Ain (French pronunciation: [ɛ̃]; Arpitan: En) is a department named after the Ain River on the eastern edge of France. Being part of the region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and bordered by the rivers Saône and Rhône, the department of Ain enjoys a privileged geographic situation. It has an excellent transport network (TGV, highways) and benefits from the proximity to the international airports of Lyon and Geneva.
Ain is composed of four geographically different areas (Bresse, Dombes, Bugey and Pays de Gex) which – each with its own characteristics – contribute to the diversity and the dynamic economic development of the department. In the Bresse agriculture and agro-industry are dominated by the cultivation of cereals, cattle breeding, milk and cheese production as well as poultry farming. In the Dombes, pisciculture assumes greater importance as does wine making in the Bugey. The high diversification of the department's industry is accompanied by a strong presence of the plastics sector in and around Oyonnax (so-called "Plastics Valley").
Ain al-Hilweh (Arabic: عين الحلوة, lit. meaning "sweet natural spring"), also spelled as Ayn al-Hilweh and Ein al-Hilweh, is the largest Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon. It had a population of over 70,000 Palestinian refugees but swelled to nearly 120,000, as a result of influx of refugees from Syria since 2011. The camp is located west of the village Miye ou Miye and the Mieh Mieh refugee camp, southeast of the port city of Sidon and north of Darb Es Sim.
Ain al-Hilweh was established near the city of Sidon in 1948 by the International Committee of the Red Cross to accommodate refugees from Amqa, Saffuriya, Sha'ab, Taitaba, Manshieh, al-Simireh, al-Nahr, Safsaf, Hittin, al-Ras al-Ahmar, al-Tira and Tarshiha in northern Palestine. Ain Al-Hilweh is located on land that is owned by landowners from Mieh Mieh, Darb Es Sim and Sidon. Because Lebanese Armed Forces are not allowed to enter the camp Ain al-Hilweh has been called a "zone of unlaw" by the Lebanese media. Many people wanted by the Lebanese government are believed to have taken refuge in the camp as a result of the lack of Lebanese authority.
The term "Palestine refugees" originally referred to both Arabs and Jews whose normal place of residence had been in Mandatory Palestine but were displaced and lost their livelihoods as a result of the 1948 Palestine war. The UNRWA definition of the term includes the patrilineal descendants of the original "Palestine refugees". In 2012, there were an estimated 4,950,000 registered patrilineal descendants of the original "Palestine refugees", based on the UNRWA registration requirements, of which an estimated 1.5 million lived in UNRWA camps. The number of original refugees "who meet UNRWA’s Palestine Refugee criteria" was 711,000 in 1950 of which approximately 30,-50,000 were still alive in 2012.
During the 1948 Palestine War, around 85% (720,000 people) of the Palestinian Arab population of what became Israel fled or were expelled from their homes, to the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and to the countries of Lebanon, Syria and Jordan. They, and their descendants, who are also entitled to registration, are assisted by UNWRA in 59 registered camps, 10 of which were established in the aftermath of the Six-Day War in 1967 to cope with new Palestinian refugees. Being the only refugees in the world to be mainly inherited, including unregistered, displaced persons and refugee descendants, the Palestinian Arab refugee and displaced population has grown the largest in the world. They are also the world's oldest unsettled refugee population, having been under the ongoing governance of Arab states following the 1948 Arab–Israeli War, and the refugee populations of Gaza and the West Bank under Israeli governance since the Six Day War. Citizenship or legal residency in host countries is denied in Lebanon where the absorption of Palestinians would upset a delicate confessional balance, but available in Jordan where approximately 40% of UNWRA-registered Palestinian refugees have acquired full citizenship rights.
Palestinian refugee camps were established after the 1948 Arab–Israeli War to accommodate the Palestinian refugees who fled or were expelled during the 1948 Palestinian exodus. United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Resolution 194 grants Palestinians the right to return to their homeland if they wish to "live at peace with their neighbors".
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) defines a Palestinian refugee as:
In the context of the Arab-Israeli conflict, Jewish refugees who fled or had been expelled during the Jewish exodus from Arab and Muslim countries were initially resettled in refugee camps known variously as Immigrant camps, Ma'abarot, and "development towns" prior to absorption into mainstream Israeli society. Conversely, many Palestinian refugees remain in Palestinian refugee camps, while others have been absorbed into Jordanian society or the Palestinian territories.
UNRWA recognizes facilities in 59 designated refugee camps in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. It also provided relief to displaced persons inside Israel following the 1948 conflict until the Israeli government took over responsibility for them in 1952.

Footage shot on Monday showed a security wall being built around Ain al-Hilweh, the largest Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon, near the city of Sidon. The Lebanese authorities are said to be building it in response to recent conflicts between Palestinian factions. SOT, Fuad Othman, member of Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (Arabic): "We were surprised to that they started building this wall around the camp in the middle of September 2016. The wall apparently will surround Ain El Hilweh camp from the eastern side of the camp and will go round to reach Darb el Seine area, encircling the camp completely." SOT, Fuad Othman, member of Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (Arabic): "We believe that the army and the government are totally entitled to take all the...
Al Ain Travel Video - The green, tree-lined arrival to Al-Ain (the UAE's half of the Buraimi Oasis) is in stark contrast to the magnificent desert dunes you pass on the way there. Once a five-day camel trek from Abu Dhabi, and now around a two-hour easy drive, it's little wonder that its relatively cool, dry climate has always attracted those looking for respite from the harsh and hot conditions elsewhere in the emirate. The birthplace of Sheikh Zayed, Al-Ain has benefited from his patronage and passion for greening the desert, with its verdant streets and kitschy decorated roundabouts. Al Ain Travel Video is never far from this capital of the eastern region of Abu Dhabi emirate. The winding road up to the Jebel Hafeet lookout offers a magnificent view of the Empty Quarter in Saudi Arabia...

An explosion caused by a grenade, as well as gunfire was reported in the Ain al-Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp during the early morning hours for the second day in a row. This morning's incident reported occurred along the camp's Fawqani Street. Along with reports of two grenades and gunfire during the pre-dawn hours of July 26, it also comes after the assassination of Fatah official Talal al-Ordoni a day earlier. While no group has claimed responsibility, the killing was carried out by Bilal Badr, a member of the Jund al-Sham group. Fatah commander Munir al-Maqdah condemned the assassination, and stated that “We will strike down with an iron fist those who tamper with our security,” http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by Levantine Group using http://wochit.com
Over the past months, Takfiri groups are said to have infiltrated Ain al-Hilweh camp, which is the largest Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon. Commentators consider two possible reasons behind this issue. The first is the weakness of the Fatah movement and Palestinian leftist factions in the camp due to the spread of Salafist ideology throughout the region. The second reason pertains to the fact that the al-Nusra Front operating against the government in Syria has become 'attractive' to Palestinian refugees in the camp, particularly since a significant percentage of displaced Palestinians, who fled the Yarmouk refugee camp in Syria to Ain al-Hilweh, sympathize with al-Nusra.

In the three years before the attacks of 11 September, Pakistan received approximately US$9 million in American military aid. In the three years after, the number increased to US$4.2 billion, making it the country with the maximum funding post 9/11. Such a huge inflow of funds has raised concerns in the Indian press that these funds were given without any accountability, as the end uses not being documented, and that large portions were used to suppress civilians' human rights and to purchase weapons to contain domestic problems like the Balochistan unrest. Pakistan has stated that India has been supporting terror groups within the Federally Administered Tribal Areas and Balochistan with the aim of creating unrest within the country. When the days
are getting longer
and the people
come out on the streets at night
I'll be among
the starry eyes
I'll be among
the wishful sighs
I'll be among
the fools, forever fantasizing
When will I see you?
summertime would be perfect
When will I see you?
could be a long summertime
When will I see you?
endless nights of love could be ours
When will I see you?
When the nights
are getting warmer
and the dawn comes in on the wings of a song
I'll be among
the hopeful few
I'll be among
the morning dew
I'll be among
everything new
When will I see you?
summertime would be perfect
When will I see you?
there'll be no-one around
When will I see you?
endless nights of love could be ours
When will I see you?
Demand the impossible!
everyone will be free
We'll walk down the Avenue
Openly - openly
When the days
are getting longer
and the people
come out on the streets at night
I'll be the one
who knows your name
I'll be the one
who plays the game
I'll be the one
again and again and again
again and again and again, asking
When will I see you?
summertime would be just perfect
When will I see you?
could be a long summertime
When will I see you?
endless nights of love could be ours
When will I see you?
Demand the impossible!
