In einer spektakulären Kulisse verbinden sich damit bereits zum zweiten Mal epochale Filme der Kinogeschichte und Live-Musik zu einem besonderen kulturellen Ereignis. Fanden die UFA Filmnächte letzten Sommer noch im Schlosspark Sanssouci statt, zieht es sie in diesem Jahr auf den Schinkelplatz, zwischen Außenministerium, Friedrichwerdersche Kirche und die Spree, in das Herz von Berlin. An insgesamt drei Abenden sind bei den UFA Filmnächten open air filmhistorische Meilensteine mit musikalischer Live-Begleitung zu sehen. 16. August - Double Feature Berlin -- Die Sinfonie der Grosstadt (1927) Walther Ruttmanns berühmter Montagefilm ist eine Zeitreise ins Berlin der späten 1920er Jahre. Mithilfe zahlloser Kameraeinstellungen schuf der Regisseur ein Kaleidoskop von Alltagseindrücken der damaligen Reichshauptstadt.
