"Classical Medley" By Buddy Greene (HARMONICA)
SINCE PEOPLE KEEP ASKING, HERE ARE THE SONGS THAT HE PLAYED ACCORDING TO COMMENTERS: 1ST: 'Jesu, Joy Of Man's Desiring' by Johann Sebastian Bach. 2ND: Mozart's Piano Sonata in C, K. 545 - Allegro 3RD: Rossini's William Tell overture (known to most as the theme from 'The Lone Ranger') WOW. He's so good on the harmonica!Buddy has talent pouring out from his ears. He also can sing, play the guitar, and he writes music (he wrote the music for 'Mary Did You Know') but he's most known for his Harmonica. Not to mention he is a really funny, cool guy.

Harmonica Lesson For Beginners
C Diatonic Harmonica. Sorry for my "diatonic" slip up. " Diatonic" refers to the musical scale these harmonicas are tuned to. I learned by ear and am not great on theory. This is my attempt at a video for newbies to the diatonic harmonica. For more, and better harmonica lessons, check out jon gindick, adam gussow, jason ricci, and ronnie shellist. I've got more coming too.

Raised in Totnes, Devon, he discovered blues in his teens, beginning harmonica (which remains to this day his main instrument). He studied the harp style of main influence Sonny Terry and played constantly through his twenties after moving to Edinburgh, Scotland. Here he joined blues trio 32-20 and then, with guitarist Steve O' Connor, the acoustic blues duo Hot Tamales. After meeting and marrying his wife, Leia Maahs, he moved to California in 1997. He also started playing guitar around this time in the style of John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Son House and Big Joe Williams. Moving to Tucson in 2000 he started playing constantly in the local bars and clubs, establishing himself as a force on the local music scene, either solo or with guitarist Doug Smith or with Dimitri Manos and Mike Bagesse, aka the Ambassadors. He has recorded ten albums and appeared on twenty others, usually adding harmonica. In 2009 he scored the movie Good Boy. He has won best blues band in Tucson five times, best blues band in Arizona once and (with pianist Arthur Migliazza) best blues duo in Tucson once, representing Tucson in Memphis in the International Blues Challenge both times.

Adam Winrich: Whips and Harmonica
I've been playing harmonica almost as long as I've been cracking whips, so I thought I'd finally start working on combing the two. It's hard to wail on the whips and the harp at the same time, so I'm focusing on using the harp just for chords to add some musicality to the whip cracking. I'm also using a different camera, so I hope this video comes up as better quality than my previous videos. In this video I'm using 3 1/2 ft stock whips from Simon Martin. For multiple cracking I find I can do more with a stock whip than a bullwhip. I prefer a bullwhip when the whips get longer than 7 or 8 ft. For anyone looking for a beginner's whip, check out www.whipsandwhatknots.com.

GREENSLEEVES - HARMONICA
Chris plays this song on his Suzuki chromatic harmonica SIRIUS S-56 / 14 holes - 56 notes, in the key of C, and plays the song according to the original notes. The traditional English song "Greensleeves" was completely composed by Henry VIII, the much married King of England. There is some speculation as to whether the words were inspired by Katherine of Aragon or Ann Boleyn, but although the first mention of the song in recorded history dates only from 1580, some 33 years after Henry's death, there is now no real doubt over its place of origin. As with many folk songs, the melody is far superior to the words. It is known variously as "My Ladye Greensleeves" or "Ladye Greensleeves" but usually as just "Greensleeves." The song has been recorded numerous times over the years including by Jazz artists, but perhaps most memorably (with the lyrics suitably amended) in an advertisement for Dreamland Electric Blankets. We feel honoured to dedicate this song to our YouTube friends : Mrclaude62150 (Jean et Francine) - 28iAD77 (Iskandar) -- Roman45873 (Roman) -- MrCornishone (Tony) -- MrFender1421 (Ger) The video is edited by my beloved wife "Mayka". We hope you will enjoy the video and our music. Lyrics Alas, my love, you do me wrong, To cast me off discourteously. And I have loved you so long, Delighting in your company. Chorus: Greensleeves was all my joy Greensleeves was my delight, Greensleeves was my heart of gold, And who but my lady greensleeves. I have been ready at your ...

The World's Tallest Jazz Harmonica Player - Hendrik Meurkens
Hendrik Meurkens is the tallest Jazz harmonica player in the world. German-born but now based in New York, Meurkens' recordings and performances garner worldwide acclaim because the transcendent beauty of his music has universal appeal. A two-mallet player in the tradition of Milt Jackson and Bobby Hutcherson, Hendrik Meurkens was en-route to being an instantly recognizable vibraphonist when he heard Toots Thielemans. Inspired by the sound of Thielemans' harmonica, he taught himself the difficult-to-master instrument. Hendrik Meurkens' other life-changing musical experience was his introduction to samba and bossa nova. He was so moved by Brazilian music that after perfecting his unique musical voice at Berklee, as a vibraphone major, he moved to Rio in the early 80s to totally immerse himself in music and culture of Brazil. A regular Monday night gig at the popular Rio club, Bar 21, soon demonstrated his acceptance by Brazilian musicians. Meurkens' poignant, emotionally affecting harmonica proved to be a sound that Brazilians strongly embraced, and during his Rio days, he met many musicians who later became collaborators in both Europe and New York. Back in Germany by '83, he became a respected studio musician, recording with European Radio Orchestras and leading his own groups, as well as accompanying visiting legends like Harry 'Sweets' Edison and Buddy Tate. Within ten years, he had established himself as the "new jazz harmonica voice," and moved to New York, thanks to ...

Shanthi, the National Zoo's Musical Elephant, Plays the Harmonica!
When the elephant keepers at the Smithsonian's National Zoo hear the sound of a harmonica, it's not the radio they've left on. Instead, it's the Zoo's 36-year-old Asian elephant, Shanthi, who, unsolicited, has a propensity for coming up with her own ditties using whatever instruments the keepers have provided. These include harmonicas, horns and other noisemakers. The Zoo has captured some of Shanthi's most recent capriccios on this video. The keepers provided the instruments after they noticed that Shanthi, more so than the Zoo's two other elephants, likes to make noise with objects. According to keepers, she will use her trunk to cover anything with a hole in it and blow until it makes a sound—and will often coax the objects to get different types of sounds from it. She taps objects with her trunk and flaps her ears against objects that make noise. Now they give the melodious pachyderm noisemakers as a form of enrichment. Shanthi is the mother of the Zoo's 10-year-old calf, Kandula. Asian elephants are endangered in the wild, where 30000 to 50000 Asian elephants still live in the forests of south and southeast Asia. Visitors to the Zoo can watch an elephant demonstration, which sometimes includes Shanthi's musical skills, at 11 am most days at the Zoo's Elephant Trails.

The most advanced "Diatonic" harmonica ever - presented by Brendan Power
Brendan Power (SUZUKI Harmonicas) introduces the most advanced "diatonic" harmonica ever. He recently introduced his PowerBender tuning that allows to play draw-bendings in the upper register (www.brendanpower.com, also available in the Harmonica Configurator from www.seydel1847.com). The SEYDEL SESSION STEEL harmonica is equipped with stainless steel reeds that made another invention possible, namely to modify the pitch of a note with a magnet attached to a slider - Jim Antaki (aka Turbo-Dog - www.turboharp.com) did a really good job. Another novelty in this harmonica is the half-valving (with PT Gazell's original valve material). This allows to get single reed bendings from all the blow notes on this instrument (www.ptgazell.com). Compared to a standard Richter instrument it is possible to get ALL THE NOTES OF THE CHROMATIC scale without the use of overblows - handling and playabilty are nearly "usual" so it is easy to adopt to the new techniques on this instrument step by step. Some nice additional effects for certain musical styles are also possible with this fantastic and versatile harmonica... Thanks Brendan Power for preparing this great video and sharing your ideas to the harmonica players on this planet. The SEYDEL Team
