Looking around you today, you see people in our country disjointed from one another and only looking after themselves - no longer united. The work is inspired by animals and the way that they work together to achieve a goal, something that as human beings, we often fail to do. The piece takes us through a journey where the dancers are trying to find a common language. =============================================================== LOUISE COETZER Swarm Darkroom Contemporary Kristy Brown, Nadine Buys, Louise Coetzer, Odille de Villiers, Seugnet Liebenberg, Tamryn Pelser, Natasha Rhoda, Simone Theunissen Set design: ThingKing Swarm explores the parallels between human and insect life and the constructive and destructive forces that define each: the ways in which groups organise themselves, the rise and fall of empires, industry and development, and the relationship between leaders and followers.
