Cuba, Cienfuegos Cuba, 2010 Travel Video
Go to www.codecuba.com to see more Cuba Videos. This high definition Cuba travel video was shot in Cienfuegos in 2010. Set around a large natural bay, Cienfuegos is a maritime city boasting superb 19th century architecture. In 2005, Unesco designated the city a world heritage site in order to help preserve these architectural masterpieces. The video opens with shots of some of these buildings and then focuses on the historical heart of Cienfuegos, the Parque José Martí. Highlights include shots of the arch of Triumph, the Teatro Tomás Terry, as well as other historic monuments. From Parque José Martí you can walk east along EL Bulevar, a pedestrian only steet lined with stores and restaurants to reach the Paseo del Prado. This stately Prado runs through town and is the longest street of its kind in Cuba. Continuing south, the Prado becomes the Malecón, a seaside drive offering exquisite views of one of the world's finest natural harbours. When the seawall runs out you will know that you have reached Punta Gorda. Punta Gorda is an old upper-class neighborhood characterized by it's elaborate mansions and palaces. Highlights include shots of the Hostal Palacio Azul, and the Club Cienfuegos. Continuing south we come to the most magnificent building Cienfuegos has to offer, the Palacio de Valle. Both interior and exterior shots are included to highlight the fabulous architecture which resembles an ornate Moroccan Kasbah in the Arab Spanish style of the Alcázar in Spain. As we ...

BENNY MORE cienfuegos
Benny More sings his composition CIENFUEGO live in Radio Progreso. Benny Moré (Bartolomé Maximiliano Moré Gutiérrez, was born on August 24, 1919 and died in 19 February19, 1963. He is often thought of as the greatest Cuban popular singer of all time. He was gifted with an innate musicality and fluid tenor voice which he colored and phrased with great expressivity. Moré was a master of most genres of Cuban music, such as the son montuno, mambo, guaracha, and bolero. In particular, it is unusual for a singer to be equally proficient at both the fast rhythms (eg guaracha) and the slower rhythms, such as the bolero. Moré also formed and led the leading Cuban big band of the 1950s, until his death in 1963. Beny was the lead singer of Perez Prado Orchestra. He also was a member of Conjunto Matamoros. He recorded with many orchestras both in Mexico and in Cuba and other countries. His big band was similar to Perez Prado Orchestra with whom he learned all the tricks of the trade. Although he could not read music, he was a fluid composer. Here you will hear a live performance that he did in RADIO PROGRESO. We bring EL SONERO MAYOR DE CUBA to YOUTUBE so future generations know who this music giant was.

Cienfuegos Cuba Bici Taxi in the Rain
A bici taxi ride through Cienfuegos in the rain, May Day 2011. It was the first rain after a long drought and later in the day it poured so hard that the Malecon turned into a two foot deep river. People enjoyed it and the mangoes were sure to ripen soon. For a look at some beautiful Cuban art available in the US and Canada, please visit cubanocanadian.ca or http

Swimming With Dolphins in Cienfuegos, Cuba
At the Delfinario de Cienfuegos in Playa Rancho Luna, Cienfuegos, Cuba, you can come to watch a dolphin act and you can also swim with the dolphins. The little show lasts about 15-20 minutes, and then you will swim in groups of about 10 people. The swimming portion also lasts about 15 minutes (per group). Having these huge, but gentle creatures right next to you is definitely an amazing experience and you have plenty of opportunity to interact with them. The highlight, for those that choose to do it, is having two dolphins lift you right out of the water. Very cool and I have not seen that done at other dolphin experiences. They have a photographer taking photos of the whole experience and they sell the photos to you on a CD immediately after you are done. It is worth the cost to be able to just enjoy the experience and not worry about pictures. Those that are not swimming can watch, but they are not right up close to you like the photographer is and will not be able to get the same kind of photos. I cannot remember the price, but I remember being surprised at how reasonable it was. I do feel torn about the experience in that I feel bad for the dolphins and how hard they work. On the one hand, they were genuinely curious about us and liked playing with us, but on the other hand they are obviously working hard to provide what the tourists want. I think their trainers love them and take good care of them - but they are still captive. So despite how cool of an experience it ...

Who murdered Camilo Cienfuegos ? - HQ - Documentary w/ English Subtitles
Documentary about the murder of Camilo Cienfuegos, commander of the Cuban Rebel Army(he led from the front.) en.wikipedia.org It's a shame, things might've turned out better for Cuba and especially Africa if Raul Castro, Che, and Fidel weren't threatened by his popularity within the army. He was the favorite because he was genuine and because he was a good soldier and leader who fought alongside his troops. The other versions I saw on the net were very lq & had subtitles that were painful to read, so... here it is. sidenote: A lot of people forget that the first place mandela went after getting out of that SA prison was Cuba, to give thanks for all of the Cuban military support. Cuba was responsible for South African Defense forces having their asses handed to them in Angola. Most Americans paid little attention to Africa in the 70's and 80's, but the continent was full of action. Look for documentaries about those conflicts. Hardcore and fascinating shit went down. one love.
