Libyan polling stations prepare for historic day
It's an historic day in Libya as nearly three million people go to the polls, in the first democratic elections for nearly half a century. Turnout is expected to be high, with around 80% registered to vote. Although the shooting down of a helicopter carrying election materials near Benghazi on Friday has cast a dark shadow on the eve of the ballot, the election organisers say they are ready to make it work. Al Jazeera's Paul Brennan reports from Tripoli.

Fear and Voting in Cairo: Post-Mubarak polls open amid public anger
Two days of voting are underway for Egyptians, as they decide on a president to replace Hosni Mubarak, who was toppled last year. But it's already been marred by bloodshed, with a policeman shot dead outside a polling station in Cairo. As for the vote itself, some who took to Tahrir Square to bring change say none of the candidates represent the revolution. Political analyst Nabila Ramdani says the choice for Egyptians is mostly down to two options - and it's not even clear what powers the new President will even get. End The Afghanistan War - New Poll
Via The New York Times: "After a series of violent episodes and setbacks, support for the war in Afghanistan has dropped sharply among both Republicans and Democrats, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News poll. The survey found that more than two-thirds of those polled — 69 percent — thought that the United States should not be at war in Afghanistan. Just four months ago, 53 percent said that Americans should no longer be fighting in the conflict, more than a decade old...".* The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur breaks it down. * www.nytimes.com Subscribe to The Young Turks: bit.ly Find out how to watch The Young Turks on Current by clicking here: www.current.com The Largest Online New Show in the World. Penn and Teller Defend Ron Paul vs. Luntz and Fox News
Frank Luntz is a propogandist tool, who knows the ways the select 25 were acquired in that room and who knows what they were told before Luntz tries to discredit the text message poll Fox had. Video is taken from Penn + Teller Bullshit: Numbers. Frank tells them how he can manipulate what people think by simply asking the right question the right way. Based on the final clip it sounds like he's pro-Hillary. If we want a Republican that can actually win against Hillary or Obama we need Ron Paul! Every time you see a poll that was 'scientifically selected' keep in mind that tha questions themselves may be biased and that Ron Paul wound actually polled higher if it was issue based, not name recognition based.

Obamacare, Mandates and Regulatory Confusion: Reason-Rupe Poll Results with Emily Ekins
A new finding by the Reason-Rupe Public Opinion Survey shows a majority of Americans dissatisfied with the health care law being debated in the Supreme Court while simultaneously confused about the role of government in current health care policy. "About 40 percent [of Americans] thought it wasn't regulated enough," explains Reason Polling Director Emily Ekins. When it comes to health care reform, "it's hard to move forward if people aren't clear as to what the market currently looks like."Reason.tv's Nick Gillespie sat down with Ekins to discuss the poll's findings, what Americans think about the current health care system, and the misconceptions surrounding regulation in the health care market. The Reason-Rupe survey is online here: reason.com This Reason Foundation project is made possible thanks to the generous support of the Arthur N. Rupe Foundation. FOX Deceives, Swaps CPAC Straw Poll Footage (FOX NEWS CAUGHT)
RTR.org | http | FOX NEWS CAUGHT - This just in. FOX news channel has just been caught in a blatant attempt to distort the perception of the 2011 CPAC Straw Poll results. On the February 15th broadcast of America's Newsroom Fox Reported the results of the win. when they opened the report they played the recording of the 2010 results rather than the actual 2011 recording. A clear difference is seen in the crowd reaction and in the attire worn by Tony Fabrizio who read the results to the audience. The crowd reaction was remarkably different even though Ron Paul won in both cases. In the 2010 recording you could hear more booing and groaning from the audience [FOX CLIP] Now in the 2011 recording you can hear a truly excited crowd. [CPAC CLIP] This is a clear attempt to persuade America that Ron Paul is not accepted by the majority even though he truly is. Fox is no stranger to minimalizing Ron Paul's wins. During the 2008 Presidential Election, Fox ignored their own polling data from text Message polling and online Polls where Ron Paul was the clear winner. This, however, is the first time they have been caught SWAPING footage in an attempt to sway public opinion of a Presidential contender. The first shot of the 2012 election season has been fired by the spin masters at FOX news against Ron Paul and it is time for you to act now and demand a full retraction, explanation, and apology for the false reporting. Scott Walker Will Survive Wisconsin Recall: Reason-Rupe Poll Results
Will Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) get bounced from power for busting public employee unions? And what message does the June 5th recall election against Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett (D) hold for other states struggling to balance their budgets? For the coming showdown between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney? The latest Reason-Rupe Poll reports from the Badger State. Passed last year, Walker's controversial Act 10 restricted collective bargaining rights for many public employees, causing the backlash that led to the recall election. Walker says such actions were necessary to contain costs and balance a budget facing a multi-billion-dollar shortfall. His opponents say that Walker is paying for tax cuts to the wealthy by cutting salaries and spending that help middle-class residents. The Reason-Rupe Poll surveyed 700 Wisconsin residents during May 14-18th and found that while a large majority (71 percent) want public employees to contribute more to cover their health benefits, residents are not clearly against collective bargaining per se (51 percent want to see it "limited"). Fully 57 percent thought that police and firefighters - exempted under Walker's plan - should also pay more their benefits. Although more residents support Barack Obama (46 percent) than presumptive GOP candidate Mitt Romney (36 percent), 50 percent want Scott Walker to keep his current job, with just 42 percent favoring Tom Barrett. "A quarter of those who plan to vote for Scott Walker have a favorable ...

Fox News Spins Obama 2012 Poll Results?
100+ examples of Fox News Bias at www.youtube.com Although I thought it was a sign of President Barack Obama's political strength that a recent Public Policy Polling survey shows, despite economic hard times, Obama polls within the margin of error against major Republican 2012 rivals like Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, and MIke Huckabee, Fox News didn't report it that way, and, worse, left out important information when reporting on the poll as I show in this video. The Fox News clip with anchor Juliet Huddy I use in my video comes from the segment on "America's Newsroom" broadcast on July 19, 2010, available online at video.foxnews.com The information from the Public Policy Polling survey and the PPP trademark comes from the document at www.publicpolicypolling.com The image I use of the Crooks and Liars article criticizing the conservative leanings of Rasmussen polling comes from the webpage at crooksandliars.com And, finally, the image I use of my own Fox News Bias playlist comes from the YouTube webpage at tinyurl.com
