The Vatican Publishing House (Italian: Libreria Editrice Vaticana; Latin: Officina libraria editoria Vaticana) (LEV) is a publisher established by the Holy See in 1926. It is responsible for publishing official documents of the Roman Catholic Church, including Papal bulls and encyclicals.
In 1926, the library was separated from the printing and transformed into autonomous body that was entrusted with the sale of books that were being made to print by the Holy See.
It has its own constitution and its own rules. The statutes of LEV 'Article 2 states: "The Libreria Editrice Vaticana has the fundamental aim of publishing the documents of the Supreme Pontiff and the Holy See."
The company owns the copyright to all the writings of the Pope, but did not start enforcing the copyright until the accession of Pope Benedict XVI.
Publishing is the process of production and dissemination of literature, music, or information — the activity of making information available to the general public. In some cases, authors may be their own publishers, meaning: originators and developers of content also provide media to deliver and display the content for the same.
Traditionally, the term refers to the distribution of printed works such as books (the "book trade") and newspapers. With the advent of digital information systems and the Internet, the scope of publishing has expanded to include electronic resources, such as the electronic versions of books and periodicals, as well as micropublishing, websites, blogs, video game publishers and the like.

The picture he gives us of the bestseller of all times is surprisingly different from what we all were told. Actually, as soon as he released "THE BOOK THAT WILL FOREVER CHANGE OUR IDEAS ABOUT THE BIBLE - THE GODS COMING FROM SPACE", the Vatican suspended all further publications of Mauro Biglino's works: Let's discover why!

The Author
Mauro Biglino is an Italian scholar of history of religions, he published in Italy five books, two of which are focused on the research and re-translation work of the original Hebrew text of the Old Testament of the Bible in a literal way, word by word, from the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia. The Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia is the first printed edition of the Masoretic text, derived from the Leningrad Codex of 1008 AD, which is the original text of reference of the Bible for the Roman Catholic Church, for the Bible of the Christian Protestant Churches - the King James Version - and for the Torah of the Jewish religion. Mr. Biglino's books focused on the original Hebrew text of the Old Testament are entitled "Il Libro che cambierà per sempre le nostre idee sulla Bibbia" and "Il Dio Alieno della Bibbia". Prior to writing these two books, Mauro Biglino had worked for ten years for the main publishing house of the Vatican, Edizioni San Paolo*, as a translator of ancient Hebrew from the original Masoretic text of the Bible. Mr. Biglino translated for the Vatican publisher 19 books of the Bible from the ancient Hebrew text of the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia. 12 books were published by Edizioni San Paolo in the book "I Profeti Minori", 5 books were published in the book "Cinque Meghillot".
In relation to his work on the Bible, Mr. Biglino has been interviewed on the Italian National Television and on several radio networks. He is a keynote speaker at conferences and seminars throughout Italy. *Note In writing that "Edizioni San Paolo" is the main publishing house of the Vatican, we do not mean that "Edizioni San Paolo" is financially owned by the Vatican. We mean that "Edizioni San Paolo" is the main Christian Catholic publishing house in Italy, it is the main publisher of books written by Catholic Cardinals and Bishops, and the main publisher of religious and Theological books for the Catholic community in Italy.

STORYLINE:
In the second book of a planned trilogy on Jesus, Pope Benedict XVI concluded that only a few Jewish leaders and their supporters were responsible for Jesus Christ's death on the Cross, and not the Jews as a people.
Benedict also rejects the idea of Jesus as a political revolutionary and insists that violent revolution must never be carried out in God's name.
The book - "Jesus of Nazareth - Holy Week: From the Entrance into Jerusalem to the Resurrection," was published on Thursday amid great fanfare at the start of Lent.
Part I, which covered Jesus' early ministry, shot to the top of the best-seller lists in Italy when it was published in 2007 and already, 1.2 (m) million copies of Part II have been printed in seven languages, and reprints of 100,000 more are planned for the Italian editions and 50,000 in German.
The book, with its distinctive red and white cover, was on display in the Vatican bookshop, near St Peter's Square on Thursday.
In it, Benedict affirms that the centuries of mistrust of Christians toward Jews was deeply misplaced.
While the Catholic Church has been teaching that for nearly 50 years, the fact that the Pope said it so authoritatively prompted praise from major Jewish groups and a thank you note from Israeli Prime Minster Benjamin Netanyahu.
"That blaming a whole people with the accusation of having killed God is wrong is already known in the Catholic Church," said the Rev. Giuseppe Costa, Director of the Libreria Editrice Vaticana, the Vatican publishing house, which publishes the book in Italian.
"The Holy Father underlines it, blaming responsibility for this onto the leaders of the time."
Benedict has been speaking out frequently to denounce religiously-motivated violence against Christians in the Middle East, Pakistan and elsewhere.

Mauro Biglino translated 23 books of the Bible for the Vatican. He had to translate the Leningrad Codex (the version of the Bible which all three major monotheistic religions - Christian, Jewish and Muslim - recognize as the official Bible) from the Hebrew, word by word, literally and with no interpretation whatsoever. That is to say, he's not a wannabe kabbalist, conspirationist or ufologist, since the official publishing organism of the Vatican approved and released those books, at least 17 of them. While working on the Bible, he realized that many of the stories this book tells where mistranslated, misinterpreted, mostly on purpose, in order to insert the notion of a spiritual, all-mighty and unerring God.
