Negev
The Negev (Hebrew: הַנֶּגֶב, Tiberian vocalization: han-Néḡeḇ , Arabic: النقب an-Naqab) is a desert and semidesert region of southern Israel. The region's largest city and administrative capital is Beersheba (pop. 196,000), in the north. At its southern end is the Gulf of Aqaba and the resort city of Eilat. It contains several development towns, including Dimona, Arad and Mitzpe Ramon, as well as a number of small Bedouin cities, including Rahat and Tel as-Sabi. There are also several kibbutzim, including Revivim and Sde Boker; the latter became the home of Israel's first Prime Minister, David Ben-Gurion, after his retirement from politics.
The desert is home to the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, whose faculties include the Jacob Blaustein Institutes for Desert Research and the Albert Katz International School for Desert Studies, both located on the Midreshet Ben-Gurion campus adjacent to Sde Boker.
In October 2012, global travel guide publisher Lonely Planet rated the Negev second on a list of the world's top ten regional travel destinations for 2013, noting its current transformation through development.

One Day Trip to Timna National Park in Israel. We took a local bus that left us 4 km far from the entrance of the park so we started walking in the desert to get there. Once we arrived to the gates the lady said: 'oh, did you walk here? Well, you know Timna is quite big. The oasis is 10km on foot. I hope you can find someone who will pick you up and bring there, otherwise you better start walking before it gets dark. I studied for and received my first bachelors degree in the ancient history of the Holy Land, and am presently completing my studies for my second degree.(Masters)
Parralel to my studies, and in order to earn a living, I was employed for many years in advertising. What I learned there was how to attract the publics attention, generate and, increase interest, and assimilate information. All this I use as tools to describe, explain and deepen the interest in the sites that we visit. From my experience, I have learned that in this way, the Holy Land becomes more than just history, and that the large stones that we see scattered about in dissaray, join together one by one until they become - a Byzantine Church. This also happens when I lead a group of Pilgrims in the Steps of Jesus. We climb to the peak of Mount Precipice, "glide" over the land to the Sea of Galilee, land on the water and "see" the miracle which enfolds before us. This is a many faceted experience. Not only history which you will remember and cherish, but an experience which I hope will be inplanted in your hearts and minds, and will accompany you all the days of your life.

הר רמון
הר רמון הוא ההר הגבוה ביותר בנגב, ופסגתו בגובה 1037 מ'. ההר מצוי בדרום-מערב מכתש רמון. כמעט מדי חורף יורד שלג על ההר, בדרך כלל בחודשים ינואר ופברואר.
רגמים
רגמים הם תילי אבנים עגולים גדולים מאוד, בינוניים או קטנים. בישראל קוטר הרגמים הוא כ-5 מ'. גובהם השתמר לגובה של מטר או יותר. מטרת הרגמים היה לכסות על גופות נפטרים. הסיבה ליצירת רגמים היא טכנית: בנגב אין קרקע ולא ולא ניתן לחפור קברי שוחה, המסלע הבונה את שדרת ההר הוא גיר קשה מתקופת הקנומן-טורון. בסלע זה גם קשה מאוד לחצוב מערות קבורה, כפי שהיה נהוג לחצוב בסלעי הקירטון הרכים של שפלת יהודה וירושלים. הניחו את הנפטרים על המסלע של ההר, וכיסו אותם בגל אבנים עגול. כך, נמצאו שדות רבים של רגמים ברחבי הנגב.
קו K
בנגב התגלו קווי אבנים ארוכים וישרים, שהם מעין קיר מוארך העשוי משתי שורות של אבנים גדולות וביניהן מילוי עפר. גובה הקיר 0.6-0.8 מ' מטר, עוביו כ- 1.2 מ' ואורכם קילומטרים אחדים. מרבית הקווים שהתגלו הם בזיקה לרגמים ואתרי הקבורה מתקופת הברונזה התיכונה א'. הקווים חוצים מכשולים טופוגרפים וממשיכים את דרכם הישרה באין מפריע.
קו K הוא אחד מהקווים הבולטים, ואורכו 4.6 ק"מ, הוא חוצה מכשולים טופוגרפיים ושומר על כיוון מזרח-מערב, והוא מקשר בין הישובים בהר רמון לבין הישוב בהר רומם, בקצה הקו נמצאו רגמים ובקצהו המזרחי ישוב קטן והרוס.
