The British Asian, actress, singer and television host Sophiya Haque has reportedly passed away. She was well known for her roles in theatre productions such as 'Bombay Dreams' and 'The Far Pavilions', as well 'Gandhi and Coconuts' which came to Curve, Leicester in 2011 and 'Wah Wah Girls' in 2012. She also starred in 'Coronation Street' as 'Poppy' in 2008 and appeared with Denise Van Outen in the BBC's 'Fairy Tales' series.
News of her passing spread fast over social media networks today, with many who knew her expressing their shock over her passing and their condolences over Twitter.

Sophiya Haque
Sophiya Haque (14 June 1971 – 17 January 2013) was an English actress, singer, video jockey and dancer. She is best known for playing the role of Poppy Morales in Coronation Street between 2008 and 2009.
Early life
Haque was born Syeda Sophia Haque in Portsmouth, Hampshire to a Bangladeshi father and British mother. She was the youngest of three daughters.
She was brought up by her mother, Thelma, a divorced schoolteacher. She attended the Priory School, Orpington, and took dancing lessons from the age of two and a half at Mary Forrester's Rainbow School of Dance before moving at the age of 13 to London (where she lived with her father, Amirul Haque, a restaurateur, and his second wife), training full-time at the Arts Educational Schools, London.
Career
Haque started as the lead vocalist in the band Akasa; they signed a deal with Warner Bros. in 1988. Subsequently she worked as a video jockey for MTV Asia for seven years and Channel V.
Haque was employed as a presenter at STAR TV in Hong Kong in 1992. From 1994, she began appearing on TV in India and in 1997 she moved to Mumbai full-time to work on the Channel V India service. Her first Bollywood film was Khoobsurat, and she later made several more including Mangal Pandey: The Rising.

In My Life
"In My Life" is a song by the Beatles released on the 1965 album Rubber Soul, written mainly by John Lennon and credited to Lennon–McCartney. The song originated with Lennon, and while Paul McCartney contributed to the final version, he and Lennon later disagreed over the extent of his contributions (specifically the melody). George Martin contributed the instrumental bridge. It is ranked 23rd on Rolling Stone's "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time" as well as fifth on their list of the Beatles' 100 Greatest Songs. The song placed second on CBC's 50 Tracks. Mojo magazine named it the best song of all time in 2000.
Composition
According to Lennon, the song's origins can be traced to when the English journalist Kenneth Allsop made a remark that Lennon should write songs about his childhood. Afterwards, Lennon wrote a song in the form of a long poem reminiscing on his childhood years. The original version of the lyrics was based on a bus route he used to take in Liverpool, naming various sites seen along the way, including Penny Lane and Strawberry Field. Those original lyrics are on display at The British Library.

(Lyrics below text) :- The news of Sophiya's passing has left not only me but a lot of people who knew or didnt know her quite shocked & saddened by how sudden she left this world. There is 2 songs by Akasa & Sophiya that were done as demos very roughly on a 4 track cassette machine back in 1989 at Clem's apartment. They have never seen the light of day nor been heard since & have been lying in a box of mine all these years but i feel impelled to put them on youtube for anybody that liked Akasa's music of which Sophiya was a major part. I remember her laughing & joking whilst we came up with these ideas , talking about our himalayan hideaway where we could escape the noise & haste of the city. Sophiya was a very talented girl & always gave her maximum to anythng she applied herself too. It is present here in that even with the restriction of 4 tracks to record the song she managed to overdub her voice and get a very decent result given the limitations of the equipment. (Lyrics below text) :- The news of Sophiya's passing has left not only me but a lot of people who knew or didnt know her quite shocked & saddened by how sudden she left this world. There is 2 songs by Akasa & Sophiya that were done as demos very roughly on a 4 track cassette machine back in 1989 at Clem's apartment. They have never seen the light of day nor been heard since & have been lying in a box of mine all these years but i feel impelled to put them on youtube for anybody that liked Akasa's music of which Sophiya was a major part. I remember her laughing & joking whilst we came up with these ideas , talking about our himalayan hideaway where we could escape the noise & haste of the city. Sophiya was a very talented girl & always gave her maximum to anythng she applied herself too. ...

British Asian Actress Sophiya Haque Passes Away
The British Asian, actress, singer and television host Sophiya Haque has reportedly passed away. She was well known for her roles in theatre productions such as 'Bombay Dreams' and 'The Far Pavilions', as well 'Gandhi and Coconuts' which came to Curve, Leicester in 2011 and 'Wah Wah Girls' in 2012. She also starred in 'Coronation Street' as 'Poppy' in 2008 and appeared with Denise Van Outen in the BBC's 'Fairy Tales' series. News of her passing spread fast over social media networks today, with many who knew her expressing their shock over her passing and their condolences over Twitter.

(Lyrics below text) :- The news of Sophiya's passing has left not only me but a lot of people who knew or didnt know her quite shocked & saddened by how sudden she left this world. There is 2 songs by Akasa & Sophiya that were done as demos very roughly on a 4 track cassette machine back in 1989 at Clem's apartment. They have never seen the light of day nor been heard since & have been lying in a box of mine all these years but i feel impelled to put them on youtube for anybody that liked Akasa's music of which Sophiya was a major part. I remember her laughing & joking whilst we came up with these ideas , talking about our himalayan hideaway where we could escape the noise & haste of the city. Sophiya was a very talented girl & always gave her maximum to anythng she applied herself too. ...

This paper explores two possible moral justifications for the legal prohibition on the use of indiscriminate weapons. The prohibition could be justified instrumentally, as an indirect strategy of implementing more fundamental prohibitions on inflicting intentional, unnecessary, and disproportionate harm on civilians. However, the paper argues that it is intrinsically morally wrong to use weapons that, either by their nature or by their use in a particular situation, are more likely to strike civilians or civilian objects than to strike combatants or military objectives. The paper concludes that the use of such weapons should be considered unlawfully indiscriminate.

Synopsis :
Karthik (Nagarjuna) is a rich architect in Ooty. He falls in love with Padhu (Gracy Singh). Padmavathi takes her own sweet time to accept Karthik's love. Padmavathi has a cute cousin sister Bhanu (Shriya). Bhanu encourages their love and gives courage to Padhu. When Padhu reveals about her love, her father Rama Chandraiah (K. Viswanath) resists and asks her to marry the guy he has chosen for her. Padhu flees from home and marries Karthik. Padmavathi is very eager to get back to her parents and get their blessings. Karthik and Padmavathi migrate to New Zealand and they give birth to a kid named Lucky. Padhu dies in an accident. Rama Chandraiah has a very big joint family. A few of the family members opine that inviting Karthik and his kid for a marriage to be happened at their place would give an opportunity to get a closer look at Lucky. When Karthik visits Rama Chandraiah's place he gets mixed responses from different people in the house. Rama Chandraiah doesn't like Karthik and others like him.
Over a period of time, Karthik impresses them all and when he was about to go back to New Zealand, Rama Chandraiah expresses his repentance for whatever happened and says that he is accepting Karthik as his son-in-law. Bhanu has fallen in love with Karthik. She meets Karthik, a widower now. She still has feelings for him. But at the same time, there is Pawan (Prabhu Deva) - a childhood friend of Bhanu - who is deeply in love with her. Karthik returns to New Zealand. Bhanu along with Pawan visits Karthik. During that period Bhanu gets closer to Karthik. When Karthik realizes the intentions of Bhanu, he fixes Pawan as the fiancée for her. Now Bhanu is about to get married to Pawan. Bhanu loves Karthik, but Karthik hesitates to repeat the history by marrying a girl against the wishes of her family. Just as Karthik is about to leave for good with his son, Rama Chandraiah stops him from leaving and pleads him to marry Bhanu. Also, Pawan comes and pleads Karthik to marry Bhanu as he can tell that Bhanu is not happy about the marriage. The film has a happy ending with Karthik and Bhanu marrying.

His father took to gambling and drinking heavily to earn more and in a process lost his job and became addicted. He started living utilising Neela's salary as an air hostess to pay. The pilot on Neela's first flight was handsome Akash(Dharmendra), and the co-pilot the happy-go-lucky Madan(Mahmood). Neela and Akash had met earlier, but the circumstances had not been too favourable for the latter. The poor man got the worst of his exchanges with Neela and her picnicing friends. Neela got a great shock when she found that the very man they had made a fool of, was the captian of her airship-and before she knew what happened, he had become the captian of her heart. The prohibition could be justified instrumentally, as an indirect strategy of implementing more fundamental prohibitions on inflicting intentional, unnecessary, and disproportionate harm on civilians. However, the paper argues that it is intrinsically morally wrong to use weapons that, either by their nature or by their use in a particular situation, are more likely to strike civilians or civilian objects than to strike combatants or military objectives. The paper concludes that the use of such weapons should be considered unlawfully indiscriminate.

She stays in her palace-like home with her two sons Dheeraj and Neeraj, her daughter Rekha (Madhuri Dixit), her brother, nicknamed DDT (Anupam Kher), and his close friend, nicknamed BBC (Satish Kaushik) along with her personal secretary, Shakti. Rekha studies in a medical college in Bombay. Durgeshwari Devi has full control over her home and company and is feared by all. Her ambitions of wedding Rekha in a rich family like hers seem to fail when Rekha falls in love with Raja (Anil Kapoor). Raja is an unemployed, poor but smart and educated man. Durgeshwari seeing him to be a smart fellow puts a condition for agreeing to the marriage which would humiliate him and thus back out. She asks Raja to live with them after the marriage and not other way round where the bride goes to live at groom's home.
Duregeshwari tries many tricks to humiliate, demean and even portray false image of Raja in front of Rekha with help of all her aides. But putting all in vain, Raja outdoes her tricks and eventually also enters in her good books.

Synopsis - For years an aging Rukminibai has been the Madame of a Bordello in a small town in Maharashtra, India. One day she gets the news that she now has a new landlord which is Mr. Gupta, whose daughter, malti, is to marry shortly. Lead by City Councillor, Shantidevi, the people in this town demand that this bordello be moved elsewhere, preferably on the outskirts of the town, and they do succeed, compelling Rukmini to move with her women to their new location, which happens to be near the Dargah of Baba Karak Shah. Ironically, this attracts a lot of people, and the patronage to Rukmini's bordello increases. Then complications set in when Sushil refuses to marry his father's choice, child-like Malti, and wants to marry Zeenat - a prostitute who resides with Rukmini. Synopsis : Rahul Malhotra (Aamir Khan) is an engineer by profession who has come to Mumbai as his sister & brother-in-law have died in an accident, and Rahul has to take care of their three small children and the business of his brother-in-law.These three children Sunny(Kunal Khemu, Sharokh(Vicky) and Munni(Ashrafa) are very mischievous. One day these 3 children run away from the house and go to a fair where they find Vaijayanti(Juhi Chawla). Vaijayanti has run away from her house as her father wishes to marry her to a man whom she doesnt like. So these 3 children take her to their home. Rahul makes her their governess and later Rahul & Vaijayanti fall in love. Also Maya(Navneet Nishan), Rahul's college friend falls in love with Rahul. But as Rahul refuses her she asks the help of her father Mr Bijlani(Dalip Tahil), the villain who forces Rahul to fall into the contract made by Rahul's brother-in-law. But Rahul completes the work as per the contract and everything ends happily.

SYNOPSIS:
Karthik (Nagarjuna Akkineni) is a rich architect in Ooty. He falls in love with Padmavathi / Padhu (Gracy Singh). Padmavathi takes her own sweet time to accept Karthik's love. Padmavathi has a cute cousin sister Bhanu (Shriya). Bhanu encourages their love and gives courage to Padhu. When Padhu reveals about her love, her father Rama Chandraiah (K. Viswanath) resists and asks her to marry the guy he has chosen for her. Padhu flees from home and marries Karthik. Padmavathi is very eager to get back to her parents and get their blessings. Karthik and Padmavathi migrate to New Zealand and they give birth to a kid named Lucky. Padhu dies in an accident. Rama Chandraiah has a very big joint family. A few of the family members opine that inviting Karthik and his kid for a marriage to happen at their place would give an opportunity to get a closer look at Lucky. When Karthik visits Rama Chandraiah's place he gets mixed responses from different people in the house. Rama Chandraiah doesn't like Karthik and others like him. Over a period of time, Karthik impresses them all and when he was about to go back to New Zealand, Rama Chandraiah expresses his repentance for whatever happened and says that he is accepting Karthik as his son-in-law. Bhanu has fallen in love with Karthik. She meets Karthik, a widower now. She still has feelings for him. But at the same time, there is Pawan (Prabhu Deva) - a childhood friend of Bhanu - who is deeply in love with her. Karthik returns to New Zealand. Bhanu along with Pawan visits Karthik. During that period, Bhanu gets closer to Karthik. When Karthik realizes the intentions of Bhanu, he fixes Pawan as the fiancée for her. Now Bhanu is about to get married to Pawan. Bhanu loves Karthik, but Karthik hesitates to repeat the history by marrying a girl against the wishes of her family. Just as Karthik is about to leave for good with his son, Rama Chandraiah stops him from leaving and pleads him to marry Bhanu. Also, Pawan comes and pleads Karthik to marry Bhanu as he can tell that Bhanu is not happy about the marriage. The film has a happy ending with Karthik and Bhanu marrying.

Sansar is an Indian Bollywood domestic drama film directed by T. Rama Rao and starring Anupam Kher, Rekha and Raj Babbar in the lead roles. The other cast members included Aruna Irani, Archana Joglekar, Shekhar Suman, Priyanka, Chandrashekhar, Shafi Inamdar, Ajinkya Deo, Dinesh Hingoo and Seema Deo.
Synopsis - Din Dayal Sharma works as a Head Clerk and lives with his wife, Godavari; 3 sons Vijay, his wife Uma; Shiva and Vidyasagar; and a daughter named Rajni. Their standard of living is middle-class and all three males contribute to this lifestyle with Vijay contributing the most as he is a Chartered Accountant. When the time comes for Rajni's marriage, she refuses to marry Jagmohan's son, and wants to marry a Christian by the name of Peter Fernandes. The marriage takes place, and she re-locates to the Fernandes' house. Shiva ends up getting married to Jagmohan's daughter, Vasanti, and the entire family is overjoyed to learn that Uma is expecting. Uma goes to live with her parents during the rest of her pregnancy, and several months when she returns home she finds that nothing is the same anymore. Vasanti has left Shiva; Rajni has separated from Peter; Vidyasagar has failed in his exams; Vijay and Din Dayal are not speaking with each other and have drawn a line, separating Vijay and the rest of the family. Watch what Uma does to reconcile the family, who are totally unaware of her ulterior motive of re-uniting everyone.

Sansar is an Indian Bollywood domestic drama film directed by T. Rama Rao and starring Anupam Kher, Rekha and Raj Babbar in the lead roles. The other cast members included Aruna Irani, Archana Joglekar, Shekhar Suman, Priyanka, Chandrashekhar, Shafi Inamdar, Ajinkya Deo, Dinesh Hingoo and Seema Deo.
Synopsis - Din Dayal Sharma works as a Head Clerk and lives with his wife, Godavari; 3 sons Vijay, his wife Uma; Shiva and Vidyasagar; and a daughter named Rajni. Their standard of living is middle-class and all three males contribute to this lifestyle with Vijay contributing the most as he is a Chartered Accountant. When the time comes for Rajni's marriage, she refuses to marry Jagmohan's son, and wants to marry a Christian by the name of Peter Fernandes. The marriage takes place, and she re-locates to the Fernandes' house. Shiva ends up getting married to Jagmohan's daughter, Vasanti, and the entire family is overjoyed to learn that Uma is expecting. Uma goes to live with her parents during the rest of her pregnancy, and several months when she returns home she finds that nothing is the same anymore. Vasanti has left Shiva; Rajni has separated from Peter; Vidyasagar has failed in his exams; Vijay and Din Dayal are not speaking with each other and have drawn a line, separating Vijay and the rest of the family. Watch what Uma does to reconcile the family, who are totally unaware of her ulterior motive of re-uniting everyone.
