Kano - Cosmic Voyager (1980)
Kano was a post-disco music project formed in 1979 by Italian-based producers/musicians Luciano Ninzatti, Stefano Pulga and Matteo Bonsanto who helped usher in a style of dance music called Italo-disco, a blend of 1970s disco and funk with the addition of synthesizers made by artists and producers in Italy. Cosmic Voyager is a little different compared with their genuine style. A wonderful space track.

Unlimited Touch - Searching To Find The One [Remix]
Unlimited Touch was a New York based post disco group who had some regional fame in the early eighties. The group consisted of Audrey Wheeler, Phil Hamilton, Tony Cintron, Sandy Anderson, Stephanie James and Lenny Underwood. Raymond Reid and William Anderson from New York based band Crown Heights Affair instigated Unlimited Touch in the early '80's, however, they did not form part of the band. Featuring vocalists Audrey Wheeler and Stephanie James, the group was signed to Prelude Records (via Epic Records in the UK). Due to a major management / label and group dispute, they disbanded by the end of 1981. Lenny Underwood co-wrote "I Hear Music In The Streets" and "Searchin' To Find The One" which were regional hits in the States. They later released "Yes We're Ready", in 1983, and a further single "Reach Out (Everlasting Love)" in 1984. In 1999, producer Sean Combs sampled the bass and drum breakdown of "I Hear Music In The Streets" for the Faith Evans song, "All Night Long". Other artists who have sampled "I Hear Music In The Streets" include Biz Markie and Rampage along with Bille Lawrence. Indeep - Last Night A DJ Saved My Life, Top Of The Pops 1983
Nice quality video recorded live in the studio from Top Of The pops 1983. Indeep was a 1980s New York-based R&B;/New Wave group, best-known for its post-disco song "Last Night a DJ Saved My Life." The group was led by its songwriter-musician Michael Cleveland, and it was known for employing a strong disco-esque bass line and early hip hop lyrics backed by two female singers: Réjane Magloire and Rose Marie Ramsey. "Last Night a DJ Saved My Life" was released on Sound of New York/Becket Records (SNY-5102) in 1982 and peaked in early 1983, reaching the top 10 in the US R&B; and No.2 in the US Club as well as the Top 15 in UK and was certified for Gold-level sales in France. The follow-up single, "When Boys Talk," did not do nearly as well on either side of the Atlantic, which, combined with its limited later success, put the group into the one-hit wonders category. Vocalist Magloire later enjoyed some success with the Belgian techno-house outfit Technotronic. "Last Night a DJ Saved My Life" was later covered by Mariah Carey on her 2001 album Glitter and reached No.25 in Spain. Singles: "Last Night a DJ Saved My Life" (1982) (US R&B; No.10, US Club No.2, UK No.13, IRL No.18) "When Boys Talk" (1983) US R&B; No.32, US Club No.16, UK No.67 "Buffalo Bill" (1983) US R&B; No.81 "The Record Keeps Spinning" (1983) US Black No.45 "The Rapper" (1984) "The Night the Boy Learned How to Dance" (1984) Albums: Last Night a DJ Saved My Life! (1982) Pajama Party Time (1984) The Collection (1991 ...

Kasper Bjørke: Heaven (Official music video)
Buy this song on: iTunes: itunes.apple.com Beatport: www.beatport.com Juno Downloads: www.junodownload.com What People Play: www.whatpeopleplay.com „Smell of you baby, my senses, My senses be praised Kissing and running, Kissing and running away Nothing will harm you, Nothing will stand in your way" These lines may seem strangely familiar and while listening further you'll most likely be carried away into celestial places before landing back on terra firma, before it strikes you: 'Heaven' is a coverversion of The Rolling Stones old classic from the 1981 „Tattoo You" album, which Kasper Bjørke has turned into a rousing, floating and sublime post-disco summer anthem. The strings are performed by top dog Italian string composer and arranger Davide Rossi (best known for his work with Goldfrapp, The Verve, Coldplay and the latest Alicia Keys hit „New York"). Vocals are by Danish Louise Foo, leadsinger in the much talked about new band Giana Factory, which will drop their debut album later this year. The song's dreamlike atmosphere has been perfectly transcribed into a stunning music video by Florence Tetier, Swiss graphic designer, art director and multi artist, who has done both Kasper's album artwork as well as making the video for the 1st single „Young Again" together with Florian Joye and Karim Huu Do. For „Heaven" Florence teamed up once more with her friend Florian Joye, a photographer and multi artist and came up with an installation scenario where mirrors, star-filters ...

A Lover's Holiday - Change (1980)
"A Lover's Holiday" was a 1980 crossover dance/soul single by Change, from the album, "The Glow Of Love". "A Lover's Holiday", along with the album's title track and "Searching" were very successful on the dance charts, spending nine weeks at #1. The three tracks were the most successful dance chart entries for 1980. "A Lover's Holiday" was also a hit on the soul singles chart peaking at #5, and peaking at #40 on the Billboard Hot 100. Change was an Italian-American post-disco group formed in Bologna, Italy in 1979, heavily influenced by legendary disco band Chic. Change was initially formed as a studio-band with a revolving cast of musicians, led by businessman and executive producer Jacques Fred Petrus, with the majority of song-writing and production carried out by Mauro Malavasi and Davide Romani. The band's dual Italian and American identity was a result of a production system, in which the music, excepting the vocals, was written and recorded by Italian collaborators in studios such as Fontoprint Studios, Bologna, Italy. The backing tracks were then taken to the US where vocals were added by American performers, before being mixed into finalized versions in major studios such as the Power Station in New York City. The band's debut album, "The Glow Of Love", was released in 1980. It was composed by a small team of writers made up of Romani, Malavasi, Tanyayette Willoughby, Paul Slade and Wayne Garfield. The first single was the million seller "A Lover's Holiday ...
