Jack Steven Irons (born July 18, 1962) is an American drummer and multi-instrumentalist. He is best known as the founding drummer of the American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers, and as a former member of Pearl Jam, with whom he recorded two studio albums.
Alongside his work with Red Hot Chili Peppers and Pearl Jam, Irons has been a member of both Eleven, The Wallflowers and Mark Lanegan Band. He has worked with Joe Strummer and The Latino Rockabilly War, Redd Kross, Raging Slab, Spinnerette and The Les Claypool Frog Brigade. In 2004, Irons released his first solo album, Attention Dimension, and released his second, No Heads Are Better Than One, in 2010.
Irons was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Red Hot Chili Peppers on April 14, 2012. Irons, along with former drummer Cliff Martinez, joined the band onstage for the first time in 24 years for a performance of their 1991 hit, "Give It Away".
Jack Irons was born and raised in Los Angeles. He is from a Jewish background. Irons grew up using his family's cutlery as drumsticks, playing along to whatever was on the radio. He talked his parents into buying him a drum set, and took a drum class. Irons attended Bancroft Jr. High School in Hollywood, where he met future bandmates Michael "Flea" Balzary and Hillel Slovak. He then went on to attend Fairfax High School in Los Angeles alongside Balzary and Slovak, as well as future bandmates Anthony Kiedis and Alain Johannes. Irons played drums in the school band and orchestra. He and Slovak were both fans of Kiss, and they formed a tribute act. Irons was influenced by Jack DeJohnette, Stewart Copeland, and Keith Moon.

It received a negative rating from the film site AllMovie.
Four adolescent youths travel to seek out employment opportunity at a resort in Mexico. The supervisor of the facility advises them to stay away from relations with the guests. However, the youngsters soon find themselves enmeshed in relationships with colorful figures that visit the facility including two older individuals from Texas that engage in the sexual practice of swinging, a dominatrix from Germany, a music instructor who becomes sexually aroused when giving lessons, and a large-breasted chef. One of the boys refrains from sexual activity and waits to find a match to engage with him emotionally and love him.
Cast members include Allan Kayser, Joe Rubbo, and Louisa Moritz.
Red Hot Chili Peppers, also sometimes shortened to "The Chili Peppers" or abbreviated as "RHCP", are an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1983. The group's musical style primarily consists of rock with an emphasis on funk, as well as elements from other genres such as punk rock and psychedelic rock. When played live, their music incorporates elements of jam band due to the improvised nature of much of their performances. Currently, the band consists of founding members Anthony Kiedis (vocals), Flea (bass), longtime drummer Chad Smith; and guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, who joined in late-2009, replacing John Frusciante. Red Hot Chili Peppers have won seven Grammy Awards and have become one of the best-selling bands of all time, selling over 80 million records worldwide. In 2012, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The chili pepper (also chile pepper or chilli pepper, from Nahuatl chīlli [ˈt͡ʃiːli]) is the fruit of plants from the genus Capsicum, members of the nightshade family, Solanaceae. In Britain, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, Pakistan, India, and other Asian countries, it is usually known simply as the chilli.
The substances that give chili peppers their intensity when ingested or applied topically are capsaicin and several related chemicals, collectively called capsaicinoids.
Chili peppers originated in the Americas. After the Columbian Exchange, many cultivars of chili pepper spread across the world, used in both food and medicine. Chilies were brought to Asia by Portuguese navigators during the 16th century.
India is the world's largest producer, consumer and exporter of chili peppers.Guntur in the South Indian state of Andhra Pradesh produces 30% of all the chilies produced in India. Andhra Pradesh as a whole contributes 75% of India's chili exports.
Chili peppers have been a part of the human diet in the Americas since at least 7500 BCE. The most recent research shows that chili peppers were domesticated more than 6000 years ago in Mexico, in the region that extends across southern Puebla and northern Oaxaca to southeastern Veracruz, and were one of the first self-pollinating crops cultivated in Mexico, Central and parts of South America.

Dick Clark interviews the rock band What is this? Band members Alain Johannes, Jack Irons, Chris Hutchinson talk about the band's plans of touring, knowing each other from junior high school, and the influence 60's music and Jimi Hendrix has on them.
This fiery rudimental solo is excerpted from the song "Doubloons" from Jack Irons' new solo album No Heads Are Better Than One. It has lots of 5-stroke rolls and drags that he spices up with open hi-hat accents and tom hits. You can find the notation in the December 2010 issue of DRUM! Magazine, which includes his probable stickings. However, despite the notation, it is not to be played literally like the classic rudimental snare solo "The Three Camps," with slight pauses after each roll. Irons is playing slurred tap rolls throughout this section, meaning that the rolls flow without interruption from accent to accent, sounding like a one relentless roll. After hearing this, I'd bet Irons has a couple of dog-eared copies of Charlie Wilcoxin's snare books lying about.
