Lamont Coleman (May 30, 1974 – February 15, 1999), best known by his stage name Big L, was an American hip hop recording artist, born and raised in Harlem, New York City, New York. Coleman embarked on his career in rapping, with the hip hop trio, Three the Hard Way. His first notable appearance came on Lord Finesse's "Yes You May (Remix)". Coleman released his debut album, Lifestylez ov da Poor & Dangerous, in 1995 and significantly contributed to the underground hip hop scene. In 1998, he founded Flamboyant Entertainment, his own indie label, through which he released one of his most popular singles, "Ebonics" (1998).
On February 15, 1999, Coleman was killed by an unknown assailant in a drive-by shooting in his native Harlem. His second studio album, The Big Picture, was put together by Coleman's manager, Rich King, and released posthumously the following year. It was eventually certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Dangerous describes something that encompasses danger. It may also refer to:
Lord Finesse (born Robert Hall, Jr.; February 19, 1970) is a hip-hop artist and producer, from The Bronx, New York, best known as the leader of the D.I.T.C. crew. About.com ranked him number 29 on its list of the Top-50 Hip-Hop Producers.
In 1989, Finesse and his former partner DJ Mike Smooth signed with Wild Pitch Records, home of other popular hip hop artists such as Gang Starr, Main Source, Chill Rob G, Percee P and O.C. In 1990, the duo released their debut album Funky Technician. The album featured production from future star beat-makers DJ Premier, Diamond D and Showbiz. Soon after, Finesse formed the popular New York underground crew D.I.T.C., an acronym for "Diggin In The Crates", together with Showbiz & A.G. and Diamond D. Future members included Fat Joe, O.C., Buckwild, and Big L.
Finesse returned as a solo artist in early 1992 with his second effort, Return of the Funky Man. The album featured guest appearances from Percee P and AG. The album's title track peaked at number 13 on the Hot Rap Singles chart. Return of the Funky Man also included a couple of songs that were produced by Finesse himself, and this would be the start of a career as a much respected hip-hop producer. In 1994 Finesse made a production appearance on The Notorious B.I.G.'s classic debut Ready to Die, on the track "Suicidal Thoughts". In 1995, he produced a big portion of Big L's debut album Lifestylez Ov Da Poor & Dangerous, including the single "M.V.P." and made an appearance on one of the album's highlight songs "Da Graveyard". He returned as an artist in 1996 with the now rare 12" single "Check The Method" and then the acclaimed album The Awakening. Finesse produced the entire album himself, and enlisted a large number of guests, including KRS-One, MC Lyte, Akinyele, Diamond D, Showbiz & A.G., O.C. and Kid Capri. The underground single "Actual Facts" featuring Sadat X, Large Professor and Grand Puba, was included as a hidden track on the album.
Big means large or of great size.
Big or BIG may also refer to:
Electric Tepee is the seventeenth studio album by the English space rock group Hawkwind, released in 1992. It spent one week on the UK albums chart at #53.
After a European tour in March and April 1991, long-standing keyboardist Harvey Bainbridge chose to leave the group. Female singer Bridget Wishart would also end her association with the group in September. The group would go on to operate as a three piece of guitarist Dave Brock, bassist Alan Davey and drummer Richard Chadwick, making heavy use of sequencers, synthesisers and computers, both in the studio and live.
The album was recorded in 1992 at Brock's own Earth Studios, produced with Paul Cobbold. "Mask of the Morning" re-uses the lyrics from "Mirror of Illusion" from the 1970 debut album Hawkwind. "Rites of Netherworld" is a brief keyboard piece based on Igor Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring.
The group undertook a 23 date UK tour in April and May to promote the album, appearing behind a curtain on which the lightshow was projected. An all-nighter at the Brixton Academy on 15 August, when they were joined on-stage by Salt Tank, was amateur video recorded and released as Brixton Academy 15.8.92.

We’ve been part of quite a few big surprises over the years, but few as dramatic as the surprise Tina and Pavan planned for family and friends in attendance of their stunning wedding reception at the Ritz-Carlton New Orleans in the heart of the French Quarter. Although Tina and Pavan chose not to have a professional filmmaker capture their beautiful South Asian wedding ceremony earlier in the year, they set out to discover the very best event filmmakers in the industry to commemorate their extravagant reception in the most stunning way possible just a few months later. The evening was filled with many great highlights, from live music by Bollywood Strings, to incredible floral arrangements by Elegant Affairs, and a sensational light display setup by The Road Show. Tina and Pavan’s big surp...

Our very first mission was actually to help another company (Quixel) with some live-action shots/scenes to simply showcase their new texture-tool for 3d-models in games and movies, but instead we came up with this concept idea and created a full blown short film. There's a reason for this, there's a reason education SUCKS, and it's the same reason it will never, ever, EVER be fixed. I'm talking about the real owners now, the BIG owners! The Wealthy... the REAL owners! The big wealthy business interests that control things and make all the important decisions. Spring is comming slowly to Iceland. On 02.04.2011 I have been flying with my friends Elin and Dimitrij in Herdisarvik. Nice S/SE direction, about 5-8 m/s on the take off. As always in sunny condition we had a nice thermic, especially on the right hand site looking from the parking place. One of the best flying in this seazon. We were forcded to land sooner due to big snowy cloud which was comming fast. Dimmi and Elin landed on time but I was playing too long affecded by doing photos and moovies for this moovie, so during landing approach I was catched by stronger wind and lift, I had to make a top landing in a muddy terain, stupid me :), next time I will land faster to avoid such nasty surprices. About the project: November, the 9th, 1999. The fall of the Berlin Wall set the seal on the end of the Iron Curtain, a fence some 7 thousand chilometres that split Europe in two spheres of influence. A division that lasted from the end of World War II to the end of the Cold War. How did the lives of those who grew up along this ideological and political border change? How did the dreams of the boys who jumped on the Wall to celebrate a regained freedom end up? After twenty years from the historical date, four editorial staff - Peacereporter journalist agency, Matteo Scanni, movie director, Becco Giallo comic Editor and Prospekt Photojournalist agency - have decided to travel along the former Iron Curtain border and to tell what it was. Two teams provided by videocamera, photocamera, audi...

some notes on the video staged in Spain, north of it, in a place that has become too popular for surfing this summer, and that will force me to move don't know where. Now for the green story read this note by Marco Meniero, Andreina Ricco (that I found on the Net) "The green flash is an atmospheric phenomenon which can be seen as a faint green light beam visible on the top of the Sun's disk at dawn or at sunset. Seldom the green can fade into blue. Estimated from the Italian west coast, it can last a very second up to two-three. Its duration is due to the velocity of the sunset during the year; it also changes with the changing of the latitudes. For example: the light beam can last many minutes in the Poles. Sir Kristian Birkeland observed long beams from Swalbard (Norge) and from Nov...

Most people who know Lord Finesse knows him for the great work he has done as a DJ, a lyricist, and dope promoter and the person solely responsible for bringing out the late great rapper BIG L. He explains how he met him and why he decided to work with him.
This is an excerpt from like a 30min interview from 2006. The rest of the interview doesn't contain anything about Big L. If you want to hear the whole thing, I guess you should find it on YouTube by searching Nas - Funkmaster Flex interview or something. http://www.139andlenox.com/

Harlem producer Ron Browz sat down with VladTV to describe how he got started producing music for legends like Big L and Nas. Signed to an independent label at 12 years old, Ron Browz taught himself to make beats and got a little lucky when he ran into Big L on the street in Harlem. A personal and professional relationship developed, and Ron ultimately was the man behind the song "Ebonics." Ron Browz goes on to talk about the Roc-A-Fella deal that was supposed to happen with Big L, and Big L's legacy and death. Watch above.
