Tyson Dux

Tyson Moody (born June 19, 1978) is a Canadian professional wrestler, known by his ring name Tyson Dux (pronounced "Dukes"), and is currently wrestling for various independent promotions.

Professional wrestling career

Independent circuit (1997–present)

Dux trained under Scott D'Amore, Joe E. Legend and Terry Taylor and debuted in 1997 at the age of 18 in the International Championship Wrestling promotion. He was initially known by the ring name "Muay Thai Kid", with a gimmick that saw him don red karate pants and shave off his hair and eyebrows, before switching to the name Tyson Dux. Dux was asked to participate in the East Coast Wrestling Association's 2004 Super 8 Tournament, a tournament highlighting prominent cruiserweights on the independent circuit. However, he was forced to pull out of the tournament on March 31, 2004 after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament while wrestling Mark Jindrak on an episode of Velocity. Dux went on to take part in the 2005 Super 8 Tournament on April 9, 2005, losing to J.J. Perez in the first round.

Wrestling is a combat sport involving grappling type techniques such as clinch fighting, throws and takedowns, joint locks, pins and other grappling holds. A wrestling bout is a physical competition, between two (occasionally more) competitors or sparring partners, who attempt to gain and maintain a superior position. There are a wide range of styles with varying rules with both traditional historic and modern styles. History

Wrestling represents one of the oldest forms of combat. Literary references to it occur as early as in the Iliad, in which Homer recounts the Trojan War of the 13th or 12th century BC. The origins of wrestling go back 15,000 years through cave drawings in France. Babylonian and Egyptian reliefs show wrestlers using most of the holds known in the present-day sport.

Zack Sabre Jr.

Lucas Eatwell (born 24 July 1987) is a British professional wrestler better known by the ring name Zack Sabre Jr. Sabre is a former NWA United Kingdom Junior Heavyweight Championship winner and a product of the NWA-UK Hammerlock training school. He started training with NWA-UK Hammerlock at the age of 14, under the guidance of Jon Ryan and Andre Baker. His offense includes various technical wrestling holds and pinning combinations, along with hard hitting strikes, which stems from his love of puroresu. Sabre has had various battles throughout his career, with wrestlers such as Go Shiozaki, El Generico, Martin Stone and Prince Devitt, although it's likely that he is best known for his 2008 match of the year candidate with "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson in Triple X Wrestling. The match was featured in Fighting Spirit magazine and a DVD release is expected in future months. He was a member of popular British tag team the Leaders of the New School, alongside partner Marty Scurll. The readers of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter voted Sabre the Best Technical Wrestler of 2014 and 2015.

Professional wrestling

Professional wrestling (colloquially abbreviated to pro wrestling or wrestling) is an athletic form of entertainment based on a fictionalized, highly exaggerated portrayal of a combat sport. Taking the form of live events held by touring promotions, it portrays a unique style of combat based on a combination of adopted styles, which include classical wrestling, catch wrestling and various forms of martial arts, as well as an innovative style based on grappling (holds/throws), striking, and aerialism. Various forms of weaponry are sometimes used.

The content including match outcomes is choreographed and the combative actions and reactions are executed in special manners designed to both protect from, yet simulate pain. These facts were once kept highly secret but are now openly declared as the truth. By and large, the true nature of the content is ignored by the performing promotion in official media in order to sustain and promote the willing suspension of disbelief for the audience by maintaining an aura of verisimilitude. Fan communications by individual wrestlers and promotions through outside media (i.e. interviews) will often directly acknowledge the fictional nature of the spectacle.
