Wikipedia Art documentation video (for Transmediale)
Wikipedia Art is a conceptual art work composed on Wikipedia. Since the work manifested itself as a conventional Wikipedia page, art editors were required to follow Wikipedia's enforced standards of quality and verifiability meaning that any changes to the art had to be published on, and cited from, 'credible' external sources such as interviews, blogs, or articles in 'trustworthy' media institutions. Thus the artwork would develop and transform itself simply through their writing and talking about it. Wikipedia Art might start as an intervention, turn into an object, die and be resurrected through a creative pattern / feedback loop of publish-cite-transform that were called 'performative citations'. The ongoing composition and performance of Wikipedia Art is intended to point to the 'invisible authors and authorities' of Wikipedia, and by extension the Internet, as well as the site's extant criticisms: bias, consensus over credentials, reliability, accuracy and vandalism. According to Stern and Kildall, "like knowledge and like art, Wikipedia Art is always already variable." The artists maintain that the project "intervenes in Wikipedia as a venue in the contemporary construction of knowledge and information, and simultaneously intervenes in our understandings of art and the art object".

Mocht je meer informatie willen of contact met me willen opnemen dan kun je me het makkelijkst via twitter bereiken: jelmerevers of via mijn blog: ictgeschiedenis.blogspot.com Credits Video (Youtube) Apple - iPad 2 TV Ad - Now Assassin's Creed 2 - Gameplay Trailer Backchanneling with Todays Meet Boring Economics Teacher (Ferris Bueller's Day Off) Civilization 5 gameplay trailer Diigo V5.0_ Collect, Highlight and Remember! A response song and video to Wikipedia art. A collaborative project initiated by Scott Kildall and Nathaniel Stern, Wikipedia Art was originally intended to be art composed on Wikipedia, and thus art that anyone can edit. Since the work itself manifested as a conventional Wikipedia page, would-be art editors were required to follow Wikipedias enforced standards of quality and verifiability; any changes to the art had to be published on, and cited from, credible external sources: interviews, blogs, or articles in trustworthy media institutions, which would birth and then slowly transform what the work is and does and means simply through their writing and talking about it. Wikipedia Art, we asserted at its creation, may start as an intervention, turn into an object, die and be resurrected, etc, through a creative pattern / feedback loop of publish-cite-transform that we called performative citations. Despite its live mutations through continuous streams of press online, Wikipedia Art was considered controversial by those in the Wikipedia community, and removed from the site 15 hours after its birth. But the debate and discussion there, and later in the art blogosphere and mainstream press, produced a notable work after all. These communities still transform what the work is and does and means simply through their writing and talking about it, despite its absence from Wikipedia. song by kent watson lyrics by tom and kent watson

FIR Video Interview with Stuart Bruce and Phil Gomes on PR and Wikipedia
Neutrality is one of Wikipedia's overarching rules for editing entries, yet PR and communications representatives often are faced with flatly inaccurate information that needs to be updated -- information that is independently verifiable. Yet making these changes often results in reversal of the entry and banning of the representative from future edits. In this video FIR interview, co-hosts Neville Hobson and Shel Holtz speak with UK PR practitioner Stuart Bruce and Edelman Digital Sr. VP Phil Gomes, who both wrote posts on the topic within minutes of each other, leading to the development of a Facebook group where practitioners and Wikipedia admins and editors are discussing how to improve the situation.

Planes and UFOs in Murrysville
Some people have suggested that the lights around Murrysville are planes taking off or landing from local airports. With some simple research this is what has come to light. With flightaware.com, Google earth and some of my own video and pictures, a clear anomaly become apparent. Here are some sites and links you may need if you choose to look into the phenomenon a little more in depth, rather than adamantly stating they are planes. flightaware.com www.google.com www.youtube.com en.wikipedia.org en.wikipedia.org The figures for Toronto International Airport YYZ and Pittsburgh International Airport PIT. How Teleportation Will Work -
Excerpt: In 1993, the idea of teleportation moved out of the realm of science fiction and into the world of theoretical possibility. It was then that physicist Charles Bennett and a team of researchers at IBM confirmed that quantum teleportation was possible, but only if the original object being teleported was destroyed. --- As predicted, the original photon no longer existed once the replica was made.

The oldest person in the world and in history is alive in Ethiopia
Transmited on ETV in July o4, 2010 at 2:30 pm local time, program name እሁድ መዝናኛ (Ehud mezingna) features a person named Zewdie though forgot his last name, who claims he is 128 years old man. His age is calculated based on his oral history. In his interview with ETV's Journalist he said he was seven years old when King Menelik sweared in as king of kings of Ethiopia in 1889 (for reference you can check wikipedia encyclopedia en.wikipedia.org He also said he was one of the 90 bodyguards of King Menelik. If it is proven to be 128 years old, not only he will be the oldest person alive in the world, he could also be the oldest person in history. According to wikipedia, currently the oldest person alive is Eugénie Blanchard, 114 years old, from France while the oldest person in history was Jeanne Calment, dead at 122 years and also from France. en.wikipedia.org When seen on TV I think he can live for another 3-5 years because his appearance is not terrible and he can walk, also when he talks it is clear for any one to understand but unfortunately he was blind since he was 98 years old.

Hollywood Blacklist
Hollywood blacklist en.wikipedia.org The Hollywood blacklist—as the broader entertainment industry blacklist is generally known—was the mid-twentieth-century list of screenwriters, actors, directors, musicians, and other US entertainment professionals who were denied employment in the field because of their political beliefs or associations, real or suspected. Artists were barred from work on the basis of their alleged membership in or sympathy toward the American Communist Party, involvement in liberal or humanitarian political causes that enforcers of the blacklist associated with communism, and/or refusal to assist investigations into Communist Party activities; some were blacklisted merely because their names came up at the wrong place and time. Even during the period of its strictest enforcement, the late 1940s through the late 1950s, the blacklist was rarely made explicit and verifiable, but it caused direct damage to the careers of scores of American artists, often made betrayal of friendship (not to mention principle) the price for a livelihood, and promoted ideological censorship across the entire industry. The first systematic Hollywood blacklist was instituted on November 25, 1947, the day after ten writers and directors were cited for contempt of Congress for refusing to give testimony to the House Committee on Un-American Activities. A group of studio executives, acting under the aegis of the Motion Picture Association of America, announced the firing of the ...
