North Central Texas College Communications Specialist Darin Allred tells News 12 that the NCTC softball team was on the bus involved in the accident. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the crash happened after 9 p.m. Friday on Interstate 35 at mile marker 47 in Murray County. Troop Captain Ronnie Hampton says it appears that a semi traveling in the north-bound lane of I-35 crossed the center median and hit the bus. The driver of the semi was taken to a local hospital. The driver of the bus refused treatment at the scene. Two passengers on the bus were flown by helicopter to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Several local emergency agencies responded including Sulphur, Murray County, Ardmore, Pauls Valley, Johnston County. No names of the deceased or conditions of the passengers were immediately available. I-35 is expected to be shut down for a few more hours as crews clear the scene. The National Transportation Safety Board is expected to send a crew to aid in the investigation. Check back for updates, we will post them as we gather more information.

Great interaction at the nest today; this footage contains clips from 11 am until 8 pm ... There was a threat near the nest at 1107 am and i included the response from the parent in the nest ... the adult was tracking the threat that appeared to be soaring over and around the nest ... so there was lots of warning calls and trumpets from the parent in the nest to alert the intruder that they best leave their territory. Dad delivered two fish, which was enjoyed by the entire family. The feedings are longer; the growing chicks can now handle more food at one sitting so they seem to be able to go longer periods between meals now ... The chicks seemed to sleep more than normal today perhaps it is a growth spurt that caused them to be lazy bones today. Mom and Dad brought in lots of bedding and branches and on two occasions they covered the chicks with bedding ... the parents seemed very protective of the chicks today ... lots of close interaction with the chicks it was very enjoyable to watch. The birds also did lots of restorations to the nest today focusing on the crib rails and i wondered if they sense a change in the weather ... it was like they were preparing the nest for stormy weather hopefully their spidee sense is wrong and the bad weather misses them tonight and tomorrow.
