Dead Wrong
An important film about river poisoning. For decades fish and game agencies have attempted to restore native fish and eradicate undesireable fish in targeted streams and lakes. One common method is to use fish poisons - called piscicides - primarily Rotenone and Antimycin A. In many cases the same non-native fish being targeted for removal were originally stocked by fish and game agencies decades earlier.

Rotenone Chemicals of Concern Released into Gardom Lake BC 2009
Little has been published about the over 85% of hazardous chemical "inert ingredients" of 'common' CFT Legumine Rotenone formulations. Neither a pesticide applicator nor the average person is aware about the risks to human health and the environment associated with the substances used as piscicide makers in North America are not required by any law to disclose this information. Oxidative Phosphorylation
This course is part of a series taught by Kevin Ahern at Oregon State University on General Biochemistry. For more information about online courses go to ecampus.oregonstate.edu for the rest of the courses see www.youtube.com Also check out the free textbook "Biochemistry Free and Easy" at: biochem.science.oregonstate.edu 1. For every oxidation, there is an equal and Loss of elecrons by one molecule means gain of them by another one. Oxidation is a process that involves the loss of electrons. Reduction is a process that involves the gain of electrons. 2. Electrons are carried to the electron transport system in the mitochondria by NADH and FADH2. 3. Mitochondria are the site of electron transport and oxidative phosphorylation. 4. Electrons from NADH enter the electron transport system through complex I. 5. Electrons from FADH2 enter the electron transport system through complex II. 6. Coenzyme Q (CoQ) accepts a pair of electrons from either complex I or complex II and passes electrons singly to cytochrome c through complex III. Thus, coenzyme Q acts as a "traffic cop" for electrons. 8. Oxygen is thus the terminal electron acceptor and is a limiting compound during periods of heavy exercise. 9. If oxygen is not available, electrons will NOT pass through the electron transport system and NADH and FADH2 will not be reoxidized. For these reasons, the citric acid cycle will not run either. This is part of metabolic control. 10. Several compounds inhibit electron transport ...

Al Qaeda Website Posts Call (fatwa) to Attack Water Supply. Quoted is Terrorism Analyst Steve Emerson who authored the book: "American Jihad: The Terrorists Living Among Us." Sourced from: www.investigativeproject.org Concerns for recent measures to control alien species introduced to our great lakes prompted me to seek out this news story that I had heard some few years back.\ I have a family member whose been stricken with Parkinsons. A disease she most likely acquired from a past year during which she a homemaker, had always been present during pest abatement sprayings of Rotenone, a known pathogen for Parkinsons.\ The following describes the Lake Michigan Watershed Rotenone Poisoning. "...Found to induce symptoms of Parkinsons disease in rats, this toxin is supposedly safe for human exposure. Still, it is highly advised by the US Environmental Protection Agency that the fish killed should not be eaten. Although the poison naturally breaks down after a period of time, precautions will be taken to detoxify the water. The water 5.7 miles downstream at a navigation lock will be detoxified. Still, detoxifying the water requires another dose of chemicals that will take around 12 to 16 hours to reach the downstream lock..." Sourced from: uwmpost.com Finally... Backyard Garden - September 2012
This is a quick look at my garden in early September 2012. This year, I planted 3 types of tomatoes, collard greens, mustard greens, snap beans, brown peas, lima beans, lettuce, okra, 2 types of radish, thai peppers, ghost peppers, bell peppers and egg plant. I got off to a late and shaky start in the spring, but things rebounded nicely and I got the best yield in several years of everything I planted. So I was happy about that. My freezer is getting full, and I should have enough stuff stored to last me throughout most of the winter. If one is truly interested in survival, he/she NEEDS to learn how to garden and grow his/her own food and strive for self-sufficiency in that department. Crop rotation and selection is crucial, as is having a game plan in place so that you know how to maximize the growing seasons and how to start receiving bounty from the garden as soon as possible. This is not an organic garden, although I try to use organic techniques as much as possible. Lawn clippings and yard waste go into my anaerobic composter, and the compost is used to fortify the soil. If pesticides are needed, I start with soap water solution. If that does not work, short lived pyrethrin is used. If that fails, I step up to rotenone dust.

Organic vs. Conventional Foods
www.superfoodhealthyliving.com Organic Food As you can imagine, organic agricultural practices are quite distinct from those of "conventional" farming. Conventional farmers: * apply chemical fertilizers to the soil to grow their crops * spray with insecticides to protect crops from pests and disease * use synthetic herbicides to control weed growth Organic farmers: * feed soil and build soil matter with natural fertilizer to grow their crops * use insect predators, mating disruption, traps and barriers to protect crops from pests and disease * make use of crop rotation, mechanical tillage and hand-weeding, as well as cover crops, mulches, flame weeding and other management methods to control weed growth. As a last resort, organic farmers may apply certain botanical or other non-synthetic pesticides (for example, rotenone and pyrethrins, both of which are from plants).
