(18+ Documenting Crimes Against Humanity in Syria) (Not for Shock) This is footage from a different viewpoint documenting the murder of five prisoners by rebels in Aleppo. The five injured men are forced to kneel before the wall of a school playground before being gunned down by insurgents shouting 'God is the Greatest.' The victims belonged to the pro-government Al Berri tribe whom the rebels are subjecting to a campaign of revenge killings and ethnic cleansing since they gained control of regions of Aleppo. The original blurry footage of the atrocity which I posted earlier is available here: www.youtube.com (Note to viewers: I have removed the final seconds of this video for YouTube upload due to it's extremely graphic nature) (YT moderators: My videos are designed to raise awareness of crimes against humanity in Syria. They are never posted for the sake of shock or sensationalism. They are often the only copies available to English speaking audiences. I implore you to bear that in mind should they be flagged for political reasons.) Related article

(05/08/12) Footage depicts captured Iranian men being held by rebels after they were abducted on the airport road in Damascus on 4 August. Iran claims the men are pilgrims while the rebels claim they are members of the Revololutinary Guard. The rebels often abduct civilians and falsely claim that they are 'shabiha' so these prisoners could certainly be pilgrims. Although I don't have enough information to verify their identity with complete certainty it seems very unlikely that IRGC would travel unarmed in the middle of a war zone. The fact that many of these men seem quite advanced in age adds further doubt to the insurgent assertion that they are combattants.

One of the major sticking points in the upcoming referendum on south Sudan's secession from the north is the future of Abeyi, an oil-rich border region which both sides want to control.
