Bridport by Night
Bridport by Night
A labour of love, four months in the making. I moved to Bridport just over a year ago and immediately fell in love with the place. What better way to show my affection for such a place than to make a movie about it? Shot on a Nikon D7000 camera, producing 16MP stills for a 25fps video....

Bridport yesterday, today, tomorrow? 1956, 1909, 2011
Here are 5 different views of Bridport over the years. It begins with a look at Bridport in 1956 and then moves through the window onto today where instead of open top buses you see modern compact cars, boys cycling on one wheel, and then moves back to horse-drawn carts, and few people, even on Market Day, and then West Street back in the 1950s before finally coming back to today and being out in the open.

Spirit Of Bridport - The Market.
Spirit Of Bridport - The Market.
Bridport's twice-weekly street market has a long and established history going back to the Royal Charter granted by King Henry III in 1253. It is now run by Bridport Town Council who have built on its success in recent years, ensuring a viable and sustainable market with a strong emphasis on local produce and traders. Along with the monthly Farmer's Market, the Market offers a much-loved retail presence for the very best the South West has to offer and is a major pull for residents and visitors. This video, produced by Philip Grey for the Spirit of Bridport www.spiritofbridport.org shows some of the special people that make Bridport Market such an ongoing success week-in and week-out. Bridport's Worst Driver 1
Naming and shaming some of the worst driving in Bridport. This tool sped past me and squeezed through a very small gap, just to get in front of me for the traffic lights turning left at the Town Hall. If you know the person driving, please let them know about this video and maybe they'll think twice about cutting the next cyclist up. They could be on film.

Bridport House - timelapse of the construction
Bridport House - timelapse of the construction
Bridport House is an 8-storey residential building in London. The main structure was assembled in approximately 10 weeks using prefabricated CLT-boards. The 41 apartment building welcomes its first families in the autumn of 2011. Stora Enso CLT provided the ideal structural solution to meet key considerations of cost, speed of construction and sustainability. Also weight: with a large Victorian sewer running directly under the site, the unique properties of CLT's engineered strength combined with its light weight made it the perfect choice.
