The Muppet Christmas Carol - Scrooge
The Muppet Christmas Carol - Scrooge
The first appearance of Ebenezer Scrooge. Transcript: In life, the Marleys had been business partners with a shrewd money-lender named Ebenezer Scrooge. You will meet him as he comes around that corner. Where? There! When? Now! There he is; Mr. Ebenzer Scrooge. Say, is it getting cold around here? When a cold wind blows it chills you, chills you to the bone. But there's nothing in nature that freezes your heart like years of being alone. It paints you with indifference like a lady paints with rouge. And the worst of the worst, the most hated and cursed, is the one that we call Scrooge! Unkind as any and the wrath of many, this is Ebenezer Scrooge Oh! There goes Mr. Humbug, there goes Mr. Grim, If they have a prize for being mean, the winner would be him! Oh Scrooge he loves his money 'cause he thinks it gives him power, If he became a flavour you can bet he would be sour! Even the vegetables don't like him! There goes Mr. Skinflints, there goes Mr. Greed, The undisputed master of the underhanded deed. He charges folks a fortune for his dark and drafty houses, As poor folk live in misery; It's even worse for mouses. Please Sir, I want some cheese. He must be so lonely, he must be so sad, he goes to extremes to convince us he's bad! He's really a victim of fear and of pride, look close and there must be a sweet man inside...Nah! There goes Mr. Outrage, there goes Mr. Sneer, He has no time for friends or fun; his anger makes that clear. Don't ask him for a favour 'cause his ...

Christmas Carol - Trailer (1938)
The timeworn Dickens' story about the old merchant Scrooge and how his own disappointments in life shape his view that both life and men are not worthy of his notice or concern. He displays no charity to mankind generally, and in particular, to his employee Bob Cratchett and his unfortunate son, Tiny Tim. But the dessicated gent is about to get his comeuppance when he imagines he is visited by the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future.

A New Ebenezer Scrooge
A New Ebenezer Scrooge
Ebenezer Scrooge (Jim Carrey) offers to help his Clerk Bob Cratchit's (Gary Oldman) struggling family and gives him money to get more coal to warm himself. Bob leaves confused, as Scrooge shouts an eager "Tally Ho, Bob!" and concludes the story saying that Scrooge became a better man. Charles Dickens classic story 'A Christmas Carol' has been my favorite holiday story since 2005! In my Opinion this is the Best Christmas Carol Movie of them all! =)

A Christmas Carol -- Ignorance & Want
In the film version of Dicken's classic, A Christmas Carol, starring Alistair Sims, the Ghost of Christmas Present tells Scrooge about the wretched creatures under his robe: "They are man's. They cling too me for protection from their fetters. This boy is Ignorance. This girl is Want. Beware them both. But most of all beware this boy. Scrooge asks: "But have they no refuge. No resource." The Ghost mocks Scrooge with own words: "Are there no prisons? Are there no workhouses?"

Charitable Deductions and Ebenezer Scrooge
Charitable Deductions and Ebenezer Scrooge
When you think about charitable giving, the first name that comes to mind probably isnt Ebenezer Scrooge. Just the opposite is more likely, since Charles Dickenss character is so memorably stingy that his name has become a synonym for miser. Yet President Obamas proposals to reduce tax deductions for charitable contributions made me think about Mr. Scrooge.Rick Kahler, CFP, resides in Rapid City, South Dakota and is a fee-only financial planner. He is the co-author of "The Financial Wisdom of Ebenezer Scrooge"

SCARY JINGLE BELLS! Spooky Ebenezer Scrooge style!
Hey weirdo "Jingle Bells" cut to the latest adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic story "A Christmas Carol". The animated film was put out in 2009 by Disney and directed by Robert Zemeckis. Scrooge is played refreshingly well by Jim Carey. If you haven't seen the film, you should check it out - www.imdb.com I found this very dark version of "Jingle Bells" in the Crash Test Dummies album "Jingle all the Way" released 2007 - lead vocals by Brad Roberts - www.crashtestdummies.com or www.amazon.com Enjoy! Thanks for watching freak!
