Medical Malpractice Lawyers Yeadon, PA | 866-528-7057 | Pennsylvania Attorneys
We all wanna trust our doctors, and we hope our doctors give us our best care. Sometimes that doesn't happen. I've been handling medical malpractice cases now for over 25 years. They can be challenging cases from a medical standpoint but also from the client's perspective. There are a lot of questions about, you know, "How did I get to this place?"
We work with the top academic physicians in the area to determine whether or not we can prove that the standard of care in any given circumstance was breached. There are risks to every medical procedure, there's risk to every medical treatment. Our burden of proof in a courtroom is to prove that the doctor's care was below the minimum standard of acceptable care.
We know that people hesitate before they come talk to a lawyer. In fact, clients say to me, "You know, I'm not the kind of person who sues." And until you've been injured and until you're looking at what the reality is of your future with an injury or the loss of a loved one. And it's important because lawyers like those at Cohen, Placitella & Roth can begin an investigation right away to find out what a client's rights are, can get to the bottom of how an injury has occurred, whether it should have occurred, and what needs to happen to make sure another injury like this does not occur.

Philadelphia is the largest city in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the second largest city on the East Coast of the United States, and the fifth-most-populous city in the United States.[1] It is located in the Northeastern United States along the Delaware and Schuylkill rivers, and it is the only consolidated city-county in Pennsylvania.
The most important places to visit in Philadelphia are: Franklin Court (was raised in 1812, the ghost of it still stands today. Here is the Christ Church Burial Ground, another famous landmark, where Ben Franklin and four other signers of the Declaration of Independence were laid to rest), Congress Hall (was home of the first Congress. On top of that, George Washington and John Adams were inaugurated here, and the Bill of Rights was ratified right inside), Liberty Bell (is perhaps Philadelphia's most famous attraction. On July 8th, 1776, it was rung to commemorate the hearing of the Declaration of Independence. The Bell weighs 2,000 pounds, which may not be apparent by looking at it) and many more.

Welcome to Philadelphia, considered the birthplace of the United States.
The Declaration of Independence was written and read publicly here in 1776. When you tour Philadelphia, you’ll get a sense of the history that permeates the city through its numerous monuments, symbols, and other landmarks, such as the First Bank of the United States and the warship USS Olympia. Don’t forget to stop by the Liberty Bell and the remains of the Eastern State Penitentiary, which housed notorious criminals like Al Capone.
You don’t need a car to enjoy your Philadelphia sightseeing; take public transportation or rent a bike to explore the city streets at your leisure. Fairmount Park is the perfect place for a stroll, and if you’ve got kids, bring them to the Please Touch Museum, where they can enjoy interactive exhibits and displays that will educate and entertain. If you’ve still got some energy after that, visit the Philadelphia Zoo and make friends with some of the animals. Don’t forget to sample some of the delicious food available in Philadelphia, particularly the fresh goods and cooked meals at the Italian Market.
From culinary delicacies to historical importance, Philadelphia truly has it all.

Philadelphia was once dubbed the, "Athens of the Americas," as it was the undisputed cultural centre of the New World. Today, it remains one of America's most historical cities; quite significant in a country officially only 230 years old. Philadelphia is where the American War of Independence began and ended, with the creation and signing of the Constitution. But Philly is so much more than just a beacon of American liberty.
Philadelphia also has a vibrant arts scene, diverse population, renowned orchestra, plus world-class museums and some fantastic restaurants. It is said Philadelphia is the only place in America where you could feed your brain and your belly at the same time and you only have to taste a Philly Cheesesteak once to understand that statement. Cheesesteaks and pretzels aside, you'll be amazed at the comprehensive choice of food available in the city, from fine dining to ethnic cuisine. This eclectic mix is visible in over 100 multi-ethnic neighbourhoods, encompassing everything from the bustling Italian market to African-American festivals and the traditional Amish community, who sell produce and foodstuffs in Reading Terminal Market, a purveyor of fresh farm food since 1892.
This diversity has also helped produce some legendary musicians. In fact, few would argue that Philly's musical heritage could rival that of New York. Since colonial times, it has been a melting pot of many forms of music from classical to contemporary. Philadelphia was also the home of Dick Clark's famous American Bandstand TV show, which showcased some of America's leading singers and musicians in the 1960's, such as Frankie Avalon and Bobby Rydell, themselves natives of Philly's south side. 'Me and Mrs Jones', 'Love Train' and the Three Degrees' 'When Will I See You Again' were all products of TSOP (The Sound of Philadelphia), which followed Motown into the 1970s as the shining light of soul music.
Sightseers have plenty to feast their eyes on, not least Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776. Meanwhile, the 2012 opening of the Barnes Foundation means that, together with the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the refurbished Rodin Museum, Philadelphia is home to one of the world's finest art collections, including the largest collection of Renoirs outside Paris and more Cézanne's than all the Parisian museums put together.
However, no trip to the city would be complete without a visit to the Rocky statue, at the base of the Museum of Art steps, which featured iconically in the Rocky movies. This landmark attracts more visitors than all of Philly's museums and art galleries. Meanwhile, take time to wander around the Old City District where former foundries, factories and warehouses have been turned into boutiques, art galleries and restaurants, with historic tours also available.
For those looking to explore futher afield, Philadelphia is the gateway into Pennsylvania Dutch Country to the west, the ski resorts of the Pocono Mountains to the north, and the Delaware Peninsula and Atlantic Seaboard beaches to the south east.
It's easy to see why Philly rates so highly when compared with New York just an hour or two to the north. Even the American comedian, writer and actor WC Fields wanted to have on his gravestone "Here lies WC Fields but I'd rather be living in Philadelphia."

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is the home of an American icon of freedom and democracy.
The Liberty Bell first rang out to the citizens of Philadelphia on July 8th 1776 to announce the first reading of the Declaration of Independence.
The bell has since been taken out of Independence Hall's bell tower and now rests in the Liberty Bell Center, in front of its historic home.
Encircling its crown is a phrase derived from the Bible; specifically Leviticus chapter 25, verse 10.
The famous crack in the Liberty Bell is its third, the first two having been repaired.
Though this enormous bell is technically broken, the rights and freedoms it stands for will remain strong and intact forever in our nation.

Philly benefits from Pennsylvania's tax free status on clothes and shoes, and its rich pedigree of renowned retailers is the stuff of legend; John Wanamaker, Adrienne Vittadini, Ralph Rucci, the Jones Apparel Group and current hot designer Tory Burch all have Philadelphia roots. With over 2,000 stores, Philly takes retail very seriously; so much so it has its own website dedicated to tax free shopping where you'll find boutiques, speciality-items, well-known brand stores and department stores listed.
Key areas:
For a touch of luxury, head to The Shops at Bellevue, 200 South Broad Street at Walnut Street. The Shops at Liberty Place, 17th and Chestnut Streets, is a good choice, with gourmet foods and restaurants as well as shops. South Street is perhaps the hippiest street in Philly, particularly the stretch between Front Street and Tenth Street, offering over 300 shops and 60 eateries.
Rittenhouse Row is the city's upmarket shopping and dining district. Stretching from the Avenue of the Arts (Broad Street) to 21st Street, between Spruce and Market streets, Rittenhouse Row offers anything from designer clothes to a variety of art galleries. There's Armani Exchange, Club Monaco, Juicy Couture, Burberry, Barneys to name but a few. Jeweller's Row, on Sansom Street, and Antique Row, on Pine Street, run for several blocks in the Washington Square district. Fabric Row, on Fourth Street, between Bainbridge Street and Catherine Street, offers fabulous textile stores.
Markets:
The Italian Market, South Ninth Street, offers a range of foodstuffs every Tuesday to Saturday between 0900 and 1700, and Sunday between 0900 and 1400. It is the oldest and largest working outdoor market in the United States and has changed little in over 100 years.
Head House Square offers an outdoor craft market during the summer months. Phila Flea Markets operate a number of flea markets throughout the city from May through to October.
Shopping centres:
Center City has hundreds of clothing and jewellery stores. The most iconic is the John Wanamaker building, on 13th Street and Market Street, now occupied by Macy's. It was designed to resemble Paris' Les Halles, and the enormous Grand Court is crowned by a 30,000-pipe organ, on which concerts are given daily. The Gallery at Market East has 170 stores across four levels. Shoppers come from all over the East Coast to the enormous King of Prussia Mall, 24km (15 miles) west of the city, on North Gulph Road. The shopping complex encompasses The Plaza and The Court, with eight major department stores and 365 speciality stores, including designer brands such as Versace, Hermes and Tiffany. Franklin Mills, 26km (16 miles) from Center City, at 1455 Franklin Mills Circle, is a huge factory outlet mall with more than 200 stores selling name brands at 20-70% discounts.
Opening hours:
Major department stores are open Monday to Saturday 1000-1900 and Sunday 1000-1700. Most of the downtown shops close at 1800 or 1900, although those in the large malls may stay open later. Many shops and department stores also stay open until 2000 on Wednesday. The big malls outside the city centre are open Monday to Saturday 1000-2130 and Sunday 1100-1800.
Souvenirs:
The Independence Visitor Center Gift Shop on 6th and Market Streets stock Philly branded souvenirs. Along South Street you'll find all kinds of souvenir shopping from t-shirts to gourmet foods.
Tax information:
There are no tax refund schemes currently available to visitors to Philadelphia.

Philadelphia tours
Bus and trolley tours
The Big Bus Company offers tours on double decker buses and horse-drawn carriages. Philadelphia Trolley Works, part of the Big Bus Company, gives 90-minute city tours, plus a 40-minute excursion through Fairmount Park, with a 24-hour hop-on hop-off pass covering 20 stops.
Culinary tours
A delicious way to savour Philly in eateries only the locals know about. City Food Tours offers a walking downtown tour that takes in the full variety of Philly foods, from delicious hot pretzels to the famous cheesesteaks, including a stop at the Reading Terminal Market, the iconic indoor farmers market. Or tour the Italian Market led by native Philly chef Jacqueline Peccina-Kelly on a three-hour tour, which includes stops at DiBruno Brothers, Talluto'sPasta, Pat's King of Steaks, Slice Pizzeria, and Isgro's famous bakery.
Mural art tours
In 1984, the Mural Arts Program was founded in an effort to redirect the energies of graffiti writers from destructive to constructive. They were given paintbrushes to create representative, commemorative or sometimes just aesthetically appealing murals. Each piece represents and affects the community in which it is created. Since that time, more than 3,500 projects have been completed throughout Philadelphia, earning the City the distinction of being the "City of Murals." A variety of tours help you make sure you can strategically view as many murals as possible. You can sign up for various organised tours such as the Trolley Tour, Walking Tour, Love Letter Train Tour, and the brand new Sculptures and Murals Tour. You can even hire your own personal guide.
Segway tours
Riding a segway around Philly's sights is a fun way to see the city. Beginning opposite the Rocky statue, you'll glide your way for nearly three hours around all the top sights with a personal guide who'll provide information to you via a wireless headset.
Walking tours
See the sights at your own pace and rent a tour CD from Audio Walk & Tour of Historic Philadelphia, which is available at Independence Visitor Center, 6th and Market Streets, and Lights of Liberty, 6th and Chestnut Streets.
Excursions from Philadelphia
Bucks County
The old farmhouses and covered bridges that dot the lush countryside of Bucks County provide the perfect setting for its art colonies, summer theatre, country inns and even wineries. It's an area of outstanding natural beauty alongside the Delaware River just 35km (22 miles) from Center City. Many writers and artists based in New York have also lived here, including Pearl Buck and James Michener (there is a museum in Michener's honour at Doylestown), as well as Oscar Hammerstein and the pop singer Pink. New Hope in particular, with its collection of stone houses, narrow alleys, boutiques and galleries is one of Bucks' most visited towns.
Hershey
When Milton S Hershey bought 485 hectares (1,200 acres) of farm land in 1903 to build a new factory to produce his unique chocolate, little did he realise he was creating a new town too. But just like the other great chocolate pioneer, Cadbury in the UK, a township was built to house his employees, and the town of Hershey was born. Located in central Pennsylvania's Derry Township, approximately 130km (81 miles) from Philadelphia, the town grew into what it is today, a paradise of all things chocolate. Known as Chocolatetown USA, 'the sweetest place on earth', this chocoholic Garden of Eden is a fun excursion. There's Hershey's Chocolate World, Hersheypark (an amusement park featuring 60 attractions and a zoo), two hotels and even a chocolate spa. Do not miss the 3D movie complete with sensory effects and dancing candy bars at Hershey World.

Philadelphia - Pennsylvania Travel Guide http://goo.gl/gB5fmj
Stephen Starr is the undisputed restaurant king of Philly and the primary reason for Philadelphia's emergence as a serious dining capital. Starr has no less than 10 top eateries, and has set the benchmark for others to better .
The Philadelphia's restaurants below have been grouped into three price categories:
Expensive (over $75pp)
Moderate ($25 -$50pp)
Cheap (up to $25pp)
These prices are for a three-course meal for one and the equivalent of a half-bottle of house wine. The sales tax of 7% is not included. Sometimes a gratuity (usually 15%) is added to the bill. If not, a tip of 15-20% for service is customary.
Butcher & Singer
Price: Expensive
A Stephen Starr classic, this Rittenhouse Square steakhouse is a throwback to post prohibition Hollywood or New York, with art deco interiors, a 9m-high (28ft) ceiling, dark leather booths with red velvet couches and waiters with long, starched, white aprons. The generous raw bar and open plan kitchen is beautifully complemented by ice-cold martinis and soft jazz music. The fantastic prime steaks aside, food lovers will faint at the sight of the towering plateaus of fresh seafood.
Address: 15th and Walnut Streets, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States
Lacroix at the Rittenhouse
Price: Expensive
The setting is lovely - a long, narrow dining room with earthy tones, minimalist décor and large windows that overlook Rittenhouse Square. Here chef Jean-Marie Lacroix dazzles diners with gamy selections and fish dishes on a creative bill of fare that allows you to mix and match from any part of the menu. 'Superb' best describes the food, service and the wine list that boasts a cast of 500. The restaurant is on the second floor of the very chic Rittenhouse Hotel.
Address: 210 West Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States
White Dog Café
Price: Moderate
Set in three adjacent Victorian brownstones, this progressive restaurant serves delectable fare that you can feel good about eating. The White Dog supports sustainable agriculture, with high-quality, farm-fresh ingredients, with local and seasonal ingredients used whenever possible. Not surprisingly, the menu changes frequently, with selections tending toward high-end comfort food. A recent menu featured the likes of crispy duck breast with rhubarb mostarda, creole crab cakes with rémoulade sauce, herb-roasted free-range chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and grass-fed beef burger on a homemade bun.
Address: 3420 Sansom Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States
Fork
Price: Moderate
This fashionable establishment incorporates some theatrical design features (huge lampshades, high banquettes and open kitchen) but still manages a welcoming ambience. Located on the city's main street in the historic area, this American bistro-style restaurant serves up the freshest local produce possible. Creative cocktails such as Fork Cosmopolitan and the Fork Lift ( Absolut Currant with pomegranate juice) or one of the fine selections of wine by the glass are a good beginning. The menu changes frequently, but hanger steak, some sort of whole fish and tasty seafood are always in residence. Home-baked desserts are stellar.
Address: 306 Market Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States
Geno's Steaks
Price: Cheap
Although there will always be a line to negotiate, you still need to be prepared and ready to specify which kind of cheese you'd like (Provolone, American or Cheese Whiz). The service is so quick that by the time you have given your order, your money will be taken and your sandwich will be waiting at the window. You have been warned. Unlicensed and open 24 hours.
Address: 1219 South 9th Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States
Rangoon
Price: Cheap
Situated in the Chinese section just off Arch Street, a short walk from the Conference Center, the green facade of Rangoon is easy to spot. As the name suggests, Burmese specialities (spinach salad, chilli shrimp and thousand-layer bread with potato curry dip) predominate here. Owned and run by three Burmese women, this restaurant, with its simple interior, is a favourite with locals in search of exotic Asian food, such as beef mint kebab and curried fish cakes. Rangoon is on the low side of moderate, great value for authentic Burmese fare.
Address: 112 North Ninth Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States

Public transport:
We have William Penn's original grid street design to thank for Philadelphia's easy navigation. It spans just 25 blocks between two rivers -- the Schuylkill and the Delaware. In between, the north/south streets are numbered and the east/west streets have tree names. Each neighbourhood is clearly signposted and colour coded.
Using public transport is however, just as easy - the subway system, street cars and buses provide a clean and reliable service. SEPTA , operates all interconnecting buses, streetcars, subway and commuter trains in the city. Operating hours vary and some bus routes operate all night. You can buy tickets from ticket booths and machines at the stations or on board (exact change required). Token discount packs are also available.
SEPTA's $11 day pass ($28 for families) offers a full day of unlimited travel on all modes of transport, plus a one-way trip on the Airport Rail Line (R1). It is sold at the visitor centre at 16th Street and JFK Boulevard and online. Weekly and monthly passes are also available.
The bright purple Phlash streetcar runs a continuous loop to the major attractions, from the Art Museum to Penn's Landing. Buses stop every 12 minutes at special Phlash lampposts and services operate daily from May through November.
The Freedom Ferry provides a ferry service between Penn's Landing, Walnut Street and Columbus Boulevard in Philadelphia, and the New Jersey State Aquarium, Federal Street and Riverside Drive in Camden, during the summer (May-Sep). Crossings take 12 minutes and leave every hour on Saturdays and Sundays. You can buy tickets at dockside terminals.
Taxis:
Taxis are easily hailed in the street throughout Center City. Taxi companies offering a telephone service include Yellow Cab Co (tel: (215) 333 3333), Liberty Cab Co (tel: (215) 389 8000), Quaker City Cab (tel: (215) 728 8000). Olde City Taxi: (215) 338 0838.
Driving:
With such a compact city centre and good public transport, you really don't need a car. However if you do have one, there are many parking lots and garages located around the city centre. On-street parking is also available in Center City but you should look at the posted signs for restrictions on when parking is allowed.
Car hire:
The minimum age for car hire is generally 25 years but some companies will hire cars to drivers aged between 21 and 24 years for a steep premium. If you want to hire a car, you'll need a full national driving licence. Liability insurance is costly but necessary. It is a good idea to check with your insurance company or your credit card to see if it includes hire car liability.
Bicycle hire:
Trophy Bikes, 3131 Walnut Street, hire out bicycles by the day. Prices include lock, helmet and map.

Philadelphia Hotels
Whatever your budget there's certainly no shortage of hotels in Philadelphia, particularly over the last decade with new openings seemingly a monthly occurrence. Center City is the best place to base yourself well within walking distance of all the major sights and with Philly's variety of neighbourhoods, you can pick a lively location or just a quiet leafy street. Either way, you won't be far from anywhere.
The hotels below have beenn grouped into three price categories:
Luxury (over $250)
Moderate ($150-$250)
Cheap (up to $150)
Breakfast is not included.
Four Seasons
Just out from the centre of Philadelphia, The Four Seasons is located near the wide sweep of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway that leads to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The hotel's interior owes its inspiration to the Federal period, with elegant furnishings, vast colourful carpets and lush floral displays. The Four Seasons is also home to the exquisite candle-lit dining room in the Fountain Restaurant as well as the Swann Lounge , which offers proper tea service. There's a sumptuous air throughout, in true Four Season's style, a health club, pool and spa. The hotel's average room size is 70sq m (753sq ft), making it one of the largest hotel rooms you'll find in Philadelphia.
The Ritz-Carlton
Quite simply, one of the best addresses in town. Located beside Philadelphia's City Hall on the Avenue of the Arts, The Ritz-Carlton occupies a grandiose one-time bank - the old domed banking hall is now the reception, while the vault is a cigar and brandy bar (the marble steps on the way down are worn where once ladies descended to retrieve their gems from strong boxes). The lobby has plenty of sitting space and a handsome bar, while just off it is a breakfast restaurant and its upscale restaurant, The Grill . Guest rooms are huge and the bathrooms luxurious. Facilities include voice-mail, multi-line telephones, computer and fax hook-ups and modem points. Further in-room business facilities are available in the 'Club' rooms on the four upper floors, which also have an opulent lounge with views, and free drinks and snacks in the evening. There is also a range of meeting rooms, with state-of-the-art equipment, and banqueting halls, and a conference planning team on hand.
Hyatt at the Bellevue
Crowning the top seven floors of the landmark 1904 Bellevue Building, the Hyatt ranks among the most elegant hotels in Philadelphia. Opulent retailers (like Tiffany & Co) are set among the marble and mosaic-filled ground floor. From there an elevator whisks you to the glitzy, domed lobby on the 19th floor. The rooms here are decorated in classic old-world style with all the modern luxuries, including goose-down duvets, Wi-Fi access and handsome marble bathrooms (some with TVs). As a guest you can use the enormous Michael Graves-designed health club next door.
Rittenhouse 1715
Set on a leafy street near the elegant Rittenhouse Square, this charming, painstakingly renovated, 1911 carriage house is a paragon of unrivalled elegance. With just 23 guest rooms, the Rittenhouse 1715 has a boutique feel and aims for European-style luxury in its beautiful interior design. The rooms feature cream-coloured Berber carpets, with a mix of antiques and reproduction Chippendale or Louis XIV furniture. Some rooms have fireplaces and all enjoy modern luxuries like Wi-Fi access, plasma-screen TVs, iPod hook-ups and CD players. The marble bathrooms are set with a variety of fine toiletries and a shower with dual showerheads. The breakfast room looks like a Parisian cafe and a European breakfast is served on china. Conveniently located, it is within walking distance of fine restaurants, upscale shopping and historical attractions.
The Kimpton Palomar
The Kimpton Palomar is Philadelphia's first green hotel. It's a luxury boutique property with 230 rooms right in the middle of the Rittenhouse Square area and although developed from an original 1929 art deco building, the imaginative way it combines new with old is quite extraordinary. Everything about the hotel is based around sustainability and eco friendliness has been elevated to an art form. However, this attention to green doesn't detract from its emphasis on quality, from the excellently appointed bedrooms to the in-room spa program and fully equipped gym. Kimpton hotels always offer free morning coffee and tea and in the early evening red and white wines. Its restaurant, Square 1682, is one of Philly's hidden secrets.

National Liberty Museum
Not far from the Liberty Bell itself, the Liberty museum highlights intangible ideas like diversity, bigotry, heroism and liberty, and seeks to make them more concrete through interactive exhibits and art. Many of the exhibits are glass sculptures including Dale Chihuly's 6m (20ft) 'Flame of Liberty'. Harvey Littleton's 'Shattered Lives', a bullet through glass, illustrates both literally and figuratively what one bullet can do. The 'Jelly Bean People' are a reminder that everyone is the same no matter what colour they are.
Opening Times: Tues-Sat 1000-1700, Sun 1200-1800 (Oct-Apr); daily 1000-1800 (May-Sept).
Admission Fees: Yes
Disabled Access: Yes
Unesco: No
Address: 321 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, United States
Philadelphia Museum of Art
Completing the Benjamin Franklin Parkway's cultural corridor, this stately neoclassical building rising majestically at the end of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway offers a spectacular view down the length of the Parkway towards City Hall. The steps leading up to its entrance were immortalised by Rocky, in the 1976 film of the same name. The museum's collection is one of the most important in the country, with more than half a million paintings, sculptures and artefacts spanning 2,000 years of art from Asia, Europe and America. Free gallery tours, which pinpoint the highlights, are given hourly. On Friday evenings the museum hosts 'Art After Five', with live music and cocktails on hand.
Much to the museum's chagrin, thousands of tourists who collect at the base of the steps immortalised in the 1976 film Rocky are there just for one piece of 'art'; a statue of the actor Sly Stallone. Most take picture of themselves next to it and then move on.
Opening Times: Tues-Sun 1000-1700 (Fri until 2045).
Admission Fees: Yes (free Sun)
Disabled Access: Yes
Unesco: No
Address: 26th Street and Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, United States
Rodin Museum
A branch of the nearby Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Rodin Museum features the largest collection of the great sculptor's work outside of Paris. Its gardens and stately exhibition halls are sprinkled with numerous pieces, including casts of The Thinker and The Kiss as well as The Burghers of Calais. Framing the entrance is his Gates of Hell. The museum is due to reopen on 13 July after a multimillion dollar facelift resulting in the Rodin Museum's stunning gardens becoming fully visible and accessible from the Parkway. The rejuvenated museum and gardens will keep the spirit of its original design but will also reunify the Parkway, making it a fluid extension from the Barnes Foundation gardens.
Opening Times: Tues-Sun 1000-1700.
Admission Fees: No
Disabled Access: Yes
Unesco: No
Address: 22nd Street and Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, United States
National Museum of American Jewish History
Rising five stories above Independence Mall, in the heart of historic Philadelphia, the National Museum of American Jewish History is a brand new state-of-the-art facility that fittingly joins with Independence Hall, the National Constitution Center, and the Liberty Bell as icons that have shaped American history. In fact it was Haym Solomon, a Jewish financier who almost single handedly ran the finances for the Revolution. The museum explores over 350 years of Jewish life through evocative objects, telling moments, and state-of-the-art interactive media. There's also a 'Hall of Fame' showcasing well known Jewish Americans such as Albert Einstein, Steven Speilberg, Estee Lauder, Barbara Streisand and Irving Berlin.
Opening Times: Tues- Fri 1000-1700, Sat-Sun 1000- 0730.
Admission Fees: Yes
Disabled Access: Yes
Unesco: No
Address: 101 South Independence Mall East, Philadelphia, United States
The Mütter Museum
The Mütter Museum is a quirky and lesser-known attraction that will appeal to fans of the macabre. Situated inside The College of Physicians of Philadelphia, the museum contains a gruesome collection of medical oddities and anatomical and pathological specimens. There is everything from the skeletons of Siamese twins to the corpse of the Soap Woman and other 18th and 19th century medical exhibits. The museum currently has Einstein's brain on display.
Opening Times: Daily 1000-1700.
Admission Fees: Yes
Disabled Access: Yes
Unesco: No

957 Duncan Ave, Yeadon, PA 19050 | Yeadon Foreclosure Properties
3 Bedroom – 1 Bath 2-Story Twin
Hello and welcome to a PAHouseLink.com video walkthrough. I'm your host, Steve, from the PAHouseLink.com team. For this video we're checking out a foreclosure property in Yeadon, PA 19050.
Today we're at 957 Duncan Ave. This 3 bedroom, 1 bath, 2-story twin resides in the Yeadon neighborhood in Yeadon Boro in Delaware county, and is part of the William Penn school district. The house is 1,706 square feet and the lot is 2,047.
As a heads up; the interior of the house needs work. The carpets will need to be replaced, some of the walls updated, and there is a hole in the kitchen ceiling. That said, a lot of work has been partially completed already. With a little bit of TLC, this property will shine like a diamond.
So let's check this place out...
Starting outside, we do a 360 to get a view of the neighborhood, showing us the surrounding properties. Heading down the alley on the side of the house we see a door leading to the basement. Out back we have the “yard” and 1-car garage. There's also a door here that leads into the kitchen.
Back around front, we're going to head in the front door and into the foyer. The carpet on the first floor is in pretty bad shape and could use replacing. Through there we take a quick look at the living room, which features a fireplace, before heading up to the second story.
Straight ahead we enter bedroom 1, which has a newly finished ceiling. Through a door in bedroom 1, we enter bedroom 2. This room is the most desperate for updates, needing a new ceiling and floor. Out in the hallway we come to the newly finished full bath. Our final stop up here is the master bedroom.
Back downstairs and through the living room, we come to the dining room. Through the dining room we have the kitchen, which looks like it may have suffered some water damage.
Let's head down into the partially finished basement, which features a bar. Left of the bar we see the basement access. To the left of the door we have the utilities, and to the right we have the laundry room. Also down here we have a workspace, though there isn't much space to work.
That's all for this tour of 957 Duncan Ave, Yeadon, PA 19050.
If you have any questions or would like to set up a showing, please give us a call at 267-388-3520 or email us at team@pahouselink.com, and we will get you taken care of!
Thank you for joining me on this video walkthrough, and be sure to check out our other properties right here at PAHouseLink.com!

Also, the plans for a Yeadon Farmer's Market were discussed as well as a large community music and arts festival comming soon, with major names coming to play. This is a compilation video about mass transit around the Greater Philadelphia Area, which includes Amtrak, NJ Transit, PATCO, and SEPTA. Some of these videos were seen before and some were not.
The first scene is at Ashland and Lindenwold in New Jersey, where NJ Transit Atlantic City Line and the PATCO High-Speed Line were taken after the morning rush hour ending on Black Friday (November 27, 2015). The NJ Transit Atlantic City trains are 4617 to Atlantic City (led by Comet V 6032 and pushed by PL42AC 4005), 4616 to Philadelphia (pulled by PL42AC 4019), same train as 4616 operating as 4623 to Atlantic City (led by Comet V 6071 and pushed by PL42AC 4019), and 4620 to Philadelphia (pulled by PL42AC 4027 and 4002). The PATCO High-Speed Line does not have train numbers, but they are led by Budd cars 211 and 224, and Canadian Vickers cars 235, 252, 266, and 282. All of the PATCO trains were taken only at Ashland and the NJ Transit trains were taken at both Ashland and Lindenwold. NJ Transit Train 4620 was a double-header and had a Comet IV cab car in the consist (next to locomotive 4002).
The second scene takes place in Norwood, Pennsylvania, where for some reason, only one Amtrak train was seen and the rest was SEPTA, taken on December 28, 2015 during the morning rush hour on the Wilmington/Newark Line and Northeast Corridor. The SEPTA trains going eastbound to Philadelphia are 2718 (led by Silverliner IV ???), 9212 (led by Comet II 2402 and pushed by AEM-7 2301), and 9214 (led by Silverliner V 850). The SEPTA trains going westbound to Newark, Delaware are 4213 (led by Silverliner V 706) and a deadhead train flying by (led by Silverliner IV 168). The only Amtrak train that was caught in this video was Northeast Regional 180 (pulled by ACS-64 636), and it passed the stopped SEPTA 2718 in Glenolden and gave some horn.
After not being able to get more Amtrak trains in Norwood, I went to Folcroft in the afternoon and got four more Amtrak trains on December 29, 2015, still on the Wilmington/Newark Line and Northeast Corridor. The Northeast Regional trains were 176 to Boston, Massachusetts (pulled by ACS-616, and 171 to Lynchburg, Virginia (pulled by ACS-64 651). The Acela Express trains were 2159 to Washington D.C. (power cars 2038 and 2016) and 2168 to Boston, Massachusetts (power cars 2000 and 2002). Acela Express 2159 to Washington had to be filmed at a different angle due to a stopped SEPTA train to Philadelphia loading passengers.
The fourth scene is in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, where only deadhead and express trains are caught on the Media/Elwyn Line, taken during the morning rush hour on December 30, 2015. The trains westbound to Elwyn were the deadheading trains, one pulled by AEM-7 2307, one led by Silverliner IV ???, one led by Silverliner 422, and one led by Silverliner IV car ???. The express trains going eastbound to Philadelphia were 9334 (led by Silverliner IV 302), 9340 (same train as the first deadhead to Elwyn) returning back to Philadelphia (led by Comet II 2407 and pushed by AEM-7 2307), and 3738 flying by (led by ???).
The final scene is at the Darby Transportation Center in Darby, Pennsylvania, where the Route 11 and Limited Route 13 trolleys were taken right before the morning rush hour ended on the same day as the Media/Elwyn Line. The Route 11 trolleys eastbound to Philadelphia are Kawasaki LRV K-Cars 9001, 9079, 9044, and 9090. The westbound Route 11 trolleys making their final stops at Darby are 9001, 9016(?), and ????. The Limited Route 13 trolleys coming from Yeadon are 9046 and 9080. Kawasaki 9046, operating as the Limited 13, rang its bell and gave a couple horn blasts. The last two Route 11 trolleys meeting concludes this video.
