Simon Wiesenthal Center Lists Nazis: Yad Vashem & SWC Directors Say War Criminals' Age Irrelevant
In the continuing search for Nazi war criminals, the Simon Wiesenthal Center recently published an updated list of suspected Nazis who are still alive. They worry that as time passes, many of them are dying without facing justice. This was especially evident in the recent death of John Demjanjuk, who died in Germany as a free man during his appeals process. At the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum, where hundreds came for Holocaust Remembrance Day, the archive's director said age shouldn't make any difference in prosecuting suspected Nazis. Director Haim Gertner said, "There are no limits for justice, we think, and as far as is possible, we think that criminals has to be sentence, at least from its educational and moral objectives." The director of Simon Wiesenthal Center's Jerusalem office, Efraim Zuroff, had this to say, "It's still critical to bring Nazis to justice. One is that the passage of time in no way diminishes the guilt of the killers. The fact that they were able to elude justice for many years doesn't change anything. Two, we don't think old age should protect people who committed mass murder. Just because someone reaches the age of 80 or 90 doesn't turn a mass murderer -- or a murderer -- into a righteous gentile. We're obviously at a very late stage. In another few years -- two to three years, this will no longer be possible. So it should be done as quickly as it can be done."

Grußwort Rabbi Abraham Cooper (Simon Wiesenthal Center)
Berlin, 26.10.2011: Verlesung des Grußwortes von Rabbi Abraham Cooper, stellvertretender Direkter des Simon Wiesenthal Center (Los Angeles) bei den Protesten gegen den Auftritt des iranischen Vize-Finanzministers Mohammed Reza Farzin bei der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Auswärtige Politik. Englischer Originaltext siehe unten. Weitere Informationen: de.stopthebomb.net/de/dgap.html "Inviting dialogue with a senior Iranian official about "problem solving in Afghanistan" is like asking a professional arsonist to advise authorities on how to stop a wave of forest fires. Further, the promise of possible German "energy cooperation" with the Mullahocracy in Tehran at a time when the EU and the US struggle to thwart Iran's nuclear ambitions, is beyond irresponsible; it further empowers and emboldens the regime which promotes denial of the Nazi Holocaust, whose president threatens to finish Hitler's job by threatening the annihilation of the Jewish State and whose policies daily undermine the stability of the entire Middle East and beyond. The fig leaf that this meeting is arranged by a foundation, fools no one. We urge the German authorities to bar the entry of the senior Iranian official and to urge the foundation to instead convene a solidarity meeting for the countless Iranians incarcerated because of their pro-democracy views or religious beliefs..."

Simon Wiesenthal Center Documents Online Hate
The Internet in many ways is a virtual extension of the real world, a place where people gather, engage in commerce and acquire knowledge. It is also a place exploited by stalkers, thieves and terrorists. The Simon Wiesenthal Center in New York and Los Angeles has identified thousands of websites, blogs, and social networking pages that it says directs online hate. VOA New York Correspondent Peter Fedynsky has more.

Rabbi Marvin Hier on CNN's Joy Behar Show
"The Simon Wiesenthal Center applauds Christian Dior for putting principle above profit and taking necessary action against a bigot whose public displays of anti-Semitism demanded that Mr. Galliano be removed," said Rabbis Marvin Hier and Abraham Cooper, dean and associate dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, a leading Jewish human rights NGO. "Christian Dior's principled response is especially important at a time when the Wiesenthal Center has bemoaned a spike in public anti-Semitic diatribes emanating not only from marginalized extremists, but from among elite personalities in media, finance and public policy." "As for the world's top designer, if he cannot control his bigotry in the future perhaps he can find a job designing clothes for Mahmoud Ahmadinejad," Wiesenthal Center officials concluded.

LIZ TAYLOR SPEECH 1980.mov
The Simon Wiesenthal Center mourns the passing of Elizabeth Taylor, a longtime friend of the Wiesenthal Center. She, along with Frank Sinatra, was among the early supporters of the Center from its inception and served on the Center's Board of Trustees in the 1980s. "Elizabeth Taylor, who was a great admirer of Simon Wiesenthal, narrated our first documentary film, Genocide, the story of the Holocaust, which won the Academy Award™ in 1981," said Rabbi Marvin Hier, founder and dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center. "Elizabeth is known throughout the world as an Academy Award™ winning actress, but what is less known is her devotion to philanthropic causes and in 1980, she received the Center's highest honor, its Humanitarian Award. She will be sorely missed," Hier concluded.

15000 Websites That Spread Terror and Hate
This is the VOA Special English Technology Report, from voaspecialenglish.com | http Hate groups and terrorists are increasingly using the Internet to spread their beliefs. The Simon Wiesenthal Center based in California says the problem is getting worse. The center has released its latest "Digital Terror and Hate" report. Rick Eaton is a researcher with the group. He says the Internet offers a lot of information not only about things like making explosives, but also about kidnapping and guerrilla warfare. And many times, he says, this information is connected with political philosophy on not only how to do it, but where you should do it and what targets you should attack. The new report identified about fifteen thousand websites considered problematic. They included news groups, social network pages, YouTube videos and games that could incite hatred. Officials say there was only one such website when the center first launched the project in nineteen ninety-five. Rick Eaton says al-Qaida was one of the first terrorist groups to use digital technology. He says the group's online presence continues to grow. The Simon Wiesenthal Center is a Jewish human rights organization. This is its fourteenth year reporting on Internet terror and hate. Rabbi Abraham Cooper is associate dean of the center. He says hate websites increasingly target religious minorities. In his words: "Whether it's a hate crime in the United States or if you're looking at the targeting of Christians from ...

Open Doors Live with Carl Moeller and Rabbi Yitzchok Adlerstein
Open Doors has shared a lot about the Arab Spring through the perspective of persecuted Christians. Do you ever wonder how other minorities are impacted by the revolutions? Open Doors USA and The Simon Wiesenthal Center have hosted a webinar on the Arab Spring and the effect it is having on religious minorities. Rabbi Yitzchok Adlerstein, Director of Interfaith Affairs at the Simon Wiesenthal Center, and Dr. Carl Moeller, Open Doors USA President/CEO, address such issues as Sharia law and its effect on Christians, what the revolts mean for religious minorities and the future of religious freedom in the Middle East in 2012. Since December of 2010, numerous countries in the Middle East and North Africa have undergone a significant amount of change through the upheaval of governments called the "Arab Spring." At the beginning of Arab Spring, some Christians thought the revolts would be a positive development in countries such as Egypt, Libya and Tunisia. Over a year later, it has become apparent that the outcry for reforms has not benefited everyone. For many religious minorities in these regions, it has become an "Arab Winter," as they have seen their religious freedoms eroded even more. We ask you to join us in this important discussion. Please leave your questions and comments below.

Jews Schmooze Tom Cruise - Angry Gay Pope silently protests alone
I turned purple when I heard that the Simon Wiesenthal Jewish Center was honoring Tom Cruise for "humanitarian work." How can they give an award to the planet's number one promoter of a religion which wants to replace Judaism? Not only has TC promoted the scam of Scientology, he has also benefitted from the labor of their slaves. Ex-cultists complain they were paid $50 a week to customize Cruise's motorcycles, his private jet hanger and more. Scientologists are also Holocaust deniers, preferring to blame the event on "psychiatrists." Cruise is a close personal friend of cult leader David Miscavige who many have accused of being abusive and dangerous. Plus the cult has formed an alliance with Jew-baiter Louis Farrakhan and his group the Nation of Islam. Like what you see? Please donate at www.angrygaypope.com . Even tiny donations help!
