PICASSO - CHÂTEAU MUSÉE DE VALLAURIS
www.LallouzInternational.com LA GUERRE ET LA PAIX. In the small Côte d'Azur town of Vallauris, Picasso's monumental composition, 'La Guerre et la Paix' (War & Peace) is housed in the Castle of Vallauris' 12th Century Chapel -- an exhibition of his expression for world peace and concern to end violence. Admirers can view his pottery works inside the Castle, which stands adjacent to the market area 'Place Paul Ismard'. Le Marché, also known as 'Place L'homme au Mouton', which translates in English to 'Man with a Sheep', and is named for Picasso's bronze statue which the Artist himself donated to the City of Vallauris in 1949. The statue is located in the center of the town square. A 'spiritual experience' that leaves one with the feeling that Picasso may appear at any time! Watch it here on LIM MEDIA QUICK VIEW.
