Social Media Masters in Atlanta

by admin on August 23, 2011

Register NowIf you're an Atlanta-area social media or marketing professional worth your salt, we know where you'll be this Friday, August 26: the Social Media Masters produced by our brilliant friends at Social Media Club with Sensei Marketing. Why?

1. Depth: Most social media events are aimed at novices, but this is not a typical how-do-I-set-up-Twitter introductory event. The all-day conference is designed for professionals. Per the website: "Whether you are in charge of a department in a large organization, you are responsible for multiple clients within an agency, or you are an independent professional deepening your skills and knowledge, this special conference will help you advance your career and accomplish your goals in key areas of social media marketing."

2. Expertise: Sessions will cover topics such as brand resilience, building corporate infrastructure, mobile marketing, Facebook strategies, community building, corporate blogging, and more. And, more importantly, are presented by knowledgable speakers with years of experience.

3. Proximity: The previous Social Media Masters event was in San Diego, and they've got only one stop in the South (Atlanta!) before the event takes off to L.A., NYC, Toronto, and Kansas City. Don't miss your chance.

4. Discounts: The event lasts all day and your registration includes lunch as well as a networking opportunity the night before the conference with several of the speakers, and you'll get it all for 30% off if you're a friend of Regator and you register before noon on the 25th. Just enter the discount code "regator" as you check out.

Disclosure: Regator cofounder Kimberly Turner has volunteered as a member of Social Media Club's editorial board in the past, but Regator was NOT paid to offer this discount or to promote this event in any way and we're sharing this information because events organized by Social Media Club and SMC founders Kristie Wells and Chris Heuer have repeatedly proven themselves to be valuable learning experiences.

Regator’s Third Anniversary Celebration!

by Kimberly Turner on August 11, 2011

Regator is turning three years old, which, according to developmental milestones, means we should be able to sleep through the night (check!), feed ourselves with some spilling (check!), and make simple choices between two things (double check!). This year was all about making choices in Regatorland–though they weren't always simple.

In our third year, we made the important decision to, as they say in certain circles, pivot. We went from focusing exclusively on helping a mass-market audience find better online content to using our new API to help businesses make sense of data and help news organizations identify news faster. There are a lot of exciting things going on with Regator, and we'd love it if you could come out to celebrate our third anniversary with us. Here are the details…

What: Regator's third anniversary celebration
Where: Marlay House, 426 West Ponce De Leon Avenue, Decatur
When: 6pm til ?, Friday, August 19
Who: It will be a casual gathering and everyone who's a friend of Regator or a friend of the startup community in general is more than welcome.

Choosing just fifty blogs for our year-end best-of round up from among the thousands of brilliant blogs on Regator was like choosing which of these kittens is cutest. "That one! No…that one!
