Otto Knows vs. Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen - A Million Good Times (Stelmix Mashup Radio Edit)
Here is the radio edit of the latest mashup from me, "A Million Good Times." Enjoy! DOWNLOAD: soundcloud.com FULL MAXI-SINGLE: www.sharebeast.com If you really like my work, don't forget to follow me on: FACEBOOK: www.facebook.com TWITTER: www.twitter.com ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: Haven't released a new mashup in over a month (just remashes and extended versions). Let's fix that with a simple 1 vs. 1 warmup mash so I can get back into the swing of things after a two-week vacation. Afterwards, I'll probably be back to working on the freestyle dance album that I've been hinting at for so long. DISCLAIMER: Because of your great feedback, this track is now PUBLIC, just in time for MASHUP MONDAY. Please feel free to share this, but as usual, DO NOT POST THIS TRACK AS YOUR OWN. Thanks! Extended versions are done! Click "GET THE MAXI-SINGLE" to get the radio edit, mixshow edit, and definitive mix all in one pack! DESCRIPTION: Million Voices by Otto Knows is an uplifting song. So good that it has been mashed quite a bit, usually using Coldplay - Fix You or OneRepublic - Apologize. This time though, I decided to use the new Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen song, Good Time, in an attempt to take down the Disney cheese factor a bit and turn it into something a little more uplifting. Both "Million Voices" and "Good Time" happen to be in the same key at 126 BPM, so no time stretching was needed here. The vocal phrasing was a bit tricky here, but it always is with Million Voices. Enjoy! PHOTO ...

SUSAN BOYLE ☆ I DREAMED A DREAM ☆ COMPLETE VERSION
*** FULL HIGH QUALITY VERSION*** Britains Got Talent 11/04/09 - SUSAN BOYLE sings "I DREAMED A DREAM" [ HQ ] The most stand out audition of the show was that of 47 year old Susan Boyle. Susan first appeared with Ant and Dec declaring that she is a single woman who lives with her cat. Not only has she never been married but she also admitted that she had never even been kissed. Susan looked like your typical batty old aunt, gold dress and all and when she walked on to stage you could just feel the scorn of the audience. Simon Cowell didnt look too hopeful when Susan said she wanted to be a professional singer like Elaine Paige and when she said she would be singing I Dreamed a Dream from Les Miserables. But then Susan sang and the amazement of the crowd was clear. It was the type of audition that makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck and the tears well in your eyes, it certainly had that effect on Amanda Holden. Piers Morgan called the performance stunning and Simon told Susan she was a little tiger. She seemed a bit baffled by the description. Britain's Got Talent 2009 kicked off on April 11 and there will be seven audition shows on consecutive Saturdays before a week of nightly shows so fans can pick two finalists who will battle it out on May 30 2009. ***UPDATE*** Saturday's show (8.20pm - 9.50pm GMT on May 23rd) is more auditions, plus the judges will pick the best 40 acts from all that got though in the auditions to perform in the live shows. The text used for the narration of “Passing Through” is part of a speech Serbian scientist and inventor
Nicola Tesla delivered in 1893 at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. Though today less known than
figures like Edison and Einstein, Tesla was more or less the father of much of our modern technology, since
he among other things developed the foundations of the European electrical system based on alternating
currents and the principles of wireless radio communication.
At the time he was deeply influenced by the Austrian physicist and philosopher Ernst Mach, believing
that the world should be conceived as a whole where everything is interconnected influencing each
other. And that energy is a force that runs through everything be it inorganic matter, organisms or human
consciousness. According to this line of thought every single action has universal consequences, not unlike
what the father of modern chaos theory Edward Lorenz in the 1960’s termed ‘the butterfly effect’.
.
“Passing Through” is made at Kolding School of Design in connection to the Danish iPower-project.

Narration text:
"Like a wave in the physical world, in the infinite ocean of the medium which pervades all, so in the world of organisms, in life, an impulse started proceeds onward, at times, may be, with the speed of light, at times, again, so slowly that for ages and ages it seems to stay, passing through processes of a complexity inconceivable to men, but in all its forms, in all its stages, its energy ever and ever integrally present.
A single ray of light from a distant star falling upon the eye of a tyrant in bygone times may have altered the course of his life, may have changed the destiny of nations, may have transformed the surface of the globe, so intricate, so inconceivably complex are the processes in Nature. In no way can we get such an overwhelming idea of the grandeur of Nature than when we consider, that in accordance with the law of the conservation of energy, throughout the Infinite, the forces are in a perfect balance, and hence the energy of a single thought may determine the motion of a universe.”

Signal To Noise
Time-lapse footage taken at the Very Large Array in Socorro, New Mexico; one of the largest Radio Astronomy Observatories in the world.
As a learning exercise, and something to challenge myself, I wanted to try to combine two of my favorite things: motion-graphics and time-lapse photography.
I also wanted to see if I could stretch my editing techniques a little further.
The VLA really is a legitimately amazing thing to see in person. If you've ever considered making a visit, you should.
It's an awe-inspiring feat of human engineering, and the surroundings are gorgeous. Unbelievable skies in New Mexico. I caught some nasty weather, but it was still a great experience. I'm definitely going back!

Brilliant Noise by Semiconductor: Ruth Jarman and Joe Gerhardt
Avaliable on DVD! with 12 alternate soundtracks http://www.semiconductorfilms.com/WorldsInFluxDVD.html
Brilliant Noise takes us into the data vaults of solar astronomy. After sifting through hundreds of thousands of computer files, made accessible via open access archives, Semiconductor have brought together some of the sun's finest unseen moments. These images have been kept in their most raw form, revealing the energetic particles and solar wind as a rain of white noise. This grainy black and white quality is routinely cleaned up by NASA, hiding the processes and mechanics in action behind the capturing procedure. Most of the imagery has been collected as single snapshots containing additional information, by satellites orbiting the Earth. They are then reorganised into their spectral groups to create time-lapse sequences. The soundtrack highlights the hidden forces at play upon the solar surface, by directly translating areas of intensity within the image brightness into layers of audio manipulation and radio frequencies.

Solar rework
I have been working on a real-time version of the Solar piece from a couple years ago. Since it is going to be responding to people's voices and ambient noise instead of music, I started listening to podcasts while I was developing it. I made this video to commemorate my new found love for WNYC's RadioLab podcast. Thanks to Branden Hall and Bill Lindmeier for introducing me to it.

Neale Donald Walsch - How to break free from poverty & hard times?
Neale Donald Walsch is an American author of the series Conversations with God. Before writing the Conversations With God series Walsch worked variously as a radio station program director, newspaper managing editor, and in marketing and public relations. In the early 1990s he suffered a series of crushing blows — a fire that destroyed all of his belongings, the break-up of his marriage, a car accident that left him with a broken neck. Once recovered but alone and unemployed, Walsch was forced to live in a tent in Jackson Hot Springs, just outside Ashland, Oregon, collecting and recycling aluminium cans in order to eat. At the time, Walsch thought his life had come to an end. Despondent, Walsch began his writings after working his way out of homelessness and following a stint as a radio talk show host. In 2003, the film Indigo, written by Neale Donald Walsch and James Twyman and directed by Stephen Simon was released. It chronicled the fictional story of the redemption of a grandfather, played by Walsch, through his granddaughter, who is an indigo child. Conversations With God: The Movie opened in US theaters Friday, October 27, 2006 and in Canada, November 10. The film was released on DVD February 27, 2007 from en.wikipedia.org To support the juicy living tour and to watch more video interviews, visit www.JuicyLivingTour Donate now to support the Juicy Living Tour at http Stay tuned on the Juicy Living Tour and where it is right now in the world from Lilou's facebook fan ...

The Moth Presents Anthony Griffith: The Best of Times, The Worst of Times
A comic must earn his living as a clown while suffering the ultimate heartbreak. Anthony Griffith lives in the mountains of California at 5000 feet elevation in an animal protected community. It's much different from the inner city of Chicago where he used to live, but he still travels doing stand-up. He says that the overwhelming positive response of him telling his story at The Moth has prompted him to write my one man show and pen other short stories now in development.

Dream Theater - The Best of Times (studio version)
The fifth track from the Dream Theater album "Black Clouds and Silver Linings". Lyrics by Mike Portnoy: Remember days of yesterday And how it flew so fast The two score and a year we had, I thought would always last The summer days and west coast dreams, I wished would never end A young boy and his father, Idol and best friend I'll always remember Those were the best of times A lifetime together I'll never forget The morning shows on the radio The case of the missing dog Lying on the pillows at the old 812 Watching Harold and Maude The record shops, the stick-ball fields My home away from home And when we weren't together The hours on the phone I'll always remember Those were the best of times I'll cherish them forever The best of times But then came the call Our lives changed forever more You can pray for a change But prepare for the end The fleeting winds of time Flying through each day All the things I should have done But time just slipped away Remember "seize the day" Life goes by in the blink of an eye There's so much left to see These were the best of times I'll miss these days Your spirit laid my life each day Thank you for the inspiration Thank you for the smiles All the unconditional love That carried me for miles It carried me for miles But most of all thank you for my life These were the best of times I'll miss these days Your spirit laid my life each day My heart is bleeding bad But I'll be okay Your spirit guides my life each day
