Typhoon Bolaven footage from atop Baekhwasan in South Korea
I drove up to the top of the mountain on my motorcycle to get a little footage of typhoon as it was going on. There isn't a lot of rain but the wind is really strong. I got the windspeed from my weather channel app and it's accuracy should be questioned.

Typhoon Bolaven Okinawa !!!
Okinawa emerged relatively unscathed on Monday from a ferocious typhoon that churned across the Japanese island before heading toward the Korean Peninsula. Typhoon Bolaven had maximum sustained winds near its center of 185 kilometers per hour (115 mph) when it hit Okinawa on Sunday night, according to the Hong Kong Observatory, which monitors storms in the region. That wind strength put Bolaven in the "super typhoon" category. And with a cloud field of 2000 kilometers (1250 miles), it is 20 times larger than Okinawa's length. But the island, which is situated in an area of the western Pacific Ocean where typhoons are frequent, avoided the kind of destruction that some other storms have caused in East Asia this summer. Five people were injured in Okinawa, the local authorities said, and 549 residents took shelter in public buildings to avoid potential damage to their homes. About 17500 households lost electricity as the storm damaged power lines. "It's been a long and rough night." the storm chaser James Reynolds said early Monday morning on Okinawa. Tree branches were flying through the air amid torrential rain, said Reynolds, who was on the northwestern coast of the island during the worst of the typhoon. "The eye of the typhoon actually crashed ashore just after dark," he said. "Like the rest of the population we all just kind of holed up in the strong and sturdy buildings which make up Okinawa." The infrastructure on Okinawa is designed to withstand violent storms ...

On the other side, rains are also beginning to make their way across Jeju Island and will spread into the Korean Peninsula tonight. Typhoon Tembin (Igme) | TS Bolaven Update August 20, 2012
Here is our latest video update on the Western Pacific Basin. We are now watching TWO systems; both of which could become very significant storms in the coming days. First up is Typhoon Tembin (Bagyong Igme) which has rapidly intensified east of Luzon. This system will continue strengthening and could peak at a Category 4 before making landfall in Hualien, Taiwan by Thursday morning. Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Bolaven continues to slowly consolidate northwest of Guam and it, too, could intensify into a strong typhoon in the coming days. This storm will slowly move westward and could threaten Eastern Asia by this weekend. Anywhere from Taiwan all the way to the Japanese Islands (Ryukyu) should continue to monitor the developments of Bolaven. If you are in Taiwan, please prepare NOW and continue to check Central Weather Bureau for the latest official warnings and forecasts for your area. Stay safe! This video is NOT OFFICIAL! Typhoon Tembin (Igme) and Bolaven Update August 23, 2012
Latest Video Update on two powerful systems in the Pacific: Typhoons Tembin and Bolaven. **If you have any storm reports, images or videos, comments and questions, please email us at philippineweather@yahoo.com Typhoon Tembin (Bagyong Igme) has slowed down east of Taiwan. It has also intensified significantly in the past 24 hours and is now back to a Category 3 according to JTWC. It is forecast to make landfall in Taitung County tomorrow morning (Friday) as perhaps a Category 4. Damaging winds will be a threat all across Taitung and Hualien and even into inland areas. Furthermore, the threat of torrential rains exist throughout the country. Tembin could exit Taiwan by late Friday evening. We are still watching the possibility of Fujiwhara Effect with Bolaven this weekend and if it does happen, we could see Tembin take a u-turn and head back towards Taiwan by Sunday or Monday. Please stay safe and always listen to your local officials for the latest forecasts and warnings! Typhoon Bolaven, on the other hand, has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility and will be named Bagyong Julian by PAGASA. This system will enhance the Southwest Monsoon (Hanging Habagat) for the Philippines. Bolaven is forecast to move near or actually make landfall in Okinawa by Sunday morning as a very strong Category 4 typhoon. It could also eventually pose a threat to the Korean Peninsula by early next week. This video is NOT OFFICIAL! Please continue checking out your country's weather ...

Typhoon Tembin and Bolaven Update August 22, 2012
Here is our latest and lengthy Video Update on Typhoon Tembin (Bagyong Igme) and Typhoon Bolaven. Tembin has weakened overnight but seems to have leveled off and actually looks better in the past 6 hours. Outer rain bands from Tembin could start impacting Eastern Taiwan as well as the Miyako Islands in Japan. Conditions will start deteriorating tonight with the worst likely to occur tomorrow from 12pm to 4pm as Tembin is forecast to make landfall in that time. Landfall point is somewhere between Taitung and Hualien County. After making landfall, Tembin will rapidly weaken as it crosses Taiwan. There is a possibility of Fujiwhara Effect with Bolaven by Friday or Saturday and could influence Tembin to make a u-turn. Meanwhile, Typhoon Bolaven continues to intensify over the Western Pacific and could enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility tomorrow. It will be named Bagyong Julian by PAGASA. Bolaven could become a Category 3 typhoon when it moves close to Okinawa by Saturday evening or Sunday morning. It will then head north possibly becoming a threat to Eastern China or the Korean Peninsula. This video is NOT OFFICIAL!
