Overstreet's World of Comic Books
A look at the hobby of comics, (Overstreet's role in the market) and a ton of creators including Todd McFarlane, Murphy Anderson, Carl Barks, Harlan Ellison, Gil Kane, Jack 'King' Kirby, Stan 'The Man' Lee, Julius Schwartz, Scott McCloud, William Gaines, Nimjack artist (!?) Joe Quesada and much more. Lots of other folks too like Peter David (in a snippet from David vs. McFarlane at about the 48 or 49 minute mark) and there are even semi famous people in the background (like 'Malibu' from 90s sport-game show American Gladiators among others) and a great Vampirella.... Great stuff...

Howard Chaykin ist einer der großen Veteranen der amerikanischen Superhelden-Comics, unter anderem hat er als Assistent des jüdischen Schöpfers von Green Lantern Gil Kane gearbeitet. Ruby-Spears Superman (1988) - Opening Theme
From Wikipedia: "Superman was a 1988 animated Saturday morning television series produced by Ruby-Spears Productions and Warner Bros. Television that aired on CBS featuring the DC Comics superhero of the same name (coinciding with the character's 50th anniversary, along with the live-action Superboy TV series that year). Veteran comic book writer Marv Wolfman was the head story editor, and noted comic book artist Gil Kane provided character designs." As far as I know, there is no plan to release this series on DVD. You can find clips and whole episodes on YouTube. EDIT 11/13/09: On November 3rd, 2009, Warner Home Video released all 13 episodes on a two disc DVD set. www.amazon.com This theme along with all the other musical cues from the show (and all 4 feature film soundtracks) can be found on the 8-disc "Superman: The Music (1978-1988)" from, I think, Film Score Monthly. Superman and everything about him is © DC Comics Superman was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.

Power Records: Spider-Man - The Mark of the Man-Wolf
Produced by Herb Davidson and Charlotte Saunders. Written by Gerry Conway, art by Gil Kane, Ross Andru, John Romita, and Tony Mortellaro. This was pretty good. I think the 90's cartoon was about the same as this, but had his origin shown. This just explains it, but I always liked Man-Wolf.
