How to be a badass Presenter with no presenting experience ( and have less fear)
www.femininerhythm.com- Spring is starting to happen here in Austin and the wildflowers look BEAUTIFUL! I hope you are all enjoying the springtime energy where ever you are (unless of course you're in the southern hemisphere). You've probably heard me say once or twice that presenting is the way I make about 90% of my income. And to clarify, that's not because I get paid to speak (yet). My pay-day comes at the end of a presentation when the people in the room want to work with me. When I first started presenting, I had no experience and not much training ( and I wasn't really getting checks handed to me either). I'm happy to say that now I've gotten so good at presenting that not only is my income growing, I was able to teach this and help a client get 80% of the room to sign up and pay her THAT day for her program with some pretty simple tools. So when I saw this question pop through my survey from last week, I had to answer it. It's all about how to be a badass presenter when you have no experience. Watch this week's video for my top 4 tips on presenting when you have no experience and they might surprise you.

The commentary is fascinating as Grandmasters Seirawan and Henley describe their personal experiences at the time to discover the truth as to why the reigning World Chess Champion had resigned in a potentially drawn position. The latent defensive resources described in this video are downright incredible as the two experienced Grandmasters explain a brilliant defense for black based on a last-minute perpetual check against white's abandoned king. This video is all the more instructive because one thing that makes Grandmasters so good is that their level of resistance is very high. A strong GM will never stop trying to create counterplay unless a position is very clearly lost.

Two Dutch TV presenters are set to make history with a macabre broadcast stunt. Each presenter has eaten the flesh of the other - and the disgusting meal will be broadcast on their show. Dennis Storm and Valerio Zeno both underwent surgery to have a small piece of muscle removed. They then fried each other's meat and ate it in front of a studio audience. The bizarre stunt was part of a TV show on BNN called Proefkonijnen - meaning 'Guinea Pigs' - in which they try to answer 'stupid questions' by undergoing unusual challenges. Mr Storm opted to lose a chunk of his backside, while Mr Zeno's meat came from his abdomen. The pair claimed that 'nothing is really that special' about human meat, which they ate without any seasoning - but they have so far refused to say how it tasted. Mr Storm admitted that 'it is weird to look into the eyes of a friend when you are chewing on his belly,' according to ABC News, but said that he did not regret his decision. He said: 'It was just a few centimetres of meat - and now I have a good story about that scar.' They insist that their stunt was entirely legal as both entered into the cannibalistic pact voluntarily. A lawyer advised the programme's producers that while cannibalism is not itself against the law, the presenters or the surgeon who operated on them could run in to legal difficulties. And the presenters also claim that there is no risk of ill health, as long as the human meat is properly cooked.

This is a short film that was directed by the French animation collective H5, François Alaux, Hervé de Crécy + Ludovic Houplain. It was presented at the Cannes Film Festival 2009. It opened the 2010 Sundance Film Festival and won a 2010 academy award under the category of animated short.
In this film there are two pieces of licensed music, in the beginning and in the end. All the other music and sound design are original. The opening track (Dean Martin "Good Morning Life") and closing track (The Ink Spots "I don't want to send the world on fire") songs are licensed pre-existing tracks. A Short Animation Inspired by the Works of İlhan Koman
Plato Art Space is proud to present Candaş Şişman’s video dedicated to famous sculptor İlhan Koman produced for the exhibition İlhan Koman: Hulda Festival, a Journey into Art and Science opening on the 22nd September, 2010.
İlhan Koman’s unique design approach in his form studies also inspires contemporary art works. The video installation Flux by young artist Candaş Şişman can be defined as a digital animation which is inspired from the structural features of some of İlhan Koman’s works like Pi, 3D Moebius, Whirlpool and To Infinity... A red circle, which is colored in reference to the red radiators of Ogre, is traced in a morphological transformation which re-interprets the formal approach of Koman’s works. The continuous movement sometimes connotes the formal characteristics of Pi, 3D Moebius, Whirlpool and To Infinity..., as well as the original formal interpretations of the design principles of the works . In Flux, Koman’s design process in the making of the Pi series has been treated as the emerging of a sphere from a two-dimensional circle by the principle of increasing the surface; and that simple direction is re-interpreted in digital medium. Thanks to this, in the digital animation an entirely different form serial that does not resemble Pi yet remaining its design principle can be followed through the flow of a circle to the sphere. As a conscious attitude of the artist, this work is not designed in a direct visual analogy with Koman’s works. During the animation, none of the moments of the transforming form look like Pi or 3D Moebius, however the subjective reading of Koman’s approach can be observed.
With the integration of the sounds of various materials – which Koman used in his sculptures – Flux turns into an impressive spatial experience. Flux, also exemplifies that Koman’s work can be re-interpreted by the analysis and manipulation of form in the digital medium.

Since graduating from Humber's Fundraising and Volunteer Management program (Toronto, Canada), he's been building an international following online as a representative of the fundraising profession, and as an advocate for digital fundraising innovation. Outside his regular job, Brock works with UNICEF Canada, Children's Wish Foundation, Red Cross, Canadian Olympic Foundation, and the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada. Brock still lives a few blocks away from the Humber Lakeshore campus, in the same apartment as when he was a student. And just like then, he rode his bike to TEDxHumberCollege. In thespirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
