorbachev posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union to them. Boris Yeltsin asked their relatives to forgive him for not being ...

ANTHEM OF ADYGEA
ANTHEM OF ADGHADYA Province of RUSSIA The Republic of Adygea is a federal subject of Russia (a republic) enclaved within Krasnodar Krai. The direct transliteration of the republic's name is Respublika Adygeya. Other ways of transliterating the republic's name include Adygeya and Adyghea. The Adyghe people were the ancient dwellers of the North-West Caucasus, sometimes known as Circassians since the 13th century. Cherkess (Adyghe) Autonomous Oblast was established within the Russian SFSR on July 27, 1922, in the territories of Kuban-Black Sea Oblast, primarily settled by the Adyghe people. At that time, Krasnodar was the administrative center. It was renamed Adyghe (Cherkess) Autonomous Oblast on August 24, 1922, soon after its creation. In the first two years of its existence the autonomous oblast was a part of the Russian SFSR, but on October 17, 1924, it was transferred to the jurisdiction of the newly created North Caucasus Krai within the RSFSR

USSR National Anthem
The history of Russia between 1922 and 1991 is essentially the history of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics or Soviet Union. This ideologically-based union, established in December 1922 by the leaders of the Russian Communist Party,[102] was roughly coterminous with Russia before the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk. At that time, the new nation included four constituent republics: the Russian SFSR, the Ukrainian SSR, Belarusian SSR, and the Transcaucasian SFSR.[103] The constitution, adopted in 1924, established a federal system of government based on a succession of soviets set up in villages, factories, and cities in larger regions. This pyramid of soviets in each constituent republic culminated in the All-Union Congress of Soviets. But while it appeared that the congress exercised sovereign power, this body was actually governed by the Communist Party, which in turn was controlled by the Politburo from Moscow, the capital of the Soviet Union, just as it had been under the tsars before Peter the Great.

Andrei Gennadevich Kirilenko (Russian: Андрей Геннадьевич Кириленко; born February 18, 1981 in Izhevsk, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union) is a Russian professional basketball player, playing at the forward position for the Utah Jazz in the National Basketball Association. He is 206 cm tall and weighs 103 kg (6'9", 227 lb). He is also known as AK-47 (Andrei Kirilenko, and his number, #47). Kirilenko became the youngest European player at the time to be drafted in the National Basketball Association, when the Utah Jazz selected him with the 24th pick. He was named to the first team on the NBA All-Rookie team. He has since emerged as one of the top young players in the NBA. In the 2003-04 NBA season, he ranked third in the league in blocked shots per game and fourth in the league in steals per game, becoming just the second player in NBA history to rank in the top five in both categories (David Robinson ranked first in blocked shots per game and fifth in steals per game in the 1991-92 NBA season). Kirilenko is a versatile "big man" who can play either forward spot. He is good in both offense (13.8 points and 6.5 rebounds per game career averages) and defense. On offense, he is proficient in drawing fouls, passing, and possesses a quick first step. He is lauded for his defense, as of 2006 three times selected into the NBA All-Defensive Team or Second Team. Staples of Kirilenko's defensive power are his shot blocking, averaging 3.32 and 3.19 swats per game in the last two seasons ...

Russia National anthem Russian & English lyrics
The National Anthem of the Russian Federation (Russian: Государственный гимн Российской Федерации, "Gosudarstvenny Gimn Rossiyskoy Federatsii") is the national anthem of Russia. The song is an adaptation of the anthem of the Soviet Union that was used from 1944 until 1990, with music originally composed by Alexander Alexandrov. The lyrics were revised for the anthem of the Russian Federation by Sergey Mikhalkov, who also wrote lyrics for versions of the Soviet anthem in 1943 and 1977. In 1990, Russia needed a new anthem to distance itself from the Soviet past. Although "God Save The Tsar!" was used before the overthrow of the Tsar in 1917, President of the Russian SFSR, Boris Yeltsin, decided to select the song "Patrioticheskaya pesnya" by Mikhail Glinka. Composed without words and discovered after Glinka's death, the anthem, without lyrics, was decreed official in 1993. Due to the lack of lyrics, the anthem was not popular. In addition, it did not inspire some Russian athletes during international competitions. A few contests were then sponsored by the government to include lyrics in the anthem, however none were adopted. Because of this, President Vladimir Putin decided that Alexandrov's music was to be restored, and that new lyrics should be written for it. The anthem was created and adopted in late 2000, and became the second anthem used by Russia since the collapse of the Soviet Union. The public perception of the anthem is mixed amongst Russians. To some, the anthem ...

National Anthem Of The USSR
The National Anthem of the Soviet Union or the State Anthem of the USSR (or Hymn, Russian: Государственный гимн СССР, Gosudarstvenny Gimn SSSR) was introduced during World War II on March 15, 1944, replacing The Internationale as the official national anthem of the Soviet Union as well as the national anthem of the Russian SFSR. The lyrics were written by Sergey Mikhalkov (1913--2009) in collaboration with Gabriel El-Registan (1899--1945) and the music was composed by Alexander Alexandrov (1883--1946). It was believed that Soviet soldiers would respond more to an anthem that was dedicated only to the Soviet Union rather than to a worldwide movement. The song was originally written as the Anthem of the Bolshevik Party with lyrics in the Alexandrine meter by Vasily Lebedev-Kumach in 1939.

Joeri Aleksejevitsj Gagarin (Russisch:
Joeri Aleksejevitsj Gagarin (Russisch: Юрий Алексеевич Гагарин) (Kloesjino, 9 maart 1934 – Novosyolovo, 27 maart 1968) was kosmonaut (Russische naam voor ruimtevaarder).

Top 20 Soviet Films
The cinema of the Soviet Union, not to be confused with "Cinema of Russia" despite Russian language films being predominant in both genres, includes several film contributions of the constituent republics of the Soviet Union reflecting elements of their pre-Soviet culture, language and history, although sometimes censored by the Central Government. Most notable for their republican cinema were the Russian SFSR, Armenian SSR, Georgian SSR, Ukrainian SSR, and, to a lesser degree, Lithuanian SSR, Byelorussian SSR and Moldavian SSR. At the same time, the nation's film industry, which was fully nationalized throughout most of the country's history, was guided by philosophies and laws propounded by the monopoly Soviet Communist Party which introduced a new view on the cinema, socialist realism, which was different from the one before or after the existence of the Soviet Union. The first to enter the arena, at 6 pm were 150 standard-bearers and 800 athletes in gymnastic outfits. They formed a "Sun" composition in the centre of the field. Columns of youths and girls in national costumes of the 15 republics of the Soviet Union ran towards it from all sides, forming sunrays. Formations of thousands of participants in the Friendship of the Peoples dance suite created a series of brightly-coloured pictures on the field.(Extracted from The Official Report Games of the XXII Olympiad - Volume 2: Organization) During this part, a message from soviet cosmonauts (along with audio) were displayed at the screen of the Lenin Olympic Stadium. After this, some dancers performed routines at the field, to begun the Friendship of the Peoples Segment (which would consist on a cultural representation of each of the 15 Soviet Union Countries: Russian SFSR, Ukrainian SSR, Byelorussian SSR, Uzbek SSR, Kazakh SSR, Georgian SSR, Azerbaijan SSR, Lithuanian SSR, Moldavian SSR, Latvian SSR, Kyrgyz SSR, Tajik SSR, Armenian SSR, Turkmen SSR and Estonian SSR.
