Fact finding team of BJP saw a no man's land DHAMRA
State of Odisha stood stunt to be informed of the sad murder of a gold medalist B.Tech lady engineer inside the four walls of suites at DPCL guest house in Dhamra of Bhadrak district. Circumstantial and prima-facie evidences lead clearly to establish the cool blooded murder. General public of the concerned vicinity is spellbound ! The deceased young engineer, Souvagya Priyadarshini took farewell from this earth before her dreams could be shaped. Alas! State Police connived with the concerned company and termed this ghastly act as suicide. Responsible Superintendent of Police, Bhadrak also came to the rescue of the culprits by iterating the incidence as suicide. Police didn't close the file there. Law guides are so well managed by the corporate that, when the local villagers showed their displeasure over the episode, fabricated case was registered against 500 odd local inhabitants. All most all the male people from the villagers had to desert their families and the village due to the fear of arrest. Police cracked down on the area mercilessly during mid night and pulled away some innocent poor men, who could not flee by the time. On May 8, 2012, BJP fact finding team rushed to the spot and was exclaimed not to find a single man there. Scared housewives were trembling with fear. Tear was knowing no bound to roll down their cheeks. Entire squad of BJP was astonished to feel the barbaric nature of an elected government. BJP team heard their plight. State Chief Minister has ...

Lifeline Express at Kalinganagar-4
Extending better healthcare facilities to the people living in rural and inaccessible areas, Tata Steel is hosting Lifeline Express, world's first hospital on-wheels for the sixth time in Orissa at Jajpur Road Railway Station. One of the best examples of this is Tapan Rout from Bhadrak Dist. He came with his teen-age daughter having cleft lips. He is very happy after the operation of his daughter. Because the doctors of Lifeline Express has assured him that now his daughter will be able to talk like others. People living in the farthest corner of Jajpur district, parts of Bhadrak and Kendrapara districts are likely to be benefited from this initiative. Prior to this, Tata Steel has already hosted Lifeline Express in five locations of Orissa namely at Gopalpur, Daitari, Jajpur Road, Meramundali and Joda.

Sambalpur District is the westernmost district in the state of Orissa, India. The historic city of Sambalpur is the district headquarters. The district is located in the Mahanadi River basin. It has a total area of 6702 square kilometers, of which almost 60% of the district is covered in dense forest. The district is bounded by Deogarh District to the east, Bargarh and Jharsuguda districts to the west, Sundergarh District to the north, and Subarnapur and Angul districts in the south. Sambalpur city is the connecting city between Chhattisgarh and Orissa. Whereas it used to be known for its importance as a diamond trading centre, nowadays it is mainly known for its textiles. It's a good place from which to explore the surrounding forests and spot some of the rare species still roaming the area in one of the wild life sanctuaries, such as the well-known Badrama sanctuary.Sambalpur is mentioned in the book of Ptolemy (2nd century) as Sambalaka on the river Manada (the Mahanadi River). This gateway to the exotic charms of the western region of Orissa was the cradle of an ancient civilization and is an important landmark in India's cultural history. Sambalpur was a former princely state of British India. When its ruler died without a direct male heir in 1849, the British seized the state under the doctrine of lapse. It was attached to the British Bengal Presidency, but was transferred to the Central Provinces in 1862. The district was transferred back to Bengal in 1905, but the ...

Howrah Secunderabad Falaknuma Express Storms Over the Baitarani River at 100 kmph
Very few large rivers which are crossed by trains in India offer the prospect of a high speed crossing. Either they are too close to large stations or the bridges are too old and require immediate repair, warranting a permanent speed restriction. The Baitarani River in the Jajpur district of coastal Orissa is a refreshing exception. The Baitarani, along with Brahmani and Mahanadi form a triumvirate in coastal Orissa, offering both agricultural opportunities through proper harnessing or destructive monsoon floods courtesy neglect and improper use. From a railfan's perspective, note the 12703 Howrah Secunderabad Falaknuma Express charging across the 686m Baitarani river in 24 seconds, registering a speed of effectively 102 kmph. The bridge is located between Bhadrak and Jajpur in the state of Orissa.
