The Fifth Assessment Report (AR5) will provide an update of knowledge on the scientific, technical and socio-economic aspects of climate change.
It will be composed of three working group reports and a Synthesis Report (SYR). Outline and content can be found in the

More than 800 authors are involved in writing the reports. First
Lead Authors meetings have been held and the expert review of the Working Group contributions has started. For further information on the review

A number of workshops and expert meetings, in support of the assessment process, have been held and the proceedings published (see below).
The Working Group (WG) Reports and Synthesis Report, will be completed in 2013/2014:
WG I: The Physical Science Basis mid September 2013
WG II: Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability mid March 2014
WG III: Mitigation of Climate Change early April 2014
A number of workshops and expert meetings, in support of the assessment process, have been held.
The three Working Groups full reports and the Synthesis Report, the final part of the AR4,
are available online (see here below). Hardcopies of the Summaries for Policymakers + Technical
Summaries are available for free in the 6 UN official languages upon request to the IPCC Secretariat.
Hardcopies of the full reports can be purchased from Cambridge University Press.
A limited number of free copies are available for academic institutions from developing countries and
countries with economies in transition upon request to the Secretariat.
