MONSTER ENERGY: SHANE O'NEILL ENDLESS PROGRESSION
Monster Energy is proud to launch its second skate RED Epic Cam Series featuring Shane O'Neill who was filmed at the first 2012 Street League Skateboarding™ contest in Kansas City where he breaks down his endless motivation and passion for technical skateboarding through progression. "What keeps me skating and what makes me enjoy it and love it and keeps it fun...is just progression to me," said O'Neill. "I have so many trick ideas for myself that I just want to try...it's endless with skateboarding. Originally from Melbourne, Australia and regarded as one of the most technical skateboarders in the game, O'Neill exploded on the US skate scene a few years ago and quickly skated his way to respect, rising to the top of the street skating scene. "I first started skating because I saw a kid down the street skating and I thought, wow that looks amazing and I just kept going from there and made it to here somehow," said O'Neill. Included amongst the elite top 24 best skateboarders in the world, O'Neill is a leading competitor in the exclusive Street League competition where the most respected street skateboarders in the world compete on real courses that emulate city streets. Shooting at 120 frames per second -- this video captures O'Neill's fluid and technical style while featuring a unique sound design with no music creating an enhanced audio and video experience. Not afraid to throw down ledge tricks for his first try during contests O'Neill is known to successfully land ...

Energy Expert Byron King on Peak Oil, Natural Gas and Rare Earths!
Follow us @ twitter.com twitter.com Welcome to Capital Account. Brent and WTI crude oil prices have been close to an eight-month low as OPEC meets to talk about production quotas. Word is the group will not cut output a broader weakening of the global economy. This is despite some calls for supply cuts to curb the price slide. BUT is excess supply the reason prices have come down? Not according to Agora Financial's energy expert Byron King. He says the worlds largest oil fields are depleting and global discovery rates are NOT keeping up. And so the question becomes - what's the future of energy? Are green energy players losers without subsidies? Can anything compete with natural gas when its price is so low? And is Nuclear still game on despite the Fukushima disaster? We'll try to answer all of those questions with our guest Byron King, and while we're on resources, talk industrial metals. Plus, crime pays but not that well when it comes to bank robbery. There is a low return on investment according to researchers it turns out. I guess this adds to our guest William K. Black's thesis that the best way to rob a bank is to own one. Demetri and Lauren will give you their take during today's episode of Loose Change.

Donald Sadoway: The missing link to renewable energy
www.ted.com What's the key to using alternative energy, like solar and wind? Storage -- so we can have power on tap even when the sun's not out and the wind's not blowing. In this accessible, inspiring talk, Donald Sadoway takes to the blackboard to show us the future of large-scale batteries that store renewable energy. As he says "We need to think about the problem differently. We need to think big. We need to think cheap."TEDTalks is a daily video podcast of the best talks and performances from the TED Conference, where the world's leading thinkers and doers give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes. The Truth Behind The Energy Lie (Supression Of Technological Evolution, The Evidence) full movie
***please Share, help wake the world up*** theenergylie.weebly.com No Body Of Men Has The Right To Deny The Technological Evolution Of Mankind... The Energy Crisis is a lie, here is the evidence. If a civilization truly wishes to consider itself civilized, it must embrace all technological and scientific advances. The suppression of any technological advance, can not be tolerated if we wish to be a 'civil'ization. we must ask ourselves if we are working for the benefit of all mankind, or working for the benefit of a few businessman and politicians. The fact that we are unnecessarily poisoning our planet, our home, when their are numerous solutions, raises several questions as to why these technologies are being suppressed. The root of the problem is almost entirely one thing, greed. We as a society can no longer focus our entire efforts into what is profitable, because what is profitable is not always right, and what is right is not always profitable. contains a 7-part movie covering various inventors and suppressed inventions. such as, Nikola Tesla, Marco Rodin, Stan Meyers, John Hutchison, Water powered cars(HHO gas) water, dirt, and air batteries, "kelvins thunderstorm", Stirling engines, the "n-machine", and several others, well worth watching, even if you know a lot about "free energy" you may learn something you didn't know.

Nickel titanium as a clean Energy Source [recently uncovered CNN footage, not originally aired]
Prize winning 1982 CNN report by science editor Kevin Sanders. Here top scientists and Nobel prize winners discuss the new breakthroughs they have made with engines powered by the elastic and memory properties of Nitenol in different temperatures. They say that a wheel using its heat energy to be converted directly into kinetic energy had been running for months with over 2 million revolutions without loosing any speed and in fact gaining some eventually. "In unpublished journals and private messages, a number of which are still classified, were saying based on private and not published government research papers that "nytenol could provide a new means of energy conversion that might mean considerable long term implications" induction By the sounds of it a lot of this research was classified and being developed by many many companies that were the current energy leaders of the time. Surely there will be evidence of what they found out about it somewhere? And why they don't use it? The Nobel Prize winner says that after 2 years all the energy is free, as the cost of making the devices compared to value of the energy produced keeps going nearly indefinitely afterwards. Anyone find patents or science literature from this time? 1970-1980. I keep drawing blanks and have yet to see the reason why it's inefficient as an energy converter, considering the abundance of the materials used. They said in the interview that the papers exist but have not been published yet ... where ...

www.ted.com In this intimate talk filmed at TED's offices, energy theorist Amory Lovins lays out the steps we must take to end the world's dependence on oil (before we run out). Altaeros Energies - Airborne Wind Turbine Prototype 2012
www.altaerosenergies.com - First public video of the 35-foot-wide Airborne Wind Turbine. The scale prototype harnessed strong winds up to 350 feet high to produce over twice the power of traditional wind turbines. The prototype was tested in Limestone Maine by Altaeros Energies, a wind energy company formed out of MIT. The Airborne Wind Turbine uses a helium-filled, inflatable shell to ascend to higher altitudes where winds are more consistent and over five times stronger than those reached by traditional tower-mounted turbines. The automated lifting technology is adapted from aerostats, industrial cousins of passenger blimps that for decades have lifted heavy communications and radar equipment into the air for long periods of time. Altaeros is developing its first product to reduce energy costs by up to 65 percent by displacing expensive fuel used to power diesel generators at remote industrial, military, and village sites. Virus-based piezoelectric energy generator
Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory scientists have developed a way to generate power using harmless viruses that convert mechanical energy into electricity. The milestone could lead to tiny devices that harvest electrical energy from the vibrations of everyday tasks. The first part of the video shows how Berkeley Lab scientists harness the piezoelectric properties of the virus to convert the force of a finger tap into electricity. The second part reveals the "viral-electric" generators in action, first by pressing only one of the generators, then by pressing two at the same time, which produces more current. Everything Is Energy
With his famous equation E= mc2, Albert Einstein proved that when you come right down to it everything in the universe is energy. Both in the physical plane of our reality of matter and the abstract reality of our mind are made up of energy patterns. The concept of a universal energy flow is not a new one. The ancient Chinese called this flow chi; the ancient Hindus called it prana. The disciplines that developed in those two cultures - t'ai chi and yoga, respectively- are based on the art of tuning in to the flow of energy and using it to centre the self. Particle physicists try to understand the nature of nature at the smallest scales possible. Today, we know that atoms do not represent the smallest unit of matter. Particles called quarks and leptons seem to be the fundamental building blocks - but perhaps there is something even smaller. Empty space, we have discovered, is actually not empty at all. Astrophysicists have found that less than 10 percent of the mass of the entire universe consists of the kind of "luminous" matter that we can see. What is the dark matter that makes up the rest of the universe? How can we find out? Though we understand many important properties of the fundamental building blocks of our universe, there are untold mysteries still to solve. Advances in technology allow physicists to build more powerful and sophisticated instruments to look deeper and deeper inside matter. Like adventurers entering unknown territory, physicists forge ahead into ...

euronews science - Samsø: where renewable energy rules the roost
www.euronews.com The tiny, Danish island Samsø, is garnering a rather big reputation as a leading 'sustainable energy island'. In 1997 the Danish Energy Agency gave it the tough task of eschewing all forms of non renewable power, in favour of greener alternatives. Since then CO2 emissions have been significantly reduced and the island even has its own Energy Academy. To improve household energy efficiency, a national program subsidised the installation of various biomass heating, solar collectors and heat pump systems for the entire community. The population of Samsø own all the wind turbines on and off the island as a collective cooperative but with cars and ferries still relying on fossil fuels, the islanders have one last obstacle to overcome in their pursuit of sustainability.
