Illinois state lawmaker has Massive Meltdown on House floor: 'Let my people go!' (May 31, 2012)
An Illinois state lawmaker lost his temper in dramatic fashion on Tuesday when he screamed and threw papers in the direction of his colleagues on the floor of the state House.Republican Mike Bost says he was simply protesting changes made to a proposed pension bill offered by House Speaker Michael Madigan, a Democrat. The bill had recently cleared a House committee and has been endorsed by Gov. Pat Quinn."Total power in one person's hands—not the American way!" Bost screamed from the state House floor. As the local CBS Chicago affiliate reported, Bost then threw several papers in the air and attempted to punch them with his fist as they drifted downward. "These damn bills that come out here all the damn time, come out here at the last second!" Bost said as he threw the papers on the floor. "I've got to figure out how to vote for my people!"Bost and other Republicans are opposed to the structure of the bill, which would raise local property taxes to decrease annual cost-of-living increases for public employees."You should be ashamed of yourselves! I'm sick of it!" Bost said. "Every year! We give power to one person! It was not made that way in the Constitution! He was around when it was written! Now we give him—we've passed rules that stop each one of us! Enough! I feel like somebody trying to be released from Egypt! Let my people go!"A much more composed Bost later appeared on Fox News, where he discussed the incident, telling host Bill Hemmer, "Normally, I really don't ...

Michigan Lawmaker Says "Vagina," Is Banned From House Floor
Apparently even a topical vagina monologue is not appropriate for the Michigan state House. Democratic Rep. Lisa Brown was banned from speaking on the floor of her state's legislature this week after engaging Republican lawmakers over a bill that would put restrictions on Michigan abortion rights. "I'm flattered that you're all so interested in my vagina," said Brown to the Speaker, "But 'no' means 'no.' " The legislation in question, which easily passed the House with Republican votes and is now headed to the Senate, would prohibit abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy, and put other restrictions on providers. Brown said her impassioned argument came from a concern for abortions when a mother's life is in danger during a pregnancy. A Republican majority spokesman said GOP Floor Leader Jim Stamas deemed Brown's comments in violation of House decorum guidelines. She was then banned from debating a bill later in the week. "If they are going to legislate my anatomy, I see no reason why I cannot Mention it," Brown told the Detroit Free Press.

Jordanian Lawmaker Pulls Out Gun On Political Activist During Live TV
After trading insults with activist, parliamentarian first throws a shoe and then points a gun at adversary. Host tries to break up brawl. No shots fired A Jordanian member of parliament pulled a gun on a political activist during a furious debate live on Jordanian TV on Friday. The MP, named in a YouTube clip of the confrontation as Mohammed Shawabka, was debating a political activist named in the clip as Mansour Sayf al-Din Murad, discussing aspects of Jordanian politics including attitudes surrounding the uprising in Syria. As the discussion became more heated, each of the men accused the other of various crimes and deviancies, including working for the Israeli Mossad intelligence agency. "You're a Mossad agent," said one. "You're a big crook," said the other. The MP stood up and began screaming and pointing at the activist, who was sitting opposite him, while the host of the program, Mohammed Habashneh, seated in the center, desperately urged his guests to "calm down." Instead, the MP sat back down, bent over and took off his right shoe, and threw it at the activist, who ducked behind his desk, knocking it over. Then the MP pulled a gun — a silver pistol — out of his waistband and briefly brandished it toward the activist, who walked toward him. The MP kept holding the gun, but was no longer pointing it at his critic. The two men struggled, with the parliamentarian again careful now not to point the gun at his adversary, while the panicked host circumnavigated the ...

David Albo, Virginia Lawmaker, Says Wife Wouldn't Have Sex Because Of Transvaginal Ultrasound Bill
Video Source: notlarrysabato Text Source: www.huffingtonpost.com Virginia's controversial transvaginal ultrasound bill hit one Republican lawmaker close to home. In the bedroom, to be precise. He said a fellow lawmaker's television discussion of the bill cost him sex with his wife. State Del. David Albo (R-Fairfax Station) was addressing the House of Delegates Friday when he described his failed seduction of his wife Tuesday night. Albo had driven home from Richmond following debate on the bill, which would have required women to have a transvaginal ultrasound procedure before receiving an abortion. (Gov. Bob McDonnell (R) announced this week that he and Republican lawmakers reached a deal to make the transvaginal procedure optional instead of mandated.) Albo's remarks -- which he delivered with laughter -- were aimed in particular at that TV-talking colleague, Del. David Englin (D-Alexandria), a leading opponent of the bill. "Boy's in bed, wife's here, TV, poured some red wine," Albo said of how he began the night. Albo then attempted to play some "mood music" for his fellow lawmakers to help explain how he tried to entice his wife. House members were laughing as Albo received assistance from another lawmaker in putting on the music. The next step in his seduction plan He went to turn on the Redskins Channel to help put his wife in the mood for love. Apparently, his wife loves the Washington football team. On the way to his Redskins seduction, Albo found a news channel ...

VOTING FRAUD BY GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS CAUGHT ON TAPE!!! WHY ARE THEY NOT IN JAIL?!?!
your lawmakers are voting more then once for the same bill, they are actually voting for their buddies and are even blatant enough to cast other lawmakers votes for them when they have their back turned! these clowns need to be in jail not tomorrow, not after breakfast NOW! PLEASE SHARE THIS VID WITH EVERYONE AND DEMAND JUSTICE! What would happen to you if police caught you on video fraudulently voting? Would cops quickly arrest you and throw you in jail, only to have the District Attorney immediately charge you with fraud? What would happen to elected government officials if they were caught doing the same? Absolutely nothing? In fact, our representatives in the US government have become so brazen, that they commit fraud in plain view, on a daily basis, while at the same time trying to pass laws that would further restrict and criminalize the public for doing the same. This is a clear sign of excessive government, when the government is so large and overwhelmingly powerful that it's agents can abuse the civilian population without any sense of guilt, remorse, or fear - when government officials deny charges of illegal conduct made against themselves as a matter of semantics, and when agents of the government expect and get immunity from any of their actions; actions that would be criminally prosecuted upon any other citizens. The few standing up for freedom, liberty, and the Constitution, such as Congressman Ron Paul, who has been called the Thomas Jefferson of our day ...

Opposition Lawmaker in US To Lobby for Release of Protesters (Cambodia news in Khmer)
Mu Sochua, an opposition parliamentarian for the Sam Rainsy Party, is currently in the US seeking help from the US government to pressure for the release of 15 women protesters arrested last month. In a TV interview with VOA Khmer, she said she met with Melanne Verveer, the US Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women's Issues, suggesting the protesters be released before Secretary of State Hillary Clinton arrives for a visit next month. Mu Sochua has said in the past the US should stop military aid to Cambodia until it improves its rights record, especially in the use of force against civilians by state security.
