Colt 1911 .45 ACP (1991 Series 80)
Brief overview of the Colt .45 ACP Series 80, including closeup video segments, and target shooting. The era of the 1911 .45 ACP semiautomatic handgun on the TNOUTDOORS9 channel begins with this video. I have owned handguns since 1987 but until this point had never owned one in the 1911 platform. Handling the 1911 is an absolute pleasure; reliability and accuracy out of the box are spot-on. Recoil is quite controllable for fast, accurate follow-up shots. I could not have gotten too far into 2011, the 100th anniversary of the 1911 platform, without acquiring a 1911 handgun. The Colt was my first choice, with the Model 80 or 70 Series at the top of the list, Colt Commander being next. After Colt, Springfield would have likely been my next option. This gun was acquired new from a dealer for $799. At the date of this video production, Colt 1911's, in particular the Series 80, are difficult if not impossible to locate in my area. Mine was purchased from an East TN dealer exhibiting at a Nashville-area gun show. Shooting segments are with 230 gr FMJ at steel targets from 40 feet up to 55-60 yards. This firearm will be used for a variety of purposes on the channel, including ammo tests. I have absolutely no plans to make any modifications to this handgun; the setup will remain as you see it in this video. All shooting was performed safely on private property, in my backyard.

"The .380 ACP Sucks" by Nutnfancy
It ain't the best choice in most situations. And yet the .380 is chosen probably more often than it should be for concealed carry defensive use. It remains an underpowered caliber compared to the 9m and especially the .40 S&W. However sometimes SAWC will dictate its selection as a primary armament. Perhaps in the POUs of backup, survival kit option, "T-shirt and shorts," "super carry" gun (discussed), or in other systems where ultra-concealability is needed, the .380 serves well. You are much better served with IT than without anything at all. But in terms of ergonomics, power factor, and especially economy, it's comes in a distant second to a well-designed sub-compact 9mm option like the KelTec PF9, Ruger LC9, Walther PPS, Kahr PM9, and several others. These guns weigh more than most compact .380 options but still give extreme comfort in their carry (the most important attribute which will decide if you have your gun or not when you need it!). For a little extra weight, you get a lot more performance. At 15 oz for example, the excellent KelTec PF9 offers superior ergonomics, sight radius, grip, power, improved firepower, and in some cases better reliability. And yet it's just as thin and easy to carry as most .380s. Look carefully at your choice of .380 as a primary armament. In some POUs it does make good sense but for most people it might provide a shockingly underpowered and expensive-to-shoot handicap in the goal of self-protection.////////////////////////Music ...

Review: Kriss Super V .45 ACP Carbine
Action Target online store: www.shopactiontarget.com The Kriss Super V .45 ACP carbine is a very innovative rifle design. The Kriss Super V uses a unique recoil system to negate the effects of recoil. The Kriss Super V is one of the more revolutionary designs currently out there taking the concept of a pistol calibered carbine to the next level. The Kriss Super V also uses Glock 21 magazines.

.45 ACP CCI Shotshell Review
Testing the CCI Shotshell in .45 ACP. This is a great cartridge for the intended purpose...small rodents, snakes, etc., but probably not adequate for law-abiding self-defense. CCI DOES NOT advertise the shotshell for self-defense. However, based on what I've read in some forums over the years and responses to my shotshell reviews, there are those willing to give it a try. Hopefully, this video will demonstrate why the shotshell is a good choice for pest control with a handgun, but not the optimum option for self-defense. 9mm vs 45 ACP: The debate continues
I rant about the endless debate as to which is better, 9mm or 45. I know many of you are tiring of hearing about 9mm vs. 45 ACP but I figured I would throw my $.02 into the debate. In the end, use what works for you and ignore the internet commandos who claim one is vastly superior to the other.

Federal .380 ACP 90 gr Hydra-Shok JHP: SIM-TEST* w/denim
Simple penetration and expansion test of the Federal .380 ACP 90 grain Hydra-Shokhollowpoint, using a diluted form of SIM-TEST Ballistic Testing Media. This format is comparable to ballistic gel, and includes four layers of denim. Video includes brief overview of the cartridge, recoil shots, and one shot test. Post-shot evaluation shows bullet path through the block, average diameter, and retained weight. I purchased a box of 20 rounds at a local gun shop for just under $20. This was my first test ever of .380 ammo, more will follow in this format. VERY IMPORTANT INFO REGARDING AMMO TESTS ON THIS CHANNEL: Early on, I used wetpack for ammo testing, with or without denim. Beginning in 2011 I use SIM-TEST calibrated to ballistic gel specs plus 4 layers of denim. The denim is an IWBA standard simulating the density of heavy clothing. Please understand that these techniques are merely representations to indicate possible ballistics; they are not intended to replicate real-world street results. Even by adding bone, additional clothing, etc., there are just too many factors involved in a self-defense scenario to offer a 100% degree of accuracy when compared to street results. It is essential to perform exhaustive research on your carry choice, which could yield actual use data. The law-abiding citizen bears ultimate responsibility for their ammunition choice and insuring reliability in their handgun

Crime Target: ACP Pradyuman - Episode 523
Somebody has planned to take some revenge with ACP Pradyuman. He even tried to kill him but he was saved at the right time. Will CID be able to find this person who is behind all this? Watch to find out. The first thrilling investigative series on Indian Television, is today one of the most popular shows on Sony Entertainment Television. Dramatic and absolutely unpredictable, CID has captivated viewers over the last eleven years and continues to keep audiences glued to their television sets with its thrilling plots and excitement. Also interwoven in its fast paced plots are the personal challenges that the CID team faces with non-stop adventure, tremendous pressure and risk, all in the name of duty. The series consists of hard-core police procedural stories dealing with investigation, detection and suspense. The protagonists of the serial are an elite group of police officers belonging to the Crime Investigation Department of the police force, led by ACP Pradyuman [played by the dynamic Shivaji Satam]. While the stories are plausible, there is an emphasis on dramatic plotting and technical complexities faced by the police. At every stage, the plot throws up intriguing twists and turns keeping the officers on the move as they track criminals, led by the smallest of clues.

1911 .45 ACP 100 Year Anniversary
March 29, 2011 marked the 100 year anniversary of the adoption of the M1911, .45 ACP by the US military. This time-honored handgun design remains a viable entity, not so much with today's US Armed Forces, but militaries around the world, law enforcement, and civilians. A brief celebratory video in recognition of this accomplishment, complete with cake.

Shooting Beretta 950 Jetfire: .25 ACP Perfection
A quick shooting sequence showing the excellent accuracy of the tiny 950 Jetfire pistol. Holding 9 rounds, this is an excellent portable choice for LE or CCW Civilians. Yes it's only a .25 ACP caliber but thats a potent enough caliber when your carry system demands a pistol this small. The single action design will require practice and training. But, with that, it makes a great backup gun as well for you officers. Look for Nutnfancy's table top review of the 950 as well.////////////////Camo worn for review and testing. Nutnfancy Likability Scale: 10 out of 10 NOTE: Camo and tactical gear worn is from other tests being conducted that day at the clinic. I test and demo many items per visit.
