Syrian Foreign Minister Farouq al-Sharaa tells reporters on Tuesday, July 26, 2005 in Damascus that Syria is keen about Iraq's stability and is ready for dialogue, adding that the convening of an emergency Arab summit is "certainly a good idea." Sharaa's remarks were made during a briefing to journalists in Syria. Iraq complained again Tuesday that Syria is not doing enough to stop religious extremists from crossing its border to carry out attacks. Following a meeting with President Jalal Talabani, Iraq's defense minister Saadoun al-Dulaimi accused the Syrians of disregarding Iraq's complaints about infiltrators and said Baghdad had evidence at least three routes used by militants coming from Syria.
