The other video I posted on this profile was off on framerate and I didn't notice it until I posted it so here is another copy of it with a tighter framerate/audiorate. I decided to leave the other one up since several websites have already linked to it. Again, someone please forward this to Rick and Joel.

PS3 ultra-framerate lag
Anyone ever seen it this bad before? Mine has been bad, but never THIS bad. But this would explain why my KD on RCuneo is 1.49 and on veggie_taco it's 2.8 something. IDK why the lag is happening on veggietaco, though.

Amazing Hidden Animations!
Amazing Hidden Animations!
The illusion of movement with a record player. Watch as hidden animations come alive by using a specific frame rate and shutter speeds of a camera and RPM of a record player. To me this is one of the ultimate illusions. Definition of Illusion: something that deceives by producing a false or misleading impression of reality. I used a Numark turntable set to 45 RPM and the camera was set to 24 FPS. The shutter speed was set to around 840. With that combination of settings a 30 frame animation would appear to stand still. I used the slider to increase / descrease rpms which caused the images to move foward or backward. The sequence of the guy jumping on the blocks was the most difficult but turned out the best, in my opinion. The images of the guy jumping is me. I recorded myself jumping in the living room then took 30 frames from that footage and traced the images in photoshop and filled with black. Then printed out the 30 images and cut each one out. I used 30 wooden blocks and glued them to a piece of construction paper then taped the images of the jumping guy to the clear sheet and aligned them with the blocks. I also love the pac-man animation. It's so simple but just has such a cool feel to see the mouth opening and closing.

Flying in Slow Motion
Flying in Slow Motion
Film made by Devin Graham. Stephen Anderson wrote the score for this piece. You can contact him here, or on itunes as well. www.stephenjanderson.com I took video footage from a video I released two weeks ago to make this. For this particular video, Jace Leroy was the main camera guy on it, then Kristen Hillier, and then I. This video was shot mostly with the Canon T2i, at 60 fps. A couple shots were done with the Canon 5D, and one shot was done with the GoPro Hero camera. You can buy more about GoPro cameras in their official website below. www.GoPro.com I used After Effects to re-render the frame rate to make it play much slower then 60fps. I used an effect called "Time Warp". A lot of people have sent me messages asking me what settings I used with "Time Warp" in after effects, and this isn't a question I can totally answer because I just did it by trial and error. Each video clip I just had to play with each of the settings to adjust what looked best. It took me 4 days of figuring this out. What I personally found best was to slow down the video to 50 percent. Which made the frame rate go from 60fps to 120fps. I would then throw it back into timewarp, and slow it down again 50 perent making the frame rate 240. I then did it once more to make the frame rate 480fps. So 480 fps was the slowest clips that I used on this video. The bottom line was just experimenting with what looked best, and then waiting forever for it to render out. For sound design I experimented with ...

More NASA Alien Anomalies - a closer look at the Apollo 16mm "DAC" Footage (Trailer)
Hi everyone, This brief presentation you will see here is just a bit of a teaser/trailer, showing a short segment from a larger video project I am currently in the process of working on. While the full presentation is still awhile away from being complete, I have received more than a few emails asking me about when my next video was going to come out, so I thought that in the interim, I would release this short segment just as a teaser to show a taste of some of the interesting visuals I plan to include in upcoming presentations where I will provide my own analysis of some of the Apollo-era films. All of the footage you will see here was captured on film during the Apollo missions to the Moon, shot by NASA astronauts. Originally exposed on 16mm film, this footage was taken using what was known as the "DAC" - the "Data Acquisition Camera". Hope you enjoy, Cheers! LunaCognita THE "DAC" The Maurer "DAC" cameras used to shoot this footage were modified variable frame rate 16mm motion picture film cameras that were used by the various Apollo crews throughout their missions to the Moon to film scenes of interest through the windows of the spacecraft, as well as to shoot exterior footage during lunar surface "moonwalk" operations and Trans-Earth-Coast EVA ops in cis-lunar space during that return-to-Earth phase of the missions. When it was being used in "automatic" mode, the DAC camera could be set by the astronaut to expose the film within it's magazine at one of three set ...
