Holyfield-Tyson_II_poster.jpg (255 × 379 pixels, file size: 22 KB, MIME type: image/jpeg)
Sports event poster publicizing the Holyfield-Tyson II fight, The Sound and The Fury professional boxing match on 28 June 1997. The fight would eventually end in one of the most controversial endings ever in sports history - also known as The Bite Fight.
This image is of a poster, and the copyright for it is most likely owned by either the publisher or the creator of the work depicted. It is believed that the use of scaled-down, low-resolution images of posters
qualifies as fair use under United States copyright law. Any other uses of this image, on Wikipedia or elsewhere, may be copyright infringement. See Wikipedia:Non-free content for more information. |
[edit] Fair use rationale in Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield & The Bite Fight
Though this image is subject to copyright, I feel its use is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because:
- It is a historically significant promotional poster of an extremely notable sports event.
- It is of much lower resolution than the original (copies made from it will be of very inferior quality).
- The image is only being used for informational purposes.
- Its inclusion in the article adds significantly to the article because it shows the subject(s) of this article and the sporting event promoted in the image and significant effects on the careers of both Tyson, Holyfield and the sport of boxing.
